Response: Thank you so much, Lutz, for the awesome 5-star review! I’ve traveled all over the world, across nearly every continent, and stayed in Airbnbs everywhere. This is easily one of the top three Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. I absolutely loved this place. It’s incredibly peaceful, private, and secluded, yet the view is spectacular—you honestly feel like you can reach out and touch the ocean. I’ve rarely stayed anywhere that offers this much privacy. The property is equipped with absolutely everything you could need. Laundry detergent, cooking oil, kitchen supplies—they truly thought of everything. It was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had, and I genuinely can’t wait to return. Do not hesitate to book this place. It is a true hidden gem—and I mean literally hidden! 😂 Pay close attention to the directions they send you. I actually had ChatGPT simplify them for my simple brain, haha. Once you find it the first time, it’s super easy. Absolutely amazing place. Highly recommended! Response: Adam, thank you so much for this incredible review and 5-star rating! We’re thrilled to hear that Villa Esquinita 1 in Dominical ranks among the top Airbnb stays you’ve experienced around the world.

Response: Thank you so much, Mathieu, for this absolutely wonderful 5-star review! Stunning Airbnb at a very reasonable price. The view is absolutely amazing, and the property feels incredibly private and peaceful. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated having amenities that aren’t common in many Airbnbs, such as a blender. One thing I’d mention is that we had a little trouble finding the property, but that was largely on us since we arrived after dark. I’d simply recommend arriving during daylight if possible. Once you do, the directions are clear. The surroundings are wonderfully quiet. You can hear the ocean while relaxing by the pool, which has subtle lighting in the evening and creates a really relaxing atmosphere. If I had to suggest any improvements, it would be adding a second nightstand and perhaps a screen to help keep bugs out. That said, these are very minor suggestions and absolutely not reasons to deduct a star. Overall, this is genuinely one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend! Response: Thank you so much, Hendrik, for this incredibly thoughtful 5-star review! We're so thrilled to hear that Esquinitas delivered on every front — the stunning views, the privacy, the peaceful surroundings, the well-equipped kitchen, and that magical evening atmosphere by the pool with the sound of the ocean in the background is truly what makes this property so special. We love that even the blender stood out as a welcome touch! Your practical advice about arriving during daylight is also great guidance for future guests and we appreciate you sharing it so graciously. We also genuinely appreciate your constructive suggestions about the second nightstand and a screen — those are the kinds of thoughtful details that help us continuously improve the experience for every guest and we will be looking into both. Your private note about our communication means the world to our team as well! Being called genuinely one of the best Airbnbs you've ever stayed in is the highest compliment we could receive. Thank you for choosing Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas — we'd love to welcome you back, whether it's to Esquinitas again or to any of our 70+ properties across Costa Rica!

great stay with a nice plunge pool. 5 min drive from some of the touristy areas, so close enough to drive into town, but far away enough not to be loud. as others have said, the drive way is steep so a 4 week drive car is needed and there's a number of stairs from the car to the rental. great stay! Response: Thank you very much for your great review and for taking the time to write it. We’re so glad you had an enjoyable stay at Villa Esquinita 1 and appreciated the setting and comfort of the home. We also appreciate you sharing helpful notes for future guests. We’d love to welcome you back again. Pura vida! Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas

Response: Thank you very much for your review and for taking the time to write it. We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting, the natural surroundings, and the home’s amenities during your stay at Villa Esquinita 1. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the bed frame, as it helps us continue improving the guest experience. We’d love to welcome you back again. Pura vida! This casita above Playa Dominical is a great place to stay. It is a very central location to visit lots of local sites such as Manual Antonio, the Whale’s Tail in Uvita, Playa Ventanas, and Nauyaca Waterfalls (one of our favorite activities during our trip). The apartment itself has great amenities. The private pool, washer/dryer, and very effective AC made this little oasis overlooking the ocean a perfect getaway. You definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to get up to it, but it is only minutes away from a grocery store, bakery, and many restaurants. Highly recommend the Patacones and Basil Pineapple Margarita at Tortilla Flats right on the beach in Dominical. We were very happy with the space and the attentiveness of the host. Thanks!! 😎 Response: Thank you very much, Rick & Paul, for your wonderful review and for taking the time to write it. We’re so glad you enjoyed the home, the location, and all the comforts that helped make your stay such a great one. We truly appreciate your kind words and recommendation, and we’d love to welcome you back again. Pura vida! Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas

Pictures are accurate. Great view over Pacific. Quick access to Dominical for supplies and dining. Access from main highway is a 3-minute drive on somewhat steep and partially unpaved road. Very doable, especially with 4-wheel drive. We had a few question during our 10-night stay and the management company was easy to reach and responded quickly. We would absolutely stay there again. Response: Thank you for the review! It was an absolute pleasure to Host you and we look forward to the opportunity again, for any future Costa Rica travel you may have. Keep in touch! Pura Vida! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the beautiful views, the pool, and that Esquinitas was fully equipped and stocked with all the essentials — providing those little touches like tropical fruits, coffee, and kitchen staples is something we truly love doing to make guests feel at home from the start. We also appreciate you flagging the 4x4 requirement and the steps leading to the property; it's always helpful for future guests to arrive well prepared. Thank you for choosing Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas — we'd love to welcome you back to Dominical anytime!

