Beautiful and private home. Love the ability to hike down to the waterfall. Road is rough getting up that mountain to the house and having a 4×4 is definitely needed. Hosts were quick to respond with any needs. Try to arrive during the day as it’s overwhelming at night trying to locate the home in the dark as CR doesn’t use specific addresses. This house is open, feels beautiful and connected to nature.

The house was perfection. What a gorgeous setting. The layout was perfect for us, two couples. We had plenty of privacy and enjoyed each others company in the living room, kitchen and back deck. The pool was lovely and there were three separate seating areas outside. We loved it!

We stayed at this house for a full month the beginning of 2026. The house itself is even better than the pictures. Full wow factor when we arrived. Beautiful grounds, amazing house, clean and very well equipped for everything we needed.
Kitchen - had everything we needed and then some to prepare great dinners. I love to cook and this place is fully equipped to make great meals and enjoy inside or outside. BBQ was spotless and ready to go if outside grilling is your thing. We bought freshly caught fish just down the street and made some great dinners!
Laundry - Fully equipped laundry room with additional cleaning supplies if you need anything
Bedrooms - beds were so comfortable! And yes I am picky. Gorgeous big windows that overlook the jungle in the back. Great linens and towels. Best sleeps ever.
Outside - so many ways to enjoy the nature that surrounds the house. Sit by the pool and enjoy the day in shade or sun. We had our morning coffee every day on the platform overlooking the little river and waterfall. Monkeys went through most mornings and evenings. Many birds and butterflies! So much wild life.
The Property management Team - couldn’t have been more helpful. Fast response to any question or challenges we had. They helped us coordinate car rentals, airport transportation, cleaning during the month, fixed the ice maker, grocery delivery before our arrival - and yes dealt with a scorpion issue. Check your shoes before putting them on! You are in Costa Rica.
Mobility - my 85 year old dad was part of our crew. This house is all one level. Was perfect for someone with some mobility challenges. Easy step out to the back pool and patio and platform area. The sunken living room does have steps down but we didn’t really use it - we were outside or in the kitchen area most of the time.
Amazing restaurants in the area. You are about a 3 minute drive from a great beach.

Wonderful house and location. Bring binoculars, wake-up early, and bird watch pool side. We saw Macaws, Parrots, Toucans, Hummingbirds and many more. Howler monkeys are constantly reminding you that they are near. Lounge in the pool on the grounds or take a very short hike and lounge in the pool at the bottom of the cascade. The house layout is perfect for family or friends. The restaurants in the small village a few minutes away are all really good, and you’re close to several great beaches (Ventanas at low tide was our favorite). Easy to find and management was very responsive.

What an amazing home and experience. From the moment the gate opens one is blown away by the architectural beauty that fits into paradise so easily. Unbelievably tranquil and a paradise all to our own. The Howler monkeys, Scarlett McCaws, Toucans, flowers in bloom, a water fall, swinging chairs, the pool just WOW. The house was lovely and extremely comfortable for the four of us. The primary bedroom and bathroom are at one end of the house and the two bedrooms with shared bath are at the other end allowing for a maximum of privacy. The grounds and pool were wonderful. The pool was kept clean our entire stay. The grounds are lush and private. Management was extremely responsive. It was a pleasure to stay here. We hope to visit this property again!

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits von Ojochal mitten in der Natur, jedoch ist das Dorf sowie auch Uvita gut erreichbar. Man hört und sieht den Fluss - Tiere haben wir aber leider nicht gross gesehen. Das Airbnb ist gut ausgestattet und sehr grossräumig. Wir waren zu zweit und hatten daher die ganze Wohnung für uns. Der Pool liegt vor allem nachmittags im Schatten und ist daher eine Erfrischung. Ausserdem hat die Wohnung einen Concierge-Service, der uns unterstützt hat bei Fragen.
Einen Abzug machen wir, weil wir gerne vor der Buchung gewusst hätten, dass die Wohnung zu Sicherheitszwecken akustisch überwacht wird. Zudem gibt es im Wohnbereich keine Klimaanlage, wodurch es eher warm werden kann.

