Jungle Hiking

Jungle Hiking On Property

Las Villas de San Buenas offers its residence more than just a wonderful and convenient place to live – it also offers some great amenities onsite including an 18 acre private jungle for hiking. This land has been placed in protective trust and will never be developed. We are currently in the early stages of establishing a study center on location to provide educational opportunities for students from around the world to study the bio-diversity of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. This is a great way to go jungle hiking and a great form of relaxation and exercise.

Jungle hiking in costa rica

It is very common on a daily basis to hear howler monkeys, toucans, loros (parakeets), scarlet macaws and a wide variety of other animals, birds and wildlife. We have cut in the first set of hiking trails and will soon be adding signage, tree identification markers and information throughout the jungle. This will help educate all of our visitors about the amazing biodiversity found in Costa Rica, and in particular, Las Villas de San Buenas.

We have put in hand rails where necessary and have had clients up to 75 years old hike the path. We have put natural resting areas throughout the trail to provide easy and comfortable resting spots. As an owner in Las Villas de San Buenas you have access to this private jungle anytime you would like to use it.

Below are some photos of the amazing wildlife that is found in this private jungle oasis. All photos and videos on this page were photographed or recorded in Las Villas de San Buenas’ private jungle.
