This home is as advertised!
We have stayed at a lot of rentals over the years and pictures don’t always tell the story. But they sure did on this occasion. This home is amazing in and out. The home is about five minutes up the hill from the little town center of Ojochal where there are several top notch restaurants, pub, cafe and groceries.
The gated home is in the jungle but still offers a good amount of sun and shade.
The pavilion with hanging egg chairs overlooking the river and waterfall was one of our favorites in the morning and afternoon. There is a maintained path down to the river and waterfall where we were able to sit in a natural pool just below the falls. There is also a “yoga” deck overlooking the river and jungle which we sat each morning for coffee. The entire back yard space and pool is Very private.
We saw toucans everyday and had two different types of monkeys come by 4 of our 7 days. We saw several tree frogs, agouti and other critters which the kids loved checking out.
The home is well maintained and has spa like aromas, which was awesome.
The house has higher end appointments than the average rental especially in the kitchen.
It reminded us more of an owners actual home who was away and let us use it rather than a typical “rental.” The house is extremely clean and airy. There are more than a dozen sliding glass doors throughout. After the first night we switched from using the AC to keeping the sliders and windows open. The sound of the waterfall knocked us out.
OSA management was also excellent. We had a few questions and they responded without delay.
We will 100% be back.

Extremely clean, with everything you need and then some. Property Management is on point and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. By far, the best place we’ve stayed. We stayed 5 nights here as part of our first trip to Costa Rica (after 2 nights in La Fortuna). Communication with the host was excellent—they gave great referrals for local tours and even a couples massage at the home. Arrival was smooth even at 10pm, though 4WD is recommended. The house is in quiet, peaceful Ojochal, close to Uvita. We loved the setting—great for relaxing and enjoying nature. The home itself is beautiful: a great layout, well-equipped kitchen, nice pool, and amazing views of a nearby waterfall. AC is only in bedrooms, but main area is cool with screen doors and fans. Conversation pit doesn’t make for the best lounging/watching tv setup. The master has a king bed (a bit soft for us but we slept well). Note: you will hear and see nature—expect some bugs indoors. Pool may get debris but is cleaned regularly. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher were all very handy. Highly recommend this property—it truly enhanced our Costa Rica experience.

Vi havde et super dejligt ophold i denne vidunderlige bolig, som er endnu smukkere end billederne kan vise.
Flot indrettet hus, skøn terrasse og smukke udenomsarealer - man fornemmer virkelig at være midt i naturen, og haven er meget privat og ugeneret, med flotte træer og planter samt floden med vandfaldet lige i baghaven.
Vi nød at være omgivet af dyreliv, og så både en masse kolibrier, sommerfugle, tukaner, papegøjer, brøleaber mv. direkte fra haven af.
Alt i alt havde vi et fantastisk ophold med vores 3 børn, og kan kun anbefale stedet til andre som ønsker et sted de kan være sig selv og slappe af i et lækkert hus i smukke omgivelser, som har stort set alle faciliteter tilgængelige inkl. nogle gode brætspil for hele familien.
Vi anbefaler stranden Playa Colonia, som er gratis, og ligger lige udenfor Uvita - vi var der i starten af maj og var heldige at have stranden for os selv flere morgener i træk! Wauw!

Beautifully appointed, totally private home with great indoor/outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Close to the restaurants and markets of Ojochal. Setup was perfect for two couples traveling together - each wing of the home had its own air-conditioned bedroom/bathroom for space and privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate on the covered patio for all meals so we could enjoy the birdsong and sounds of the waterfall in the backyard. We even spotted howler monkeys and toucans in the trees. The host was responsive to our questions and made a great recommendation for an in-home massage service. The home is located on the main road through town and occasionally, the road noise disrupted our outside time. The only thing missing was a working ice-maker and a note about using the entry gate remote. Overall — it was terrific stay and we would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Ojochal.

Die Villa liegt etwas höher gelegen, direkt neben einem kleinen Wasserfall. Das Haus, der Pool und der Garten sind sauber und ordentlich gepflegt. In der Küche sind alle denkbaren Utensilien vorhanden und auch fürs BBQ ist gesorgt. Es war wunderbar morgens auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken und den Kolibris zuzusehen. Ab und zu waren auch Brüllaffen zu hören und Tukane und Schmetterlinge flogen vorbei. Tatsächlich ist diese Terrasse zu meinem 2. Lieblingsplatz auf Airbnb geworden.
Mit dem Auto fährt man ca 20 min nach Uvita, wo es den besten Bäcker in der Umgebung und weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt. In Ojochal selbst können wir das Restaurant Citrus sehr empfehlen.
Der Check-in und die Kommunikation liefen hervorragend ab.
Insgesamt ein tolles Haus in einer sehr schönen, touristisch nicht so überlaufenden Gegend.

