This was our 2nd stay at this property. It’s as though the home just sprang up in the middle of the jungle. It’s surrounded my lush jungle with beautiful views. My kids and I like the location, as it’s about half way between Quepos and Uvita. Our concierge with Osa Property Mgmt, Gary, was very kind and full of suggestions. We cannot wait to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Cascada Escondida house! The property was incredibly clean and well-stocked with cleaning supplies. My kids had an amazing time and were lucky enough to see toucans and iguanas right on the property. The views are gorgeous, especially in the morning when the birds wake you up with their natural music. My only suggestion is to wear insect repellent if you want to walk down the hill to see the waterfall. I don't want to exaggerate, but there were so many mosquitoes that we couldn't stay down there for more than a minute. Finally, communication with the host was excellent; they stayed in contact with us to ensure check-in and access went smoothly.

This place is magical!! It was so much better than the pictures even show. Great a/c bedroom units, comfy beds, and we felt very safe with two gates (one to the road and a second to the actual property), digital keypads, and physical locks on other doors. The private waterfall is an added bonus, and the pool/palapa/grill area were great. We cooked several times, and the kitchen was well appointed-even had a variety of spices so we didn't have to purchase any. It was immaculately clean, even with the indoor/outdoor living of the kitchen and living room. I was honestly worried about animals and insects getting inside, but that was never a problem. Our sons loved that they had their own "apartment" below the main level (but this might not be ideal for those with young children since you need to walk outside to get up to the main level). It was a great central location for all the activities we did in the area. Very highly recommended, unique place and would definitely stay again!

Our stay at Casa Cascada Escondida was absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect secluded paradise right between the touristy side of Manuel Antonio and the vibey surf town of Dominical. We seriously did not want to leave!
What we loved:
The Wildlife: The landscape is gorgeous and we got to talk to monkeys right on the property, which was an unforgettable highlight.
The House: Super comfortable and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with every tool you could need, and the master shower experience is incredible—total luxury.
The Vibes: The pool and outdoor setup are a dream.
Just a quick heads-up:
Since you’re out in nature, there was a quick power surge downstairs one night that knocked out the AC and a charger, but flipping the breaker on and off fixed it immediately, so no big deal at all! Also, just a heads-up for future guests that a gardening crew and pool guy come by to maintain the property. We would’ve loved a quick text or notice about their schedule beforehand just so we knew

What a beautiful, magical place! We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it. We were 2 couples with 3 small kids who enjoyed the pool, nearby beaches and towns, wildlife (monkeys! lizards! birds! big bugs!), and sunset swims and dinners. A couple of things to note which we didn't expect: the power does go out pretty often, which is common for the area. Only once it went out at night for 10 hours which was tough with the heat. There is only A/C in the bedrooms so the main level does get very hot during the day. As other reviews mentioned, you have use the steep-ish outside stairs to get between floors. Not a big deal, but a slight inconvenience sometimes. The road to the property does require 4x4 but was not an issue for us going in and out, we liked it! The waterfall hike is awesome but challenging with kids (steep). House is beautiful and clean with no bugs inside at all. Overall we had a fantastic, memorable stay and would love to come back again! Masse håndklær og fersk frukt ved ankomst. Barna elsket bassenget! Vi handlet på mini markedet rett nedenfor huset ved behov. Et stort og bra supermarked ved Dominical. Vi hadde en fantastisk opplevelse ved Burgerplassen i nærheten av huset (ned bakken og 2 min kjøring til høyre). Vi drømmer oss tilbake til disse magiske dagene av vår ferie! My friends and I stayed for a week and LOVED the location and the privacy and being surrounded by the lush nature! The jungle is loud and there are some bugs but it’s fine. We spent a lot of time at Playa Linda which is an amazing beach about 12 min away from house. We stopped at good coffee about 9 min up the road often. We had fun eating at the local sodas and cooking at the house. Everything was stocked as we could’ve needed including fresh fruit upon arrival. We appreciated that the house was secure with two gates getting in and effective locks on doors in windows. You will 100% need a 4x4 vehicle to get up and down the road leading to house but as long as you’re going slow, we had no issues coming and going. The value of the house was great considering all it offers, pool was the perfect size, AC worked, no bugs in house, great layout, lots of space. Would recommend visiting the local waterfalls nearby and surrounding towns Uvita and Quepos. Would love to come back!

Unfortunately, there's no other safe way to fix an A/C unit without entering the home due to the electrical nature of the repair. Peaceful jungle retreat with incredible nature. The home is private and surrounded by beautiful jungle—a bumpy 4x4 only driveway, safe but slow and steep climb common to this area. We loved relaxing in the pool, cooking fresh fish (Pescaderia Brisas Del Mar) , and listening to the sounds of nature.
The location was perfect for exploring Manuel Antonio, Quepos, Dominical, Uvita, waterfalls, and stunning beaches. We saw monkeys and birds from the house. The private waterfall is beautiful and larger than we expected, but we only hiked down to it once because of biting flies. We should have put on bug spray before the hike.
We would absolutely stay here again. One consideration for families with younger kids is that you have to go outside between upstairs and downstairs. A large toad and cicadas on the lighted outside stairs.
For couples, we highly recommend booking a sunset dinner reservation at Le Papillon Restaurante.

Très grande propriété avec jardin et vue magnifique. Les couchés de soleil sont un vrai rendez-vous. La cuisine extérieur près de la piscine un vrai plus. À noter que la climatisation est seulement disponible dans les chambres et il n'y a pas de vitre aux fenêtres donc soit la vue ( qu'on a choisi) soit une petite fraicheur qui proviens de la chambre à couché (mais a ce moment, avec les volets fermés, c'est très sombre). Malgré cela nous avons passé un très beau séjour. Nous recommandons.

