We had a great stay at Casita Catalina, which is walking distance to the beach. It has a great pool, AC, and fast wifi. The two-suite layout works well for a family. Host communication was great, very responsive, with clear check-in instructions well ahead of arrival. Everything went smoothly. We were especially grateful for the host connecting us with a local transportation service we wouldn’t have been able to find on our own. We’d stay again and recommend for families looking for a comfortable spot near the beach.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à la Cassita. Tout était parfait et corresponds exactement aux images. Secteur tranquille et très paisible. Nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité tout au long de notre séjour. Beaucoup de bon petits restaurants à distance de marché dont le Kinsu, le Nativo ainsi que le Boba La Ballena. Plus traditionnel La Flore de Bahía était aussi très bien. Côté plage c’était aussi parfait. Marcher pour s’y rendre, la plage Chaman est un secteur du parc de Marino Ballena donc payant mais tellement belle, ça vaut vraiment la peine. Nous avons adoré nos journées. Et que dire de la petite piscine; parfaite pour les fins d’après-midi. Nous y avons vu beaucoup d’oiseaux, des toucans, des perroquets ainsi que des chevaux. We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The outdoor space is beautiful and we enjoyed listening to the wildlife around us. A high light was seeing the macaws fly above and perch in a nearby tree.

Beautiful house with all of the amenities. It was great having a grill and a pool and a comfortable outdoor space protected from the rain. The location was also fantastic, it’s close to restaurants and the beach. I will definitely recommend it to friends!

We spent a wonderful 5 nights at this beautiful house in Uvita. The location was great - 5mins from the beach, lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops in direct proximity. You could easily walk to the Whale Tail for sunset which was stunning. The property has everything you could need for a relaxing stay - comfy bed and sofa, well-equipped kitchen, great BBQ, powerful shower, frosty aircon, safe off-road parking. The private pool is obviously a massive benefit, especially as the loungers were under shade and we could relax during the fierce heat of the day. The management company were very responsive and helpful at all times. There was a lovely bunch of flowers and fresh fruit left at check-in which was the icing on the cake. A perfect place!

Die Casita Catalina hat uns sehr begeistert. Die Annehmlichkeiten wie Pool und Aussenküche, 3 WCs, 2 Schlaf- und Badezimmer, Ventilatoren und Klimaanlage, top ausgestattete Küche inkl. Waschmaschine und Trockner sowie 10min zu Fuss zum Meer haben unsere Tage in Uvita zum perfekten Abschluss unserer Costa Rica Reise gemacht. Wir waren mehrmals am Strand (Baden nur bei Ebbe möglich) und haben den Nauyaka-Wasserfall besucht.
Winziger Kritikpunkt: Im Pool waren viele Blätter vom Laubbaum vom Garten der Nachbarn.

Die Unterkunft war großartig! Alles war sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet – es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Besonders der Pool war ein absolutes Highlight, vor allem in Kombination mit dem Grill.
Ein weiterer Pluspunkt war, dass wir auch eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner nutzen konnten.

Magnifique maison lumineuse avec un extérieur très invitant. La piscine est plus petite que sur les photos mais très agréable quand même! Le plat de fruits, les fleurs et le café ont eu un effet « Wow » dès notre arrivée. Tout sentait bon aussi!
La communication était excellente et ce fut très facile d’accéder à la maison. La plage Chaman est accessible à pied (entrée payante).
Nous avons adoré l’aspect un peu sauvage des environs de la maison et le petit sentier parallèle à la plage rempli de singes capucins.
Pour deux couples, les chambres étaient semblables avec chacune une salle de bain complète attenante à la chambre. Un matelas est à changer cependant dans l’une d’elle car le matelas creuse et le lit craque beaucoup.
Suite à ce commentaire, la gestionnaire a répondu avec beaucoup de gentillesse et transmettra nos remarques au propriétaire. À part cela, nous avons tout aimé de la maison et d’Uvita!

Great location just a 10 minute walk to Playa Chaman. We loved the comfy living room and beautiful bathrooms, and the home had all the amenities we needed for a stress-free stay. Lots of towels, pillows, comfy linens, and the high ceilings give the house a spacious feel. We loved doing yoga out by the pool and wish we had more time to make use of the BBQ area. We would definitely stay again.

The place was great! We had a few small hiccups but that’s Costa Rica and the management was on top of everything and very responsive! We loved the privacy and the pool and the covered seating are. Also had a daily visitor cat that was fun to visit with and a sweetheart! It was nice to have the security gate. They helped us book a private chef Ronny that was amazing! I highly recommend him and his wife! I also highly recommend staying here. It was truly a sanctuary!

