Wir haben uns in der Casita Quetzal sofort willkommen und wohlgefühlt – zur Begrüßung gab es sogar Blumen, frisches Obst und Kaffee. Die Unterkunft bietet viel Komfort: eine wunderschöne Außenanlage mit Pool, eine hervorragend ausgestattete Küche, Waschmaschine und Trockner sowie großzügige, schöne Zimmer. Besonders angenehm fanden wir, dass Verbrauchsartikel wie Toilettenpapier, Spülmaschinentabs und Waschmittel reichlich vorhanden waren. Auch die Kommunikation war jederzeit schnell und unkompliziert. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Lage: Direkt nebenan befindet sich, von der Unterkunft aus nicht sichtbar, ein sehr guter Maxi Pali Supermarkt, den man in etwa zwei Minuten zu Fuß erreicht. Zum Strand sind es ebenfalls nur rund zehn Minuten gemütlicher Spaziergang. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Haus in Uvita, Costa Rica. Das Haus ist super groß und sehr geräumig, mit besonders hohen Decken im Wohnzimmer, die ein tolles Raumgefühl schaffen. Alles wurde wirklich gut ausgewählt und wirkt hochwertig. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet – es fehlt an nichts, sogar ein Geschirrspüler ist vorhanden, was den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm macht 😃 Auch die Außenlage mit dem privaten Pool ist wunderschön, ruhig und zum Entspannen. Amazing property. The backyard is wonderful. It feels like a private jungle. Secluded, many species of birds, flowering plants, banana trees. The pool is awesome and the patio furniture is very comfortable. The air conditioners cool the place quickly. This place is truly a gem. Would absolutely stay in this place again if visiting Uvita. Clean and comfortable stay for us. Wish the kitchen was better equipped (needed to buy basics like salt, seasonings, and oil to cook). The grill also didn’t have any propane so we couldn’t use that. Water pressure was finicky and the power would go out randomly everyday (typically at night). Wish the pool filters weren’t on a timer so we could have the waterfall going for a longer period. Overall it was a nice place to stay and fit our needs. Response: Thanks for writing a review. We're sorry you didn't have a 5-star stay. The Concierge was friendly, courteous and helpful. The house and backyard were clean and tidy.

Great place to stay! 10 min walk to the nearest beach, restaurant options are nearby but we ended up driving to nicer ones. OSA property management was responsive. We found other reviews about the condition of the house to be accurate.

Loved the town, so may hidden gems. Lovely neighborhood for the home. Exactly as described. The only issue is the water pressure, it sputter and Can go from frigid to extreme heat, just be careful. The pool is great and the amenities are wonderful.

Casita Quetzal es impecable y cuenta con amenidades completísimas. Incluso antes de llegar ya teníamos toda la información necesaria: detalles del lugar, restaurantes, tiendas, servicios, emergencias, tours, etc. El ingreso fue muy fácil y, al entrar, nos esperaba una bandeja con frutas y un cafecito delicioso; un detalle que nos encantó. El lugar en sí es precioso, muy tranquilo pero a la vez céntrico, lo que facilita muchísimo moverse hacia las playas y restaurantes. Definitivamente es el “go-to” en la región. 100% recomendado.

Amazing doesn’t begin to describe this Casita! The fresh fruit and bag of coffee awaiting us when we walked in were such a sweet touch! The provided toiletries in each bathroom not only were a pleasant surprise but smelt so good! I wish we would’ve stayed longer so I could’ve taken advantage of the kitchen, talk about a kitchen made of dreams! When we were arriving I reached out to Abigail because I needed a ride from the Casita to the rental car agency and she got me in touch with William’s taxi company right away, resulting in a flawless execution of getting to the rental car office without wasting any time. Oh and a HUGE plus for me, not only did each bed have 4 pillows, but there were spares in the closets. I sleep with 4 for comfort due to medical issues that require propping and finagling to ease discomforts, and almost always have to make due with a few, but I got the best sleep of my entire trip there (and my husband got a couple pillows lol). We really enjoyed our 10-day stay at this beautiful house. The backyard was our favorite spot to relax, with plenty of birds, lush plants, and the pool—it felt like a little oasis. The house itself was spacious and comfortable for our family. We loved seeing macaws every day, and the beach was just a short, easy walk away. The property management team was also very responsive and helpful when we had small issues with the hot water and AC. Overall, a wonderful stay!