This house was better then advertised in every way. We were greeted by howler Monkeys our very first morning and the waterfall in the back yard was amazing. Sitting on the back patio at night sounded like an actual soothing sound machine. The hosts and management team was top notch and responded very quickly and thoroughly. I highly recommend staying at this property.

A home in paradise! The constant hum of the waterfall, birds and surrounding nature made us feel we were truly in the rainforest. We spent loads of time outdoors in the yard, including the lovely pool, and the value of staying at this home in the shoulder season was 100% worth it. The home itself is well appointed and clean. We did have a broken A/C unit in one of the bedrooms, which we understood takes time to fix in a more rural area such as this. We also had the water shut off for several hours one day. Despite these hiccups, we would still recommend this home to others looking for an authentic jungle stay in a less touristy area. We had a fabulous time and would love to return.

this property was stunning for a big it is perfect too. It was only my husband and I so we only used half the house. there was a lot of rain while we were there so we didn't get to use the pool, but please please understand this pool and backyard are AMAZING. I loved that i could hear the waterfall while showering. We loved that waterfall. the one amazing thing about all the rain, was how hard it made the waterfall fall you could hear it through the whole house ! love the sit in living room 😍 all the cookware you need to make your next meal. wonderful washer and dryer. the house is very welcoming. they even left us an amazing welcoming gift of fruits and coffee and flowers. P.S. dont forget to sign there guest book. I loved reading the stories in there!

The location was very easy to locate and the host made the experience effortless. The host had a website with answers for everything before I had the question. Monkeys woke us up day three. 🥰I will definitely rebook. We traveled in the “off season” (September) I definitely recommend. Weather was perfect, sunshine one minute, heavy rain the next. The private shuttle & taxi was amazing. I was going to rent a car but to be driven around allowed me to soak it all in. Next time I will definitely get a rental to explore further. 4wheel drive. Every review was super helpful when booking. The host assisted with EVERY THING. I had a list of things we wanted to do & she made it happen.

Es war ein ganz wunderschöner Aufenthalt in diesem einmalig schönen und atemberaubendem Haus! Es fehlt wirklich an nichts: Tolle Betten, schöner Pool und die Küche ist professionell ausgestattet.
Das Haus liegt in einer schönen bergischen Landschaft inmitten des Dschungels, 5 Autominuten bis zum nächsten Supermarkt, zum sehr schönen Strand Ventana ca 15 min , empfehlenswert ist ein SUV, da die Schotterauffahrt zum Haus ziemlich steil ist.
Wir haben uns in dem Haus und in dieser Gegend sehr sicher gefühlt.
Das Osa Team ist sehr reaktionsschnell, professionell und dazu auch noch besonders freundlich. Unser Wunsch nach Weingläser wurde am gleichen Tag erfüllt.
Wir empfehlen das Haus und das Team zu 200% und hoffen eines Tages wieder kommen zu können.

We saw so many animals and wildlife at this property. Howler monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, agoutis, tons of big birds, tarantulas, scorpions, frogs, geckos, anoles, basilisks, blue morphos, the list goes on and on. The area had incredible restaurants and was very family friendly. Every restaurant we went to had a kid area where our two year old felt right at home. Management was always responsive! Try Tagua Cafe for great coffee and breakfast, less than 3 minutes from the house.
There was a white and orange cat that we fed during our time and our daughter named him Marshmallow. Say hi to him for us! 🙂

This is an amazing property. The house was beautiful and clean upon arrival. Communication was great. The hosts truly thought of everything to make this a comfortable stay, with amenities, board games and many local recommendations. They set up surf lessons, a whale watching trip and recommended some great local restaurants. Ojochal is a great area with plenty to do. I highly recommend staying here.

This is a BEAUTIFUL home. The waterfall alone is worth booking this home.
I do have several things I will share so others are aware. All minor issues, of course!!
If you want to cook rather than go out, you will need to bring a fan! The stove and oven are gas, which produce a LOT of heat. There is no ceiling fan or a/c in the kitchen. Even with doors open, it was stifling by the time we were done, with even small meals.
The bathroom in the hallway has the same issue. No fan or any way to circulate air. Even with a slightly warm (not hot) shower it was horribly hot.
The gate and gate code box were not “talking” to each other during our stay, so we ended up having to push the gate open/shut anytime we left and arrived home.
I will say there is quite a bit of road noise. With construction ongoing up the road, there was a constant flow of large trucks and loud motorcycles. I think this is really the only negative.
Other than the minor things, our stay was perfect!

