The house is a short and serene drive up the mountain and through a security gate. As we arrived at the Casa, I was blown away by how beautiful and spacious the house looked. Walking into the house – you are hit by the smell of the ocean & words can’t even describe how absolutely breath taking the view of the ocean and the Whale’s Tail is.
The house was beautifully built – the modernity and the openness of the house makes it feel inviting and luxurious. Thanks to the large windows surrounding the house we almost never missed out on opportunities of seeing the abundance of wildlife outside – I saw many different kinds of butterflies, toucans, frogs, and howler monkeys. Since we visited during the rain season, everyday the clouds would roll into mountains in the afternoon and the house would literally be in the clouds – which was super cool and amazing to experience.
The rooms are gorgeous and simple – the beds are handmade from local wood and were extremely comfy. Everyone in my family also got a robe on arrival as well to use for our stay! My favorite part of our room was the shower – it was a rainfall shower and had windows in the shower so I could watch the wildlife as I took a relaxing shower.
During our stay, we went on a snorkeling trip to the island Cano which is an island you can actually see from the property (if the weather is clear you will be able to spot Cano straight ahead from the pool). During the snorkeling trip we saw whales breeching and dolphins jumping from the water. We also went on the ATV tour through the mountains. Both excursions were extremely fun and I highly recommend doing both.
Overall, this trip was by far one of my favorite vacations. Being in a house that beautiful and inviting truly made me not want to leave Costa Rica. Yet, it is a perfect escape and truly is a hidden gem for anyone.

Next Level Home
This contemporary home checks all the boxes needed for a luxurious Costa Rican vacation. Home is so well thought out with views from every single room; even the commode rooms have views! Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is well appointed. Pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all.
Costa Verde Estates is an exclusive gated community, and 4 wheel drive is required. Trip up and down the mountain takes about 20 minutes.
We cooked many meals here, after grocery shopping at BM in Uvita. We also ate at our favorite fish taco place, El Pescado Loco, in Dominical. Ordered great NY style thin crust pizza at Pizza Time in Uvita.
We went on Corcovado tour with Bahia Aventuras, who would use EVERY time we come to the area. Amazing outfit. Also, hiked to Nuayaca Falls, and swam at our favorite beach, Playa Ventanas.
House is perfectly situated to do it all. However, you must spend some time just enjoying the house and property. Lots of wildlife: Howler monkeys, Toucans, Parrots, and a Coati who sneaks around the property looking for stuff for his stash 🙂

The initial setup was confusing, but OSA made it up by upgrading us to a biger a nicer home for the late cancelation of the original property we had reserved. The overall experience was very good and responsive. We would stay at this property agian

Absolutely amazing
This home is by far the best place we’ve ever been! It is breathtaking and hands down would go back . Besides the horrible road to get to it everything was just perfect, from the fruit trees to the herb garden and the outside shower it’s freaking amazing!!!!

La casa es espectacular, la vista hacia montañas y mar es increible.
Las fotos que se muestran en la pagina son iguales a la propiedad. Es un refugio donde las personas encuentran la paz y tranquilidad que andan buscando. Los locales del pueblo son muy amables y generosos. Aca ud puede andar en bicicleta, correr y caminar, ademas de ir a las diferentes playas.
Preferiblemente ir en vehiculo 4×4.
Nick y Abigail son muy agradable y se preocupa por el bienestar de sus huespedes.

Surprisingly, getting to the location was not that bad. The house was in the mountains, so if you can get a Jeep or vehicle that sits up high, I would recommend going that route. From the main road it takes about 20min to get to the house. The house was absolutely beautiful and the views were gorgeous!!! This is the type of house that if you stay at the residence for your entire visit, you will be okay!
We used the private chef that the host recommended and the food was delicious and plentiful.
Down side about the house is that there was no A/C downstairs and it was just fans. The A/C was only upstairs in the bedrooms and it does get really cold which is perfect for the hot weather. There was also some evidence of bugs being in the house (walked into spider webs in the bathroom, and some bug droppings around the windows), but nothing to the extent that made us feel uncomfortable in the home.
Overall we loved the home and have already recommended it to our family and friends!