It was AMAZING, this was the best airbnb I have ever stayed in.

Beautiful house exactly as pictures show. Sheets, blankets, and linens were fresh. Had all pots, pans, and utensils needed for basic cooking. SO appreciated that the house came with coffee, laundry soap, and dishwasher detergent to get us started. Five minute walk to Bahía Ballena National Park one way; five minute walk to large grocery store the other way. Management company was very responsive—main bedroom’s a/c wouldn’t turn on first night; by mid morning on the second day, they had a repair man replacing the entire unit. Would absolutely stay here again for a girls’ trip, two couples, or a 4-6 person family.

This was our first visit to Uvita, and we chose this location for its proximity to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. There are two stores within walking distance and a restaurant at the end of the street. The beach is just a few minutes away, while the Whale’s Tail is about a 45-minute walk via the beach or adjacent trail. We loved the quiet street and felt very safe during our stay. The home’s layout was perfect—with split bedrooms and a spacious, open kitchen/living area. Our favorite feature was the covered back patio and private pool. We spent hours outside swimming, listening to music, and relaxing under cover during the occasional rain. The outdoor half bath was also a great bonus. While in Uvita, we recommend visiting La Uvita Perdida for dinner—go about an hour before sunset or during low tide for amazing views of the Whale’s Tail. We would stay here again if we're ever back in Uvita.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the villa. The location is perfect: close to the beach and shopping options and the house itself is spacious, spotless, and very well equipped. The pool and garden are beautifully maintained and created a relaxing atmosphere. Communication with the management team was excellent: professional, responsive, and helpful at all times. Even my boys enjoyed going to the gym nearby, which was just a few minutes away by car. We would definitely love to come back!

The house was perfect for our stay. It was very well equipped, lots of stuff that we didn't expect but were super practical like beach towels, beach chairs and so on. We enjoyed the big kitchen and being able to really cook meals. Our kids also enjoyed the pool very much especially the fancy light-options and I loved the stereosystem with different speakers in different rooms. The house was also in walking distance to the beach and there's a big supermarket a few steps away.

We recently stayed at a stylish, well-equipped home in Uvita and overall had a pleasant experience. The modern design and well-stocked kitchen were highlights, along with the beautiful pool. However, the property is managed by a company rather than an individual host, which showed in small details—like the lack of bedside reading lamps. We also experienced minor maintenance issues with the hot water and air conditioning, though management responded quickly. The main drawback was significant noise from neighbors on Friday and Saturday nights, which disrupted the peaceful atmosphere we were hoping for at the end of our trip. In summary, it's a lovely home with many positives, but noise from nearby properties may impact your stay if you're seeking tranquility.

We loved our stay in Uvita. The house had great space and the pool was perfect for a kid. Everything was extremely detailed through the guidebook. The recs were great. It also had a Simpli Safe alarm system which put us at ease. We did have issues with hot water on the last day of our stay.

A beautiful house with a great location in Uvita. Plenty of space for our family of four, with a fantastic backyard and swimming pool. There were a couple of instances where we didn't have running water (lasted a few hours), but it was due to work in the area. Generally, the water pressure in the taps could have been better, and the hot water in the shower was unstable. All in all, we had a great stay and can recommend the house to others.