We had an incredible time in Uvita and thoroughly enjoyed have this beautiful space to call home while we were there. The pool was nice and felt very private. Everything was very clean upon arrival and we had everything we needed, including pool towels. The host was very responsive both before and during our stay to answer any questions. Das Haus konnten wir leicht finden. Das Grundstück ist gut mit einem Tor gesichert, und man kann sein Fahrzeug sorgenfrei abstellen. Als wir das Haus betreten waren wir gleich begeistert, es war alles super sauber und man konnte sich wie Zuhause fühlen. Draussen ein kleiner aber sehr schöner und gepflegter Pool, den wir sehr oft nach unseren Ausflügen genutzt haben um uns zu erfrischen. 5-10 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt ist der atemberaubend schöne und riesige Strand, so dass wir für Strandbesuche und gebuchte Ausflüge nicht mit dem Auto fahren mussten. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten die wir anmerken und verbessern würden wäre Qualität und Bequemlichkeit der Betten. Diese Knarren laut sobald man sich bewegt und die Matratzen sind nicht wirklich bequem. Der Trockner ließ sich nur schwerfällig bedienen dass man dachte man reist den Einstellknopf ab. Es wurde uns sehr schnell geholfen, aber mit einer entsprechenden Beschreibung am Gerät wäre einfacher.

We had a lovely stay at this property in Uvita. The kitchen was fully equipped, the outdoor grill was perfect for meals, and the pool was very refreshing during the warm days. We loved being close to the beach for walks, and the nature nearby made the it feel extra special.
The house was spotless, and the thoughtful touch of fresh fruit and coffee after our long journey was much appreciated!
The only small challenge we experienced was with the WiFi after a rainstorm. We understand that’s typical for the area, but mentioning it in case future guests plan to rely on it for work, as we did.

Osa Property management team was fantastic. We loved our stay in this beautiful home and this town is so very special but it was also full of excitement. The house is on a gravel side road Calle La Pista. We had a bit of hard time but if you see Cabinas de Castro it’s across the street from Calle la Pista. We lost power upon check in and the Osa team were quick to help us locate flashlights and report the outage. Luckily the safe is battery but the exterior gate is electric so I asked for a manual override key so we could still get out & they came the next morning to help. After all that when we came back from the beach the following day we were locked out due to loss of power w/ the manual override key inside the property. Lol! The power typically returns in 20 minutes. Hot water is wonderful and solar powered so be sure to shower before doing laundry. Even set to cold the wash machine used hot water. We absolutely loved our stay and Osa was super helpful. We would return.

The house and its location was all that we could’ve asked for and more! The house was equipped with everything we needed, including cooking utensils, toiletries, and beach towels. The pool and backyard made the house even more enjoyable. We felt safe behind the locked gate. A perfect gateway for a great price!

This property was in a great location. Within walking distance from the beach and some restaurants. We loved the local feel and watching the surfers on the beach. The house itself was private and clean. The pool was an awesome perk and we loved hanging in the backyard. We noticed in the description it said the pool would be cleaned twice a week but we didn't know when the cleaner would show up. He randomly opened he gate one day and we were slightly nervous but he was quick and very nice! We also saw plenty of wildlife there and the birds even peck on the windows to get in so don't let that scare you 🙂 It is slightly down a gravel road with a few pot holes but just take it slow and you will be fine. We would definitely recommend this place!

We had a fantastic stay here! The house was beautiful, nicely furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is about an 8-minute walk to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the ocean whenever we wanted. There are at least four great little restaurants within walking distance, so going out for a meal was always convenient (highly recommend the empanada place!). After days spent at the beach or exploring the area, the private pool was the perfect place to relax. Honestly, we almost hate to leave such a good review because we would love for this house to still be available next time we come back. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is beautifully designed and we particularly loved the pool and outdoor living area. There’s also an option to use the outdoor bbq, shower and bathroom. The home was perfectly located close to the beach and restaurants, with a mini mart near by. It was also easy to find as it’s listed on google maps (genius!) The property management company was extremely responsive and proactively reached out to see if they could assist us with anything.
Would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Uvita and we hope to make it back some day.

Very nice property, very well designed and thought of and with a great attention to details. Located very close to the beach which is part of the national parc which is why the access is not free ($6.8 USD / person) and local restaurants. You can take advantage of affordable surfing lessons on the spot if you ask around. The restaurants suggestions from the property guest book is worth trying, we found La Choza De Alejo a very good one and close by with the car.