This was one of the most beautiful homes we’ve ever stayed in! The house was stunning and impeccably clean, very comfortable and secure. We loved going in the pool every day we were there and sitting out by the river drinking coffee in the morning. The neighborhood is also very cute; we went down and explored the shops and restaurants a few times and they were all great. Would recommend this house for anyone visiting the Ojochal area!!!

Our family’s stay at Vista Cascada was truly exceptional. This property is absolutely stunning inside and out. The house’s modern and elevated design integrates the feel of Costa Rica and is so well executed. The extensive floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors bring the outdoors in. The house is nestled in the jungle, up on the mountain, and feels incredibly peaceful and private. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying the gorgeous yard and pool, and watching (and hearing!) the howler monkeys was such a cool experience. The photos in the listing do not capture the magic of this place. The home was as functional as it was inviting and was equipped with everything we needed. This was our first time visiting Ojochal and we fell in love with this charming community, which had a few restaurants and proximity to attractions and creature comforts, but was removed enough to not be touristy. This is one of my all time favorite Airbnbs and I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

C’était parfait, c’est vraiment un lieu unique dans une villa parfaite. Les espaces sont très grands, il y a absolument tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner; faire des gâteaux et de supers smoothies avec les fruits dans la corbeille quand on arrive.
La location est luxueuse et elle vaut clairement le prix affiché. On se sent en sécurité tout en se sentant comme à la maison.
Elle est bien située proche de Uvita et Bahia (25mns) mais aussi des mangroves vers Sierpe (35/40mns). Et il y a des restaurants proche de la villa (assez chère quand même…).
Il n’y a aucun reproche à faire, les photos sont mêmes moins bien qu’en vrai car les espaces sont tellement grands (sans parler des lits qui sont King size ++).
Je le recommande à 100%!

Highly recommend this Airbnb! Surrounded by beautiful jungle, you feel like you're immersed in nature. A stunning waterfall in the backyard, monkeys visiting in the daytime, great outdoor amenities including pool, shower, two covered patio areas! The home was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Getting there was a bit tricky at first, but that was entirely on us—we should have read the detailed instructions that were provided ahead of time! Once we followed them properly, it was smooth sailing.
We all fell in love with this place, there are a handful of great restaurants less than 10 minutes away that made the stay even more enjoyable and convenient! Highly recommend. 🌿✨

The Osa property was amazing for our family of 4. The house itself was bigger than it looked in the pictures and the AC units worked well in the bedrooms for the hot climate. The yard was amazing and being woke up by nature especially the howler monkeys was a welcomed and unique experience (for us anyways). The property mgmt team was extremely responsive and helped answer all questions in a very friendly way. I would definitely recommend a 4WD vehicle as the the last bit of road is steep and unfinished. Location wise its a very private property but still accessible to restaurants, markets and amazing beaches all within a max of 20 mins drive (some closer). We definitely plan on returning to this property next time we visit Costa Rica which in itself is an amazing place to spend your vacation.

This is a beautiful property that has everything you need. The home is nestled into the jungle with access to a small river and waterfall. We saw and heard howler monkeys and toucans every day on the property along with other animals and critters.
The house is well equipped, lots of towels and linens, kitchen gadgets, etc. The outdoor grill was great, we used it every day.
As for the town/area of Ojochal, it’s quiet and not as developed as other tourist areas in Costa Rica. Not too much to do here other than go to the beach (Playa Ventanas was our favourite) which was fine for us, very relaxing and slow pace.

Had a wonderful time at Vista Cascada. It happened to be the height of the rainy season this visit and we had an amazing stay as a group of 3. The sound of the raindrops on the surrounding jungle foliage all around the villa was magnificent. Another relaxing element is the river and waterfall sound at the back of the property from down in the valley. The free flowing air in each room with the windows open (good screens on all patio doors) was nice. The use of wood and stone in the construction gives this home a new and modern feel with a good incorporation of glass to embrace the great views of the green space outside. The landscape is well maintained and the covered areas for relaxing out back are nice. We had a great amount of beautiful birds and butterflies gracefully visiting the property daily. Close to the beach and paved most of the way. A wonderful quiet area with good neighbours all around, we were able to feel a part of it staying in the beautiful community of Ojochal.

We’ve been travelling in Costa Rica for more than a year and we stayed in 100+ different airbnbs all over the country. We have never seen such great built quality in the entire country, everything was truly made by professionals, the design and construction is top notch. We felt ourselves like at home. Pure pleasure to stay there in the rainy days of rain season. Just sitting and watching the waterfall and river in our backyard rising quickly into gigantic size and power, while being far enough to be totally safe, it’s unforgettable. We went for a little night tours into our river and met a lot of tiny green frogs, insects, opossums, birds, lizards, spiders etc. During the day we had visits of toucans, parrots, iguanas. As well as visits of a whole howler monkey family to the backyard. Enjoyed them from such close distance. Our cute friend Agouti came to backyard daily, he loves fruits! This Airbnb and the team are one of the best experiences we had so far. Don’t wait, book it!

