This place was amazing! Beautiful house, beautiful location, and totally private. The driveway was a little intimidating, but definitely passable with 4-wheel-drive. Also, as noted in the listing, only the bedrooms have AC, but I think that’s to be expected in Costa Rica, and there were lots of doors and windows in the rest of the house to get good airflow/breeze. Really hope to go back here sometime!

Absolutely beautiful 360 degree views! The most awesome views of any listing I’ve seen in Manuel Antonio – literally breathtaking. The home is well designed and the kitchen is fully-stocked and organized.
The home is mostly glass so it is very hot in the main spaces, which are without AC. There are AC units in the sleeping rooms.
After driving up to the listing, I highly recommend having a 6 or 8 cylinder 4×4 as the road up to the home requires a vehicle with a powerful engine as well as traction.
Communication was challenging and not due to a language barrier. There are many co-hosts in this property management company and we received many different Google coordinate links to our meeting point with the concierge which was frustrating after a 5 hour drive. Our concierge is wonderful.
Although our stay was curtailed behind a few issues, we did enjoy our time here. The views alone are worth “price of the ticket.”

This property was simply amazing. It sits at the top of the mountain with views of the ocean in one direction on the horizon, and the rainforest in the other direction. The house is almost all windows so you have a beautiful view whether you’re inside or out. The breeze that goes through during the day is delightful and very cooling. The pool is awesome as it wraps around the house. The property has two hikes; one hike takes you down the hill to a stream at the bottom where you can walk and swim in the pools. The other hike takes you down where you can view monkeys and birds which is also a wonderful hike. Property is close enough to Quepos that you can go in during the day go to the beach or National Park, have dinner and be home again to view the beautiful nights skies. We will definitely be returning yearly to enjoy this beautiful spot.

Stunning home and view
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this estate. The home and view are stunning. Maggy and the home’s caretaker are super responsive and quickly managed any issues that arose. It’s a bit out of the way but that was one of the things we loved about the home. It was peaceful and just so beautiful. We were comfortable staying there and would highly recommend this home for anyone visiting the area.
Fourth time visiting Costa Rica
This was our fourth time visiting Costa Rica. None of our previous Airbnb rentals has been more relaxing and isolated from neighbors than Eden Estate. We prefer to relax and unwind on our vacations and just sit and enjoy nature. We arrived after dark due to some unexpected traffic delays, but when we awoke the next morning there were amazing views from every direction. We soon became accustomed to the schedule of the many different birds and a couple of iguanas visiting daily.
The house itself was exactly as described and we immediately felt at home. We truly enjoyed the places to sit/recline on all of the balconies and the deck to enjoy the 360 degree views. Just amazing! I prefer to cook at home, and the kitchen had every type of gadget/appliance you could ever need.
Maggy was a great host and answered all of the questions I had in the week prior to our arrival. Her directions to the house were very clear and specific. Kenny was also very helpful when we had questions.
House with an amazing view over the valley.
We had a lovely stay. The house had an amazing view over the valley and we saw a lot of birds. Maggy communicated very well. She even tried to help us book another car after our car was towed away because of a puncture (Avis didn’t give us a spare wheel in the car that wasn’t the one that we had booked in the first place. They had given ours away even though we had booked it months before we arrived. They towed the car away and left us stranded without any form of transport. After three days we were taken to the town where we stayed before coming to Maggy’s house to rent another car from Alamo. Apparently Avis isn’t well known in Costa Rica and doesn’t have backup solutions). Maggy tried her best to give us helpful suggestions to still be able to drive to her house and use our booking. Thank you for everything.
An unforgettable stay with breathtaking views and incredible wildlife
This was truly a stunning experience from start to finish. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with mountains, rainforest, mist rolling through the trees, and sunsets that felt unreal. The bird watching was amazing, and the wildlife around the property made the stay feel so special. One of the highlights was watching monkeys cross through in the morning, which was such a cool and memorable moment.
We also went deep sea fishing, which added another incredible adventure to the trip. Between the peaceful scenery, the wildlife, the pool, the ocean views, and the overall setting, this place felt like a once-in-a-lifetime escape. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for beauty, adventure, and a true nature-filled getaway.
Surrounded by unimaginable beauty!!
The photos do not do it justice at all. There is 360° view from inside the house. It’s full of floor to ceiling Windows. We sat a top the canopy, and we’re surrounded by rainforest on all sides. The view of the ocean and sunsets was spectacular. Squirrel monkeys, iguanas, toucans, frogs, butterflies, and hummingbirds… the list keeps going. And without neighbors. Close by. It is beautiful and quiet. The amenities were great. Highly recommended.!
Incredible views from all sides.
מקום מדהים. אנחנו מחפשים שקט בדידות ונופים. קיבלנו מענה נפלא, אחד הטובים שקיבלנו. נופים מטורפים מכל כיוון, שקט, נופים וציפורים. הטוקאנים מזמרים, המון ציפורים כל הזמן, בריכה גדולה וקרירה, ושקט. הדרך מאתגרת אבל הגענו עם ג'יפ חזק 4x4 וכדאי מאד לבוא עם רכב כזה. המזגנים בחדרי השינה חשובים מאד כי אכן חם, ובקומה הראשונה היינו צריכים להיכנס לבריכה מדי פעם כדי להתקרר או לעלות לקומה השניה עם המזגנים. הם עבדו נהדר. מטבח מאובזר ומפנק. מקום נהדר להתנתק מהיום יום ולהתחבר לשמים. בשביל להגיע הכי טוב לרשום במפות גוגל Eden estate ומגיעים בקלות.
Highly recommend
My family of 5 stayed here for Spring Break 2025 for 6 nights, and it was incredible!
Maggy was super responsive, and Kenny the caretaker was amazing—he booked two tours for us and helped with anything we needed.
The house is peaceful, private, and absolutely beautiful—set high in the hills with mango trees, hiking trails, and stunning views. The pool was perfect after a beach day or hike. We saw toucans and birds on property but missed the monkeys.
The bedrooms have AC, which kept us cool at night. Downstairs can get warm, but fans and airflow instructions helped. One morning during our stay the master bedroom AC broke but Maggy got us fans and it was fixed by the next day.
You’ll definitely need a 4x4 to get up to the house. Try to arrive during daylight—we were delayed and arrived after dark, which made it tricky. But we contacted Kenny and he came by motorbike to guide us the rest of the way!
It’s about 30–40 minutes to Manuel Antonio. Highly recommend. Pura Vida