This place was very comfortable for our family of 4. We love the outdoor space and the kitchen was very well appointed for dinners at the house. This is the perfect home for a family staying in Uvita! Nice private backyard with a pool for the kids, comfortable patio furniture, big table for meals outside and ceiling fans to keep the bugs away! The beds were comfortable, air conditioning was great and the kitchen had everything we needed! We loved the basket of mango, papaya, bananas and coffee waiting for us, thank you! This is a beautiful little house that, unfortunately, had many issues during our stay. There was a problem with the plumbing that we reported the day before we left. We were told it would be reported to the maintenance company and repaired after we left. Not really helpful to us as it was the water. The problem became a larger issue the night before we left and not only were the pipes making loud noises, but the water shot out of the faucets. The washer and dishwasher didn’t work at all. We didn’t shower this morning as the drains were also not draining. They wrote to say they would make sure someone repaired it. The other issue was that a pool man came to the door and asked to be let into the house. The company said that this is part of their house agreement, but I don’t know that man and did not allow him into the house. Weird, uncomfortable request. Overall, an unfortunate stay, but I hope they make the repairs because it is a nice little house. A shame. Response: Hola Christa! We are sorry for the inconveniences you encountered. That is obviously not what we expect our Guests to endure. In this case, the entire sector of Uvita was without water. The pipes making noises and then shooting out of the faucet was caused by air in the pipes due to the repair the ASADA (local water utility) had done to provide water back to the community. In terms of pool cleaner - yes - that is done twice a week and clearly explained in the Guidebook, along with the name/logo of the company of who will be appearing and on what days of the week. By servicing the pool twice a week we ensure that everything is working well and properly balanced in the swimming pool. We hope to have the opportunity to Host you again! Pura Vida! Villa is huge and well equipped, the pool is in the small side but still helped us cool off. The kids had fun with it.

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay at the Casita. The pool was fabulous and we and our 2 kids spent most of our day in and around it. The garden is very private - with gorgeous, lush greenery around and beautiful flowers. We felt secluded in a good sense - only visited by birds (lots of hummingbirds, gray-cowled wood rails, sometimes we even saw macaws flying past), green iguanas lounging on the neighbours' tree and some squirrels and butterflies. The fittings and furnishings were of high quality and comfortable. The space inside was great and more than we needed. Very well equipped kitchen. Alarm and safe present. We made use of the laundry room as well (it was great to have the dryer there, as generally clothes don't tend to dry well in Costa Rica due to the moist air). It was a very quiet neighbourhood with nice villas all around. 10min walk to the beach (within the national park, so with 6$ entry fee for adults), 2 min to a great Mexican restaurant, 5min walk to a supermarket.

This home was fantastic. Stayed for one week with two school aged kids. Loved the pool, walkable beach and peaceful neighborhood. Would highly recommend this rental for families.

We loved our stay in Uvita. The property and garden were amazing. There was everything we needed to make it feel like home. We used the coffee machine, made smoothies in the blender and even cooked meals in the slow cooker. The convenience of the washer and dryer meant you didn't have to overpack. The location was quiet but near a fabulous couple of restaurants, a supermarket and a short walk to a National Park beach where you can swim and surf. Somedays we chilled out by the pool and on others we took day trips in our hire car. We saw Whales, Tapirs, Monkeys, birds and beautiful butterflies to name just a few. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and location and only hope that someday we can return to this amazing country to take in some more of the outstanding natural beauty.

I have spent beautiful 10 days in the house with 2 kids) Beautiful house with everything you need, walkable distance to the supermarket, restaurants, not crowded beach (bear in mind that it is a beach in the national park and you need to pay for the entrance). Rainy evenings were stunning there, listening to drops on palms, birds singing. Private pool is great to swim at any time and play, dryer so helpful with wet climate, barbecue to make nice dinner. Thank you for being our host, will be back)

Casa perfecta en una excelente ubicación, muy tranquila y cerca de todo. Completamente equipada y la piscina es espectacular. La comunicación con el anfitrión fue muy buena; hasta nos dejaron frutas, galletas y café de bienvenida. Una excelente opción!

We had a wonderful stay. Everything we needed was in the house, and there was even extra fruit waiting for us when we arrived. The house is close to the Marine Park and a MaxiPali grocery store is a 2 minute walk away. A water pipe outside the house broke while we were there, but Abigail and the team kindly sent us a refund for the inconvenience. Overall, I loved this house and the experience! It was also definitely a memory maker watching whales in the Parque Nacional Marino Ballena!