This is a great house in a great location. Beautifully appointed and had everything you would want in it. Nice set of pots and non stick pans, sharp knives, food storage containers, even a cooler to take to the beach!
Little hiccup upon checking in and accessing the house initially but smooth sailing after. Great spot near everything but not on the main drag. Would stay here again.

Perfect Beach Getaway
Pictures did not do this house and property justice. Amazing home, great amenities, perfect location and just the right amount of space. We had all we needed to prepare breakfast and dinner each day, walked to the beach each evening to watch the sunset (safe area), and enjoyed a few swims in the pool. We are already planning our next visit to CR and we will book this unit again (hopefully it will be available.)

The Casita Catalina is totally worth spending a few days…
The Casita Catalina is totally worth spending a few days while enjoying Uvita and its surroundings! You will find a very well equipped house kitchen in case you want to dine at home - thanks to the grill beside the pool it should an option nr. 1! The pool provides you with a possibility to cool yourself at any moment and even take some son baths. The beach is near, the surroundings are quiet and the ACs are working properly.

Modern comfortable house in local neighborhood within walking distance to the most pristine beach. Very walkable for this area. Great for a low key beach town stay. AC in bedrooms was a life saver.
Would note that you have to pay for the beach but it’s only $6/day since it’s a protected park but 100% worth it.
Only downside was that water from faucets and fridge was very murky and did not feel drinkable so would pick up some drinking water at the local BM.

Great beach get away
We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. We would surf every evening till the sun went down and sometimes picked up take out on our way home. The pool was perfect for my two kids. Scarlet macaws and fiery-billed Aracari would visit daily in the back yard. The neighbor hood was peaceful, not the party scene as in other places in town. Very family friendly. The house had most amenities but the kitchen was a bit under supplied. If you were planning on cooking a nice meal you may be frustrated with the lack of a few utensils and extremely dull knives. We utilized the restaurants close by. There were several within walking distance and several more only a 5-10 min drive away. The property manager for this unit did a decent job with communication prior to our visit. They also were very responsive to our requests. I would definitely stay here again.

Très belle maison, d'une propreté irréprochable et très bien située pour se reposer quelques jours. Tout le nécessaire est accessible à pied : restaurants, supérette, plage (payante, mais elle vaut le détour). La maison en est elle-même est vraiment très agréable, très bien équipée (il y a tout le matériel nécessaire pour cuisiner) et la piscine est juste parfaite. On espère pouvoir y retourner un jour !

This is not a party area of CR and is perfect for those seeking a quiet vacation with easy access to all kinds of nature parks and animals. Lots of birds signing every morning was a bonus for us. Lastly host Nicholas is knowledgeable friendly and efficient.

Recomendada para familias pequeñas o parejas. Los restaurantes, supermercados y bancos están a menos de 2 kilómetros y la comida muy buena y precios justos.

Our experience at Casa Loros Rojos was undoubtedly perfect. Since the house is located in a very quiet place, close to everything (beach, supermarkets, restaurants, main road, etc.) as well as easy access for any type of car. The song of the birds all day is magnificent, the pool is perfect for the place, the house is fully equipped, everything new and in excellent condition, a really pleasant stay full of comfort and tranquility Ideal to relax. I don't have a negative opinion about Casa Loros Rojos, it was just perfect.

It is centrally located in Uvita. You can walk to the beach and many eating establishments. We loved Carlitos. Awesome margaritas! Strong and delicious! Also the Le French Café. Lovely breakfasts and lunches. And I believe soon they will be opened for dinner! Check out Gusto up the mountain for sunset and great Italian food. The couple moved from near Tuscany. Home made pastas.
Now back to the accommodations. We absolutely loved the pool. It was just cool enough to cool off and warm enough to walk right in. My favourite spot to hangout. We weren’t there for vacation, my husband was working every day. It has a great outdoor space for him to work and excellent wifi

Things they need to do better. The kitchen needs a few more utensils, but in all fairness this was a brand new Airbnb and it is still getting established. We felt safe and enjoyed the privacy of this house. When you book here you will love your stay. We did!!!

We loved the house from the moment we arrived.
It is centrally located in Uvita. You can walk to the beach and many eating establishments. We loved Carlitos. Awesome margaritas! Strong and delicious! Also the Le French Café. Lovely breakfasts and lunches. And I believe soon they will be opened for dinner! Check out Gusto up the mountain for sunset and great Italian food. The couple moved from near Tuscany. Home made pastas.