We really enjoyed this upscale place. Close enough to Quepos so that it was not inconvenient to fish an dine out! Excellent birds all around the home. This was a dream.
Perfect Spot!
This place was exactly what we needed; incredibly calming from the moment we arrived. The bird watching is fantastic; we spent hours just taking it all in. The pool is the perfect size, and the house stays at a comfortable temperature naturally, though it’s nice having AC as a backup just in case. Highly recommend!
Spectacular views in a unique location
We spent three nights at Maggy's place in early February. If you are planning to visit, put Eden Estate in google maps, works great.

This was a big one for us - there is no air conditioning on the main floor - only in the three bedrooms upstairs. We hadn't understood this from the listing.
The house was uncomfortably hot and humid downstairs most of the time, even with all of the doors open. There wasn't much breeze during our visit and we ran all of the fans we could. Also, none of the rooms in the house have any curtains available to block out the sun, so especially in the afternoon, the sun would blaze in the many windows and heat up the entire lower level.
As other reviews have mentioned, the drive up to the house is rather crazy, steep and bumpy. 4 wheel drive is needed.
Surrounded by nature with views of both the jungle and the ocean.
We had an amazing stay at Maggie's place! Her property is amazing. The pictures really cannot do the views justice. While her place is a bit of a drive from Quepos and Manuel Antonio (~30 min), and it does require a 4x4 to make it up the last 1 KM, it is totally worth it! Situated on top of a hill (with a security gate), you feel totally private and secure, surrounded by nature with views of both the jungle and the ocean. The pool is an awesome feature as well. Particularly if you like birds and wildlife, we cannot recommend Maggie's place enough. We even had the property manager Kenny, swing by and bring us down to a squirrel monkey crossing right on the property. It was magical.
Absolutely gorgeous
This place is absolutely gorgeous, with the most breathtaking views of Costa Rica! It was very clean comfortable and our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We Seriously loved every part of it. The road is STEEP so don’t take the need for 4 wheel drive lightly. High clearance would be beneficial as well. Beautiful home in a beautiful country. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, private, peaceful,
It is just beautiful, private, peaceful, with spectacular views. My only recommendation is to rent a Bronco or similar 4x4 suv/truck for the drive up the mountain! Maggy and Kenny was very helpful and responsive!

Stunning place
Maggy's place was absolutely stunning, the view is amazing from every room in the house including all the bedrooms. The house was extremely well equipped with pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices, paper towel, Ziploc bags, towels and whatever else you might need to stay comfortably. This was super helpful to us when we realized we forgot a couple of small items.
Maggy as a host was wonderful, we had a friend that was traveling separately to meet us at the house and Maggy sent extremely detailed and clear instructions for my friend.
Kenny, the caretaker was kind and helpful as well, we were very grateful for his help with everything.
One note for future guests, like the instructions say - you really should make sure that you have a 4x4 car or at least a good SUV. We had one but our friend came in a sedan and they couldn't make it up the hill. Thankfully Kenny was able to bring her up.
Stunning place and would definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a beautiful getaway.