Beautiful, serene and clean new property in nice neighborhood, walking distance to a Mexican restaurant, groceries and the beach. Whales tale is a trek on the beach, but worth it! The management was very responsive in fixing some issues with plumbing that we had (new construction kinks) and answering other questions. Read over the guide you will receive after booking, very detailed and good info. The home is close driving distance to town center and a number of restaurants with great views of water and sunsets. Highly suggest Aracari at La Cusinga (maybe 5-10 mins) and La parcela (closer to dominical, walk out the opposite side of the restaurant to a viewing point for sunset). We tried N Fusion- VERY difficult drive up the mountain w/ 4x4 and views at Aracari were better, besides they close early. The flower gardens around the home were a haven for great bird watching and provided nice privacy. The pool was lovely to hop in at all times of the day. Would stay again!

Perfect beach house.

Immaculate vibes! The backyard is perfect. We spent so much time relaxing outside. Neighborhood has everything you need. Walkable to restaurants, full grocery store + market, and access to the beach. The concierge was so helpful with taxis - we even booked massages to come to the house! Would definitely stay here again!

The house was great. Loved the space. Sadly the WiFi did not work but that was beyond their control as something had effected the power station that puts off the WiFi Signal in the neighborhood. The hot water also was not working because the tank was empty but once it was fixed it was fine. But it was great that they had maintenance on it to resolve it. Everything else was perfect. Great property near the National Park and a great Mexican restaurant. Beautiful pool and backyard. Saw many birds.

We had a great week on our family vacation. 2 adults, 2 children. House is better than in pictures. Perfectly well appointed kitchen and great queality linens. The house itself has everything you need and more, even board games. Location was amazing, easy access, peaceful area. Some days we just stayed at the house in the pool. Very serene area. Check in was very easy, directions for the house were straight forward and simple. We plan on coming back in July. Thank you OSA Properties!

Amazing place for our honeymoon! We enjoyed the privacy of the house, the backyard and pool were our own little oasis. We could walk to the beach and the great restaurants were just a short drive away! Highly recommend this spot, the host and property management were so helpful and kind!

We had a great time at Casita Quetzel! The location is incredible - close to the beach & grocery store & within walking distance of an excellent restaurant with very friendly staff. The house was clean & we particularly loved the floor plan with the bedrooms & baths separated by the living area. The pool is lovely & refreshing with beautiful landscaping. We will be back!

This AirBnB has a great layout for friends to share. The center has kitchen, dining & living area & each side has a bedroom and bath so there is good privacy. The pool is perfect for swimming & sunning plus there’s a pool bathroom. There is a good restaurant in walking distance & the ocean beach is very close by.

The home was perfect. The pool and outside patio was just so relaxing. The beach is a short walk. Uvita has everything you would need for a wonderful vacation. Wales Tail was definitely a highlight.

Loved the house and location. We met many friendly people, did some awesome adventures near by, and loved Whale Tail beach area.

The Casita Quetzal is a brand new house in a very quiet area 7 minute’ walk from Parque Marino Ballena. The pool is lovely and overall we enjoyed our week vacation very much. Highly recommended! An absolutely wonderful stay! The home was gorgeous the moment you walk in with a great open kitchen and wonderful backyard. The backyard has seating and an outdoor table to have all your meals at. The backyard is serene and the pool is perfect. They have everything you need to make your meals. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are wonderfully done. There is laundry inside the home, which is helpful. 10/10 recommend this place. Will be back to not only stay at this home but rent from OSA again. Response: Thanks Jw! La casa es preciosa, está muy bien ubicada y es súper cómoda. Los muebles y detalles de muy buen gusto. Prácticamente estrenamos la casa, mi único comentario es que había algunas facilidades listadas y que no estaban en la casa, como plancha o secadora de pelo. En general Casita Quetzal nos encantó y disfrutamos muchísimo nuestra estadía, volveremos.