Spectacular for a romantic getaway! The view is as impressive as in the photos, having a private pool to watch the Costa Rican sunset was such an amazing experience. The place has everything you need, even a washer/dryer! Really private and brand new. The property management was very helpful and always responsive. I’d say this is for adults only and keep in mind driving to and from the property is steep and with narrow streets (but so is everything in the area). Would 100% recommend and stay here again, should we visit Dominical. Thank you! Response: Thank you very much, Martina, for your wonderful review and for taking the time to write it. We’re so glad the home was such a special setting for your romantic getaway and that you enjoyed the views, the privacy, and the support from our team throughout your stay. We truly appreciate your recommendation and your helpful note for future guests, and we’d love to welcome you back again. Pura vida! Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas

Response: Thank you so much, Alexandre, for the wonderful 5-star review! We're so glad Esquinitas met your expectations and that the location in the heart of Dominical's incredible fauna and flora made for such a special experience. Those little welcoming touches — the fresh fruit and having the air conditioning ready upon arrival — are details we love taking care of to ensure every guest feels at home from the very first moment. Thank you for choosing Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas — we'd love to welcome you back to Dominical anytime!

Response: Thank you so much, Johanne, for the lovely 5-star review! A peaceful home with an amazing view!

Les hôtes sont très à lecoute

The place was very nice! We had a great time relaxing and enjoyed the area.

If you’re looking for peaceful, private, and beautiful, this is the place for you. The property is amazing, the pool is amazing, everything is amazing! It is the perfect size and great location. Checking out was so sad, we could have stayed forever! Worth every penny.

A place we will definitely return to. From the very first moment we arrived, we were thrilled to discover a beautiful sunset view — something we honestly didn’t expect, as the map didn’t suggest it at all. A lovely surprise! Another big plus was the location: just a short walk away there’s an excellent bakery with great treats, as well as a convenient supermarket nearby. The accommodation itself is exactly what we had hoped for — stunning views, a terrace with a small pool, a comfortable bedroom, and a well-equipped kitchen. We also really appreciated having both a washing machine and a dryer, which made our stay even more comfortable. Everything felt easy, relaxed, and thoughtfully designed. We will definitely be coming back

My wife and I were very happy with our stay. The view is breathtaking, and exactly what we wanted on our vacation. Getting to the property from the airport is long and arduous, and the steep incline to/from the condo to the parking lot is really tiring, so pack light. However, once you get to the home and take in the view, you'll see it was worth it. I highly recommend this home.

Un entorno delicioso y privado. Nos encantó!!! Response: We're glad you enjoyed your time here. We're sorry you did not have a 5-star stay. We would welcome you back to this property or to any of the other ~70 that we manage anytime however. Keep in touch. Pura Vida! Osa Property Management

Everything was perfect! The complimentary fruit that was privided on my arrival was amazing! The view and sound of the ocean was incredible! I cant wait to stay again!

We had a great stay! Beautiful views and sounds of the ocean! Host was very responsive and helpful!

Loved my stay here and will be staying again. I felt very safe with the two entrance gates and with other houses nearby. The host was super responsive, particularly after I reported a longer standing power outage (different than the normal shorter ones that can happen). My favorite part was the concierge we were connected to automatically with our way. SO helpful and friendly and gave us great last minute ideas to do around the area. If you book this place, be aware there are two units. You are not directly connected to them so there is no noise, but be sure to double check your unit number to make sure you try to get into the correct one 🤣 I made that mistake. The first unit (the upper one) has a slightly different view than the 2nd (lower) one, but still absolutely gorgeous. There was a very small water leak during rain on of of the nights from the ceiling in the bedroom, but it did not impact anything and the host said it would be addressed asap. Otherwise everything was great!

The villa was great,bountiful

We couldn’t recommend the place more. Beautiful ocean views, nature, a well-kept and equipped property, wonderful pool, great bed, secure neighborhood yet close enough to restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Close to the beach. We had a wonderful time!