Nos gustó muchísimo la casa, es tal y como se describe, espaciosa y con todo lo necesario para una estadía familiar. El camino sí necesita un 4x4 como se detalla en la descripción y la seguridad fue bastante buena.
Tuvimos un apagón de luz durante la primera noche y no pudimos disfrutar de esa primera noche como hubiésemos querido de la piscina y demás, pero entendemos que es un tema fuera del control de los anfitriones.
Recomiendo la casa al 100%, queda cerca de varias playas muy bonitas e igualmente con la piscina y las vistas hacen que estar en el alojamiento ya por sí solo valga la pena la experiencia.

La maison et la propriété sont extraordinaires ! Très bien aménagées et très bien entretenues. Nous avons vu les singes. We absolutely loved this property! A perfect home to celebrate our honeymoon! My husband enjoyed the drive up and down the rocky road to get to the house and we thought of it as a fun adventure! We left the house daily and had no problem getting in and out. The views were amazing, we woke up to Tucan’s and Macaw’s outside the balcony area. 10/10 stay, vacation and home! Would definitely book again!

This property captures the true essence and beauty of Costa Rica. Its secluded in the jungle surrounded by wildlife, beautiful views and sounds of the rainforest. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A few things that stood out, the veiw from the balcony, the pool was clean, the upper shower was amazing and the beds were super comfortable. If I had to pick a few negatives, the couch wasn't super comfortable, dont walk down to the hidden waterfall in the rain (its a tough hike especially when slippery) and be careful of the steps, they are slippery when wet. All in all this place was perfect for our family and we had an amazing stay. Our favorite home of the 3 we've experienced in Costa Rica. We would definitely love to come back and stay here again! Absolutely Perfect – So Good We Came Back Within Two Months!
This home in Costa Rica is pure paradise. We loved it so much on our first visit in February that we came back just two months later—this time with our whole family! The house is beautiful, immaculately kept, and surrounded by lush nature and breathtaking views. Every detail is thoughtfully done—from the comfortable beds to the fully equipped kitchen, the relaxing outdoor spaces, and the waterfall on the property just topped it all off.
The location is ideal—close enough to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and private. We spent mornings drinking coffee while listening to the birds and evenings watching the sunset by the pool. Our hosts made sure every part of our stay was seamless.
We are already dreaming about our next trip back. Highly, highly recommend!

It was a phenomenal place. Absolutely gorgeous and even better than the pics look wise. But as a nature person myself it can be very very scary. It’s stunning but at night it can be scary. Pitch black Costa Rican jungle sounds great but with a total blackout for a night, it showed us how real the jungle is. So if you truly love nature and everything in it this is a dream. Also the waterfall is worth it. It almost made me cry of the beauty.

The views, pool and land is amazing. We had problems with the open rooms to the outside and parts of the screens are missing allowing mosquitoes into the house. Especially the upstairs bathroom. We have so many bites. You cannot open the wood window shutters without bugs coming into the house, and it's too hot with no air coming through the house. We ended up in the bottom rooms because they're enclosed. I would suggest having a TV down stairs. Cobwebs and dead bugs on the floor, i ended up getting the broom and sweeping the floors.

We loved our stay at this Savegre jungle property surrounded by monkeys, birds, lizards, spiders, butterflies etc. We spent hours on end nature-watching from the balcony & by the pool.. Just be aware that some of the animals may want to "pay a visit' to your kitchen so do ensure you keep all the shutters closed even if you're just by the pool (we had a very friendly white-nosed coati that "broke into" the kitchen multiple times after our bananas and pizzas).
The private waterfall was such a treat and the property was well located for Dominical & Playa Linda, with fantastic views & complete privacy.

This was the perfect place for our very first Costa Rica adventure! The house and the property are beautiful and very well maintained, the views are amazing. It is absolutely secluded and private but still only a short distance to restaurants and beach. You can even hear the sounds of the ocean. The perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The hike to the waterfall feels like a private nature reserve.
The setup of the house is perfect for a family with older children or teenagers because the lower part is seperated from the upper part by outdoor stairs. My boys loved that they had their own space downstairs. We saw different butterflies and birds, frogs, lizards and even a coati. In the morning and evening you can hear the howler monkeys.
We felt really well taken care of by Osa Property Management, they always offered help if we need it and were very quick to respond. Upon arrival they guided us to the house, which was superhelpful because we arrived after dark. We loved it!

This home is in a stunning setting. The only noise I heard was the big trucks way down the hill, but it was very seldom. This is truly a magical place. The road up to the house is rough and steep. The living area furniture could have been more comfortable, but we spent most of our time outside. My only negatives were no pool light or lights on stairwell to the pool. If you have kids who want to swim at night, you cant. Black dark.
No broom handy. Each night we had visitors who would leave poop on the terrace, not to mention all the bugs. I had no way to sweep our floors.
The screen in the main bathroom was torn. Easy access for any sized critter. 😋
I would book it again tomorrow! Do yourself a favor and book this home. You will never want to leave!!!

Hola Jamie! We are sorry you didn't have a 5-star stay. In terms of a swimming pool light - there is a light and in the Guidebook it shows you exactly where the switch is located. That is also true for lighting on the stairs down to the pool - they are seen on Photos 7, 18, 20, 29, 30 (photo 30 they are easily seen), 33, Next time please reach out to the full-time Concierge Team if you have troubles finding the light switches at anytime. Same with the broom - we would have dropped one off for you - no problem. We are going to investigate the screen - sorry about that!