This home is beyond beautiful. We saw so much wildlife and enjoyed all the physical features of the property greatly.

We have stayed at a lot of rentals over the years and pictures don’t always tell the story. But they sure did on this occasion. This home is amazing in and out. The home is about five minutes up the hill from the little town center of Ojochal where there are several top notch restaurants, pub, cafe and groceries.
The gated home is in the jungle but still offers a good amount of sun and shade.
The pavilion with hanging egg chairs overlooking the river and waterfall was one of our favorites in the morning and afternoon. There is a maintained path down to the river and waterfall where we were able to sit in a natural pool just below the falls. There is also a “yoga” deck overlooking the river and jungle which we sat each morning for coffee. The entire back yard space and pool is Very private.
We saw toucans everyday and had two different types of monkeys come by 4 of our 7 days. We saw several tree frogs, agouti and other critters which the kids loved checking out.
The home is well maintained and has spa like aromas, which was awesome.
The house has higher end appointments than the average rental especially in the kitchen.
It reminded us more of an owners actual home who was away and let us use it rather than a typical “rental.” The house is extremely clean and airy. There are more than a dozen sliding glass doors throughout. After the first night we switched from using the AC to keeping the sliders and windows open. The sound of the waterfall knocked us out.
OSA management was also excellent. We had a few questions and they responded without delay.

We stayed 5 nights here as part of our first trip to Costa Rica (after 2 nights in La Fortuna). Communication with the host was excellent—they gave great referrals for local tours and even a couples massage at the home. Arrival was smooth even at 10pm, though 4WD is recommended. The house is in quiet, peaceful Ojochal, close to Uvita. We loved the setting—great for relaxing and enjoying nature. The home itself is beautiful: a great layout, well-equipped kitchen, nice pool, and amazing views of a nearby waterfall. AC is only in bedrooms, but main area is cool with screen doors and fans. Conversation pit doesn’t make for the best lounging/watching tv setup. The master has a king bed (a bit soft for us but we slept well). Note: you will hear and see nature—expect some bugs indoors. Pool may get debris but is cleaned regularly. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher were all very handy. Highly recommend this property—it truly enhanced our Costa Rica experience.

Vi havde et super dejligt ophold i denne vidunderlige bolig, som er endnu smukkere end billederne kan vise.
Flot indrettet hus, skøn terrasse og smukke udenomsarealer - man fornemmer virkelig at være midt i naturen, og haven er meget privat og ugeneret, med flotte træer og planter samt floden med vandfaldet lige i baghaven.
Vi nød at være omgivet af dyreliv, og så både en masse kolibrier, sommerfugle, tukaner, papegøjer, brøleaber mv. direkte fra haven af.
Alt i alt havde vi et fantastisk ophold med vores 3 børn, og kan kun anbefale stedet til andre som ønsker et sted de kan være sig selv og slappe af i et lækkert hus i smukke omgivelser, som har stort set alle faciliteter tilgængelige inkl. nogle gode brætspil for hele familien.
Vi anbefaler stranden Playa Colonia, som er gratis, og ligger lige udenfor Uvita - vi var der i starten af maj og var heldige at have stranden for os selv flere morgener i træk! Wauw!

Flot indrettet hus, skøn terrasse og smukke udenomsarealer - man fornemmer virkelig at være midt i naturen, og haven er meget privat og ugeneret, med flotte træer og planter samt floden med vandfaldet lige i baghaven.
Vi nød at være omgivet af dyreliv, og så både en masse kolibrier, sommerfugle, tukaner, papegøjer, brøleaber mv. direkte fra haven af.
Alt i alt havde vi et fantastisk ophold med vores 3 børn, og kan kun anbefale stedet til andre som ønsker et sted de kan være sig selv og slappe af i et lækkert hus i smukke omgivelser, som har stort set alle faciliteter tilgængelige inkl. nogle gode brætspil for hele familien.
Vi anbefaler stranden Playa Colonia, som er gratis, og ligger lige udenfor Uvita - vi var der i starten af maj og var heldige at have stranden for os selv flere morgener i træk! Wauw!