Good spot, defiantly need 4x4 car as suggested. Good view of ocean and shower has good hot water.

The place was exactly representative of the pictures shown. It was really clean and cosy. Response: Thank you for the review and I'm sorry you didn't have a 5-star experience. However, we believe it was because you demanded a free night's stay, the day before your scheduled arrival, due to a travel issue (no travel insurance purchased) and you requested a late check-out, which wasn't possible due to an arriving Guest (otherwise we would have had no problems providing you with a late check out). Pura Vida!

Secure gated community. Property was breathtaking, state of the art. Amazing views, pool was awesome to cool down in. Town was 5 minutes away.

Fantastic stay. We loved it.

The place exceeded our expectations and is even more beautiful than on the photos! The views from the terrace and pool are stunning - we enjoyed the scenery especially for sunrise and sunset and every minute inbetween :). Very comfy bed and super clean apartment. Highly recommend!

Amazing place!! Very realistic photos, private, save, beautiful views, sunset , monkeys, birds, peace and near of beaches, supermarkets and restaurants! In this are will be my first option! Very good communication and actually they help us to get a very good tour in the area! Thanks for all!!!

The privacy and plunge pool were highlights of our stay, creating the perfect atmosphere for a couple to relax and reconnect. We were delighted to see local wildlife, including monkeys and beautiful birds, while the constant, mesmerizing sound of the waves provided a wonderful backdrop.

The road up the Airbnb is very steep so you will definitely need a 4 by 4 vehicle. If this is your first time in Costa Rica, do your research on Dominical beach. The Airbnb itself was beautiful. It matched the pictures and the view had me speechless. The amenities were great as this airbnb had washer/dryer. Overall, I recommend this place! Pura Vida!

Beautiful view!!!

The place feels luxurious, beautiful apartment with all amenities - and the view is imcomparable! Easy and helpful communication with the host. We want to go back as soon as possible! Response: We would love to Host you again Julia! Please keep us in mind for any future Costa Rica travel you may be planning. Pura Vida! Osa Property Management

Decent place nice view Response: We're sorry you didn't have a 5-star experience or enjoy the privacy or the amazing views as previous Guests have. Our stay in Uvita was overall enjoyable, with a really comfortable bed and beautiful views that made it worth the climb up and down the 86 steps. While some areas could use a little maintenance, like the shower and toilet, the hosts were quick to respond and very helpful. Plus, having a private pool and a washer and dryer in the unit was a huge bonus! Response: We're sorry you did not have a 5-star experience but appreciate the feedback. We fixed your toilet issue while you were there and will look into the shower as you didn't mention that previously. Pura Vida Osa Property Management

obviously if steps are hard for you, don’t book but other than that it was absolutely fantastic. i received communication from the property managers extremely fast and had no problem with anything. beautiful view and amazing home. a fantastic stay! the view waking up to the ocean in the morning is second to none and just stunning views all around. we thoroughly enjoyed staying here! just enough space for what we needed after a long day exploring beaches and waterfalls in the area. Atemberaubende Unterkunft. The view from the private villa is breathtaking. The clean freshwater pool makes it all even more beautiful. Overall, a truly wonderful experience; I highly recommend the stay. If you rent a car, make sure you get a four-wheel drive. The first drive was a bit daunting, but after that I got used to it.

Amazing ocean view and infinity pool

This place was so beautiful and peaceful and the description was on point! The staff member who helped us out throughout our stay was so pleasant and very responsive whenever we had any questions or concerns. We will absolutely be back again for an even longer stay because the view was just too breathtaking! Thank you again, Osa Property!!

Beautiful place, responsive and helpful host, enjoyed being here and part of nature Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review Rebecca. I'm sorry you didn't have a 5-star experience and based on your review it is difficult to learn what we could do better. We wish you safe travels in the future. Pura Vida ! Osa Property Management

I'll start with the positive: It does look like the pictures, pool is lovely, the kitchen is well stocked. We loved the iguanas and the lightening at night. The most comfortable chairs are on the patio. Laundry detergent is provided. The negative: - A lot of up selling was going on from the time I booked. First I was told I needed to be verified by a third party, I declined. I was later told this was for trip insurance I didn't want but received many texts about. - I asked about arriving early by an hour and was offered check in fee of $35+ declined and was told I could check in. - The safe in the room was locked. We asked for it to be unlocked and that was never resolved. - The fouton was both dirty and very uncomfortable to watch the TV from. No bedside lamps. - You're asked to hang towels on leaving but there are no real hooks or hangers for large towels. No place to hang clothing. - Check out is 11, at 9:45 we were asked when we were leaving, cleaners arrived at 10:50. Response: Hola Leslie! We're sorry you didn't have a 5-star experience. It is obvious you did not read the House Rules for the property in Airbnb - we would recommend you always do that as the optional damage waiver is clearly disclosed and explained. In terms of early check-in: That is pretty common in the industry. The Fouton and hooks - we are sorry about that and will look at fixing that. We wish you safe travels in the future! Pura Vida! Recomendada!!!

