Ballena Bistro is the closest restaurant ( a few hundred meters south at the entrance off the highway ) and it’s one of the best in the area. Only open until 4 pm during the week .
Villa Leonor at Ballena beach Club is 2 km south of the entrance off the highway in the right. Great spot for Costa Rican Food and a great spot to watch the sunset from the beach. Try the BBQ red snapper steamed in Banana leafs on weekends!
Best coffee premium in Costa rica! Bought the Poas medium roast it tastes like salted caramel! Also don’t forget to stock up on the coffee liqueur its more expensive at the airport.
This was our favorite restaurant in the area and went for breakfast and dinner! The food was fresh and plentiful and the atmosphere was just perfect! The staff was so kind and really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. The coconut fish tacos with mango were my absolute favorite dish! Highly recommend!
Their sign says “best wings on Planet Earth”. These wings were definitely in the top three best wings I have ever had. They were crunchy and saucy!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Costa Rica. The service is above five star the food is absolutely amazing and the view is looking over the marina are spectacular. I could not rave enough about this experience and restaurant Mark the owner is also an amazing individual.
Food is excellent and the view on the beach right next to the National Park is great. Definitely try the fried red snapper!
Really liked this place. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We came during lunch hours and I had seen on the reviews that the dinner menu had salmon so I asked if we could get it and they said it was no problem. Also got a caesar salad and a lemon pie. Both were also great.
This place was delicious and the portions are huge. The meat is cooked on a hanging grill over a wood fire. All the meat was super juicy, and the vegetables were delicious. I prefer my steaks with a little more char, but the steak was perfectly medium rare. It is an open air restaurant, so if it’s really hot outside you may want to consider that. There was a torrential downpour before we got there, so the temperature was perfect. The handmade Adirondack chairs and wood tables were pretty cool. Overall it was a great experience. Be ready to eat. It was a lot of food. The meat came with a baked potato, grilled tomato with garlic butter, and a very smooth and creamy tasting baked potato.
Good location, very good food is like homemade! Accessible prices for everyone. Excellent and fast service. 100% recommended🇨🇷
Approve!
Love the pizza crust well made, cute place nice views, has a wagon for some dining and other balcony style seeting we saw 2 monkey’s here
The food was delicious and the view from the patio bar was great.
The food here was so delicious and fresh. We tried two casados and a fresh juice. The waitress was very friendly and the bathrooms were clean
One of the best dinner I have had in Costa Rica! Fresh seafood, amazing Casado and to top it all off, the service was impeccable. Glen and essoud took such good care of us!!! They were so genuinely hospitable.
The location is fantastic, directly with sea view.
It is a little more expensive but the food is great and the view unique! The staff is very friendly.
best cheap&tasty soda in town. it’s always packed. be ready to wait little bit. their watermelon juice is highly recommended.
Very kind service and amazing view! This restaurant is like a hidden gem not many people know of!
Excellent. The place has an amazing view. The food is really good, it has a nice variety and the service is exceptional. Totally recommend
Excellent cocktail food and service. Everything we order is fresh and well prepared.
Such a great experience! They go above and beyond to provide a lunch, afternoons spritzer, and dinner experience that is second to none. We were welcomed by Jean Carlo at the pool bar who made us unique cocktails that were out of this world!! Then Joshua and Cesar made our dining experience absolutely incredible! Chef Alberto served us a whole snapper that was the best fish we have ever had! Thank you to this incredible staff!
Large, clean rooms. Breakfast buffet every morning was delicious with gallo pinto and other local fruits and fruit juices! Also great entertainment from the animals who visited and spa services!
We took catch of the day – seabus and mahi-mahi. Both were delicious. Ah, and coffee Cubano was great even without sugar. Lovely view and friendly service.
ood was really great! We both had the Choripan sandwiches and fresh watermelon juice. All of the ingredients were fresh and there was a excellent attention to detail.
Great place to eat a sandwich before the beach or grab it on the go. All of the meats are cured in-house, which is what makes the sandwiches so good. The bread is locally sourced from a nearby bakery. The owner herself makes you the sandwiches and it is evident she takes pride in her product.
You can add additional veggies to the sandwiches and change sauces based on your taste. I had the muffalatta sandwich with the Greek salad dressing and it was delicious. My husband had the pastrami sandwich with whole grain mustard on rye bread, perfectly made.
They will also sell the meat by the kilo if you want to make your own sandwiches at home. The meats are like nothing you’ll find in any grocery store in Costa Rica. We will be coming back!
Absolutely delicious!!! The food, service, drinks and entertainment were amazing!!!!
Excellent customer service, good food and okay prices. I really liked the Mar y Tierra; the meat was very good. The passion fruit mojito was excellent. They have several tables with a view to the beach that is excellent.
Nice restaurant with a wonderful view. Quality and portions of the dishes is good.
Staff is kind and nice !!
Excellent experience and takeout. Shrimp
were large and vegetables cooked just right.
Tasty food, best Pizza so far in Costa Rica and very friendly service. Can‘t go wrong with this place!
This is a great spot to sit and relax whether it’s enjoying a latte or a cocktail. I also had breakfast a few times and it was great.
It is definitely the best coffee we had in Costa Rica, made with tradionnal italian coffee maker ! The iced-coffee is so tasty, with sweet milk we loved it.
We also tried the Shakshuka, it was awesome, super rica, perfect to get plenty of energy before going surfing on the amazing playa Chaman !
Outstanding plates, service and price, I love the environment the attention and the vibe, please visit everything on the menu is incredible!!