Une merveille ! À notre arrivée, nous n’en croyions pas nos yeux. On se sentait comme des vedettes hollywoodiennes. Nous avons passé 15 jours au Costa Rica dont 4 dans cette villa et c’est de loin notre plus beau séjour. Et que dire du service… il n’y avait pas de grille-pain et de cuiseur à riz, ce qui ne nous aurait pas dérangé. Mais quand j’en ai fait part à l’hôte, elle nous a envoyé quelqu’un nous livrer les deux appareils flambants neufs en moins d’une heure. Un service impeccable dans une villa de grand luxe.

Thank you Osa Property for the wonderful stay. The home is beautiful inside and out. The property is just like in the photos, a jungle paradise. We we saw the big majestic blue butterflies every morning as well as dart frogs and tucans. The property management folks were above and beyond. They helped us book tours and were very quick to respond to any questions we had. A gated entry would be nice, but we never felt unsafe.

All I can say is WOW. This house is beyond gorgeous and the surrounding area is breathtaking. We loved exploring the waterfall and wildlife including frogs, howler monkeys, butterflies, spiders, scorpions, parrots, and grasshoppers. The house had everything we needed and more. There’s nothing like coming “home” after a day of adventuring! The zip lining and ATV tours booked with the property management company exceeded our expectations. This house is stunning; the design, decor, finishes, landscape and surrounding forest. It’s fully stocked so you have anything you need if you want to cook but the area also has many incredible restaurants. The town of Ojochal is so cool, built in the mountains right off the highway while also being close to the beaches, there is so much to do.
We encountered countless bird species, howler monkeys and cool insects. The property management group is easy to get in touch with and there are clear instructions for the house.
Do yourself a favour and spend some time in this house in the rainforest!

This property is spectacular. Perfect spot for a peaceful stay in the jungle. We enjoyed the waterfall right below the house, yoga on the lookout, and awesome wildlife viewing. This is our second time to Ojochal and we really love the community. Great coffee and restaurants nearby and feels very safe and quiet. The house was also perfect for our family. The layout features one wing for the master suite and a separate wing where our young kids stayed. The architectural details of the house are fantastic and everything we needed we had. Property managers were also very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this home.

The only issue with this house is it right off…
The only issue with this house is it right off a semi busy road and the whole front of the house is glass. I have traveled a lot and I’ve never stayed in a multi million dollar home that didn’t have some sort of privacy/security fence. One of the mornings we stayed a panhandler came up the driveway asking for money. Again, not a big deal. But it was a little awkward. Especially because we had kids.
This is not the property management company’s fault but the people that built the house should have included a gate. This house is amazing and there are probably lots of amazing houses in the area, but they are all behind some sort of gate.
I never felt unsafe But there were always cars driving by and they could see in the house.
That said, it is the most beautiful and well equipped house. It was amazing to stay there for four days swimming in the pool. You have a private waterfall and a trail down to the creek. The yard, the flowers, the decorations, everything was superb.
A 5 star house.

The house in Ojochal was amazing and our experience with Osa Property was great. It was the nicest rental home we have ever stayed at over several vacations in Costa Rica.  I cannot say enough about the ideal layout of the house, and the beautiful backyard overlooking the creek and waterfall. Our stay was extremely relaxing and enjoyable! Also, Playa Piñuela is the place to go if you want a beautiful quiet beach.

The house in Ojochal was amazing and our experience with Osa Property was great. It was the nicest rental home we have ever stayed at over several vacations in Costa Rica.  I cannot say enough about the ideal layout of the house, and the beautiful backyard overlooking the creek and waterfall. Our stay was extremely relaxing and enjoyable! Absolutely stunning home with elegant and luxurious design. You will love the sunrise on the patio and a dip in the pool in the afternoon. All the decor and furnishings in the house are carefully thought out. Osa property management helped us with several things throughout our stay. Restaurants are right down the road and you will not find a more gorgeous property to enjoy. private and spacious. Absolutely love the sunken den and gorgeous shower. The pool is beautiful. You can walk down to the river to view the private waterfall. Yoga deck overlooks the waterfall.

Communication with OSA was excellent! Very attentive and responsive. Villa was great with good size bedrooms, a nice outside area and a very well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed our time in the villa. If you want an nice experience in the jungle, near a waterfall, we would definitely recommend this villa.