Beautiful views, and a comfortable and very clean space! I think the description and the other reviews are quite accurate… The place is nice and the ocean views made for relaxing mornings sipping coffee and amenities all worked as expected. The stairs from where you park to the apartment were ok for us since we are in good shape (and left the apartment in the morning and returned before dinner) but I can see how they can be a problem for others with more movement difficulty. That said, this is well disclosed by the hosts. The drive from the main road can probably be made with 2WD, but 4WD is advised. I do think this apartment is worth the value though, and the host was very responsive and attentive. Thanks!

Views, views, views. 6 out of 5 stars. Response: Thank you so much Muhammad! We love your score for the property! It was a pleasure to Host you and we'd love to Host you again. Please keep in touch! Pura Vida | Osa Property Management | Costa Rica Las Villas

perfect stay, and the view is amazing!

The views were amazing in this Villa, it was spotless, well equipped and had all the amenities we needed. The communication with the host was excellent. The complex is very secured (gated) and easy to find.

The property is incredibly stunning; tucked away on a hillside with a gorgeous ocean view and a quick 5 minute drive away from Dominical, we were able to have privacy and contemplation but were still able to conveniently access all tourist locations we were interested in. We immensely enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

15/10! Vraiment! Merci !

Absolutely loved this property. recommend a 4x4 to get up the hill, but easy drive. Super close to town and the beach, lots of wildlife roaming. Pool was great to cool off and the home had everything I needed to relax. There are bugs etc but what do you expect? Lizards love to hang on the patio with you, and they can get in the house easily, but always scurried out. Had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again. Great sunset views from the patio, feels very private. 10/10

Favorite place I have ever stayed while traveling. The view was breathtaking and exceeded expectations. Waking up to seeing the sunrise and laying in the pool watching the sunset was worth every penny. Only a few minutes drive to downtown Dominical. I had read the reviews before booking so I expected the amount of steps to climb and the steep drive to the stay, however, it was worth it. Response: Thank you Aryahnna. It was a pleasure to Host you! Please keep in touch as we'd love to Host you again. Pura vida! Osa Property Management

Had the cutest little home and pool to relax at. Very close to a surf beach. The house was very clean and had cool screens to enjoy the fresh cool air of an evening.

We had a wonderful stay in Dominical for new year, the view and location was absolutely incredible! It’s exactly as pictured and we loved spending time in the pool whale and dolphin spotting (which we did!) The property wasn’t as practical as we would have liked and could do with a few home touches, notably: - a bedside table - lamps for the bedroom - somewhere to hang towels - comfier sofa and living area (as we wanted to spend time at the property each day and due to location it’s not easy to get around Dominical unless you drive) Highly recommend otherwise!

We had a little issue finding the property, but that was due to not having great phone service and being able to load email. The property was just as described! The location is beautiful the stairs really aren’t as bad as you would think. We had a two wheel drive Bronco and had no issue getting up to the property. We would love to come back and stay again!

100% recomendado

Beautiful location, close to restaurants and shops. A little tricky to find, you will definitely need 4 wheel drive to navigate this area. The views are amazing, we saw parrots, a toucan, and iguanas in our backyard. Full kitchen was perfect, coffee machine, microwave, and stove top came in handy. Tons of utensils and pots and pans were available. Washer and dryer worked great.

This Airbnb was beautiful and just as the pictures showed! The hill to get up and through the neighborhood was a bit of a surprise, but our 4x2 car was able to handle it. The home was beautiful, the pool was clean and nice to relax in! There was wildlife, a beautiful sunset and easy access to nearby Dominical, which was such a cute little beach town.

Great spot! Be ready to take the stairs up and down, if you are fit it be no problem. Saw some awesome wildlife from the comfort of the pool. Beautiful and very clean location with great AC unit that cooled the place down quickly. Also super responsive and communicative!

Sumamente agradecidos. 🤎

Such a beautiful and relaxing airbnb with amazing views!

Excellent place to stay!

Response: Hola Moritz, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time at this amazing property. In terms of 'Small Print' it is in the Airbnb House Rules - be sure to read the rules of any rental listed on Airbnb you rent - that's a good policy for you to follow. Not once during your stay did you make a complaint so it is disappointing you waited until after you checked out to complain. Hopefully, other Hosts will notice that habit as it is unfortunate that we never had an opportunity to address the noise complaint you had with a nearby property. Regardless, we wish you the best in your future travels. Pura vida!