Beautifully appointed, totally private home with great indoor/outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Close to the restaurants and markets of Ojochal. Setup was perfect for two couples traveling together - each wing of the home had its own air-conditioned bedroom/bathroom for space and privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate on the covered patio for all meals so we could enjoy the birdsong and sounds of the waterfall in the backyard. We even spotted howler monkeys and toucans in the trees. The host was responsive to our questions and made a great recommendation for an in-home massage service. The home is located on the main road through town and occasionally, the road noise disrupted our outside time. The only thing missing was a working ice-maker and a note about using the entry gate remote. Overall — it was terrific stay and we would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Ojochal.

Die Villa liegt etwas höher gelegen, direkt neben einem kleinen Wasserfall. Das Haus, der Pool und der Garten sind sauber und ordentlich gepflegt. In der Küche sind alle denkbaren Utensilien vorhanden und auch fürs BBQ ist gesorgt. Es war wunderbar morgens auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken und den Kolibris zuzusehen. Ab und zu waren auch Brüllaffen zu hören und Tukane und Schmetterlinge flogen vorbei. Tatsächlich ist diese Terrasse zu meinem 2. Lieblingsplatz auf Airbnb geworden.
Mit dem Auto fährt man ca 20 min nach Uvita, wo es den besten Bäcker in der Umgebung und weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt. In Ojochal selbst können wir das Restaurant Citrus sehr empfehlen.
Der Check-in und die Kommunikation liefen hervorragend ab.
Insgesamt ein tolles Haus in einer sehr schönen, touristisch nicht so überlaufenden Gegend.

This was one of the most beautiful homes we’ve ever stayed in! The house was stunning and impeccably clean, very comfortable and secure. We loved going in the pool every day we were there and sitting out by the river drinking coffee in the morning. The neighborhood is also very cute; we went down and explored the shops and restaurants a few times and they were all great. Would recommend this house for anyone visiting the Ojochal area!!!

Nothing short of incredible! We have stayed in countless airbnbs and Vista Cascada is truly a notch above the rest. Exceptionally clean, private and peaceful with great restaurants and activities nearby. Osa Property were extremely responsive and proactive. If you are thinking of booking - do it!

Our family’s stay at Vista Cascada was truly exceptional. This property is absolutely stunning inside and out. The house’s modern and elevated design integrates the feel of Costa Rica and is so well executed. The extensive floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors bring the outdoors in. The house is nestled in the jungle, up on the mountain, and feels incredibly peaceful and private. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying the gorgeous yard and pool, and watching (and hearing!) the howler monkeys was such a cool experience. The photos in the listing do not capture the magic of this place. The home was as functional as it was inviting and was equipped with everything we needed. This was our first time visiting Ojochal and we fell in love with this charming community, which had a few restaurants and proximity to attractions and creature comforts, but was removed enough to not be touristy. This is one of my all time favorite Airbnbs and I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

The house in Ojochal was amazing and our experience with Osa Property was great. It was the nicest rental home we have ever stayed at over several vacations in Costa Rica.  I cannot say enough about the ideal layout of the house, and the beautiful backyard overlooking the creek and waterfall. Our stay was extremely relaxing and enjoyable! Also, Playa Piñuela is the place to go if you want a beautiful quiet beach.

Absolutely stunning home with elegant and luxurious design. You will love the sunrise on the patio and a dip in the pool in the afternoon. All the decor and furnishings in the house are carefully thought out. Osa property management helped us with several things throughout our stay. Restaurants are right down the road and you will not find a more gorgeous property to enjoy. private and spacious. Absolutely love the sunken den and gorgeous shower. The pool is beautiful. You can walk down to the river to view the private waterfall. Yoga deck overlooks the waterfall.