5 stars is not enough. this property is a jewel. you cannot come to costa rica and not visit maggy's villa. the property manager is very helpful and everything is perfect. 100% recommended.
The most peaceful and beautiful places
The pictures do not do this place justice. It was one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have ever been. Very private and serene. The infinity pool was amazing. We could vacation specifically at Eden without ever leaving. Maggy and Kenny were very responsive and helpful. I hope we can come back some day!
Exceptional tropical rain forest with its own spring fed waterfall
Even just writing this review takes me back to the warm and fuzzy experience of Maggy's place. The experience of being apart of an old growth tropical rain forest with its own spring fed waterfall is exceptional. The house is dramatically set atop of a hill that shows you the Pacific ocean out of the front rooms and pool, and the lush verdant hills of the rain forest behind. Modern kitchen and amenities, and creature comforts. The Rainmaker nature conserve is minutes away, as well as famous seaside resorts such as Quepos and Jaco. We went to deserted black sand beaches, boat rides in the mangrove forests to see sloths, monkeys and all sorts of shorebirds. The evenings were all spent in the lovely modern house retreating to watch those glorious sunsets over the ocean (the windows where floor to ceiling. An unexpected and exceptional tropical oasis - don't stay in a hotel room when you can have this experience of a lifetime.
Impressionnante!
La villa de Maggy est impressionnante! Comme certains l'ont mentionné, les photos ne rendent pas justice à la beauté des lieux, tant de la maison que du paysage. Nous avons passé un séjour de 6 nuits très agréable grâce aux installations disponibles (cuisine bien équipée, télé fonctionnelle, piscine creusée à bord perdue, air climatisé dans les chambres) et que dire de la vue exceptionnelle (vue à 360 degrés autour de nous, vue tant sur la jungle que sur la mer). Nous avons pu y apercevoir des toucans (à même le patio...), plusieurs oiseaux, des rainettes (même celle emblématique du Costa Rica), etc. Oui, certains geckos se faufillaient à l'intérieur sur les murs, mais ça donnait un charme tropical à l'endroit et les enfants ont adoré les chercher. On en a pas vu dans les chambres non plus. En effet, un 4X4 est essentiel pour monter. L'entrée de la cour est difficile à trouver la première fois. Kenny nous a été très utile pour y amener et très serviable durant notre séjour.
Vistas espectaculares
La casa es maravillosa, es bastante amplia, y cuenta con todos los servicios, se encuentra a 15 minutos de Quepos, es indispensable rentar un 4x4 para acceder a la casa ya que se ubica en una montaña que tiene vistas a espectaculares, sin duda regresaría. Kenny fue especialmente amable y en todo momento estuvo atento a nuestras necesidades, gracias Kenny. También recomiendo que vayan a Rainmaker que está muy cerca de la casa, es maravilloso 🙌🏼

I can’t say enough about my experience here. We arrived in the dark and had some troubles finding the place, gps issue, bout Kenny saved us and led us on the journey to this incredible home. We were blown away with how amazing the house was when we arrived at night and quickly settled in to enjoy the view on the porch by the pool.
When we woke up at 530 am and took a look outside, we felt like we were in paradise. The pictures do the views no justice at all and with windows surrounding the entire home, there’s nothing to be missed. There are no houses in the area, just you, nature and all the amazing experiences you can make.
We did not mind the 30 min drive at all to Quepos and wouldn’t have traded this house for anything else. Thank you so much Maggy for offering an amazing property. We will be back.

Maggy’s villa is absolutely beautiful! The view was spectacular and pictures don’t even do it justice. It was spacious, had all cooking utensils that you could possibly need, super clean and with the air conditioning in the rooms, the temperature was comfortable. I will say the only thing to be mindful of is that there is a water stream design on the ground in front of the front door/living room area and as a result there’s a gap of space from the outdoors to the indoors which does allow bugs, frogs and lizards to easily get inside— however, you’re in the middle of the rainforest so definitely expect to see them at some point! It wasn’t that big of a deal and didn’t take away from the beauty and luxury of the home, but just keep that in mind. I loved my stay in Maggy’s villa and definitely recommend it.

Beautiful house perched on top of a mountain. Great trail on property. Open house concept so definitely some geckos and wildlife in the house, but that adds to the experience. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was nice. There’s also a few yoga mats and a couple 8lb dumbbells to workout with. The pool was refreshing and there are plenty of towels to use. It was so nice having a grill and washer and dryer available also.

Wow great secluded /private/adult/couples getaway. All amenities, spotless. Kenny, property manager was there in an instance if there were questions, or slight repairs to minor items. Unbelievable views of mountains & ocean in distance. Beds/linen were clean & upgraded, with walk outs onto private balconies. 20 minute drive to towns for essentials/groceries. The only minor item was I would not attempt the hill after dark. Great job & place Maggy. Hope you do well & we would definetly return. Grant & Lyn