Response: Hola Alejandra! We're sorry you only left a 4-star review and felt we were not available more at check-in/check-out. We are available anytime from 8 am - 9 pm local time, and if you arrive after that it can take a bit of time to communicate with you. However, as many previous Guests have noted, the photo-instructions are easy to follow and we rarely have a Guest that has problems with them. We will definitely review our processes to ensure future Guests have an even smoother experience. Thanks for the feedback. We really appreciate it! Hopefully we see you again at one of our other 50 Costa Rica vacation rentals in the near future. Pura vida!

This place was beautiful to stay at for the week. The views are amazing, and you are able to have the luxury feel while being surrounded by nature. We would absolutely stay here again!

This is a beautiful property in Dominical, only about 1 mile from the free Dominical beach/city center. It is an hour drive to manuel antonio and Sierpe. The host provides a whole manuel of where to eat, shopping, gas places etc to make you feel well prepared. The view is amazing and fun to watch wildlife. It is an extremely steep drive and steep stairs to the property, but doable. Only thing we could complain about was that the wifi only worked 1 day out of our three day stay. Response: Katelyn we are pleased you enjoyed your time at the property. We are also very sorry for the internet service and are addressing it immediately. We appreciate your patience. Please contact us for your future travel to Costa Rica and we will be sure to give you a nice discount on your next stay with us (in addition to the Repeat Renter discount we offer to all of our returning Guests who book directly with us). We hope to see you soon! Pura vida!

Beautiful view, and the property manager treated us very well. We had lots of questions, and they helped us greatly! Lots of steps to get to the location, so we got our exercise.

We loved staying here! It was just a couple minute drive into Dominical, but it felt very out-of-the-way. We hung out in the pool for several hours each afternoon just reading our books and watching the ocean, so lovely! The drive up to the gate is extremely steep, so make sure you have a car that can handle it.

The views for this property are breathtaking… so worth it. The location in Dominical is perfect !!! The inside is clean and has everything you need for a nice stay. The private pool makes for a perfect place to relax when not exploring. One of our best international stays!! Pura Vida !

My wife absolutely loved this place. It was hands down her favorite place we stayed in Costa Rica. It is super clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen and laundry amenities were so appreciated. The pool is very nice and the view is SPECTACULAR. It's very private. It definitely gives you that you're in your own private tropical paradise vibe while still being close to the town and restaurants. We were fine with the stairs but I think it would be challenging for someone with any sort of mobility impairment. Otherwise would highly HIGHLY recommend.

Very beautiful location that feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. Great experience staying at this location.

I can’t recommend this place enough. The views were even better than I thought they would be. It was absolutely stunning. The host thought about all the necessities including a cooler and beach chairs. The host was responsive to any needs or questions. We would love to come back. GORGEOUS place!

Pura Vida!

tolle, moderne Unterkunft. Super ausgestattet, hervorragende Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber.

Exceeded expectations

Great location right above dominical beach. Takes less than a minute drive to reach the town and maybe two minutes to reach the actual beach. Pool was definitely a highlight of the property.

Was a really lovely spot, incredible view! and property managers were very responsive. Would highly recommend this sweet place.

This is a magical stay, the view is stunning and worth the while. The private pool was perfect for our mid-day retreat. There are plenty of steps to and from the car but we did not mind. The room was comfortable and clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to make a quick breakfast every morning. We hope to return here one day.

What a spectacular place! So clean, so peaceful. Waking up to the 180 degree view of the ocean and then relaxing on the front porch each morning watching the toucans and other birds was so special. 4x4 is a good idea to get up the steep hill. Close to dominical and other sites. We had a great time and would choose this location on our next visit.

Breathtaking views, clean. Communicates in a well and timely manner.

Merci !! 🙂

This rental presents a mixed bag of good and bad. First the good: you get a million dollar view (really spectacular), mornings here are very pleasant, the unit is new and the design style is nice, coordination with the property manager is easy and helpful. The bad: in the afternoon this unit is essentially a greenhouse/sauna... the sun is blinding and it heats the unit through the large windows with no shades (even with AC trying its best), and heats up the all-concrete deck and other concrete design features (which all hold heat). I had a series of other issues: the WiFi speed was VERY slow (0.49 Mbps), and one of the AC units kept failing... I am guesses these kinks will be worked out (the unit seems very new). As the description details - access here is a very steep road, and the stairs down to the unit are indeed a lot!

¡Esperamos volver pronto!
