La ubicación del lugar es hermososimo, vale totalmente la pena ir y recomendaría el espacio a cualquier persona, sin embargo aclararia un par de cosas. 1.las fotos dan la impresión de que el lugar es de una planta y muy amplio esto no es así, los cuartos sala comedor y cocina están en un segundo piso (y el espacio de nuevo es bellisimo!) pero para llegar a la piscina hay que bajar gradas. el espacio de la piscina es hermosisimo pero sigue bajo construcción esa área visualmente no fue agradable. Finalmente la puerta del balcon que da a la sala y comedor amanecía inundada y causo un par de accidentes.
Igual con todo esto claro recomendaría el espacio 100%

Setting of the house is marvellous, in the middle of the jungle. Saw howler monkeys while sitting in the pool. Interior is a bit run down, but the general atmosphere and good communication with host make up for it! Enjoyed our stay!

Zuerst das Positive, der Pool und die Lage waren sehr schön.
Die Wohnung hat Potenzial, ist den Preis aber definitiv nicht wert.
Vor unserer Ankunft wurde so viel Insektenspray gesprüht, dass wir die Wohnung nicht betreten konnten und 2 Stunden lüften mussten und anschließend alle Toten Tiere aufsammeln durften. Im Bad ist schwarzer Schimmel an der Decke, bei Ankunft hatten wir genau eine Gabel zur Verfügung und die Kommunikation ist eher schwierig zu bewerten.. Morgens kam jemand um den Pool zu säubern, darüber wurden wir vorher nicht informiert, plötzlich stand jemand am Pool. Alle Fliegengitter hatten Löcher.
Der Aufenthalt war okay aber den Preis einfach nicht wert.

Beautiful property right in the jungle! This comes with some bugs we weren’t used to but you quickly adapt and is to be expected 😉 Having the pool was great to cool off. Very secluded. We had hot water the whole time and no issues. The dryer broke and the team fixed it within a few hours for us! The drive up for sure needs a good 4x4 as they suggest, it’s bumpy! Such a beautiful stay. We would stay again if we return.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour de deux nuits dans la villa, la maison est située sur les hauteurs de uvita dans un coin de jungle, absolument splendide
Un dépaysement total, on y entend les singes hurleurs le matin et nous avons même eu la visite de deux Toucans
Le logement est bien équipé, la Laverie est un vrai plus surtout en fin de séjour
Je mettrai juste un point négatif sur l’aspect « baby friendly » si je voulais avoir un lit bébé, on me demandait 50 $ de plus, je trouve cela dommage

We had a great time here. The house is located in the forest, you need 4x4 to reach it but totally worth the ride. It feels private, surrounded by trees, birds, monkeys and other animals. The house was well-cleaned when we arrived, we enjoyed the pool on the ground floor. The communication with the host was excellent, they responded promptly. There was a 6 hours electricity and water cut during our 6 days stay, also wifi was not working for more than 24 hours. Nothing crazy but be prepared it can happen. The host did everything to fix this with utility companies. We would highly recommend this place and hope to come back one day.

Ein schönes kleines Haus, etwas ausserhalb gefühlt mitten im Urwald!
Ein Highlight war für uns der blitzsaubere Pool, gross genug, um ein paar Züge zu schwimmen und angenehm für eine leichte Abkühlung!
Die Strasse ist wirklich nur für Allradfahrzeuge, aber auch nach einem recht starken Regen gut befahrbar.

La casa tiene una ubicación muy conveniente, cerca del centro de Uvita. La comunicación y respuesta de la persona anfitriona fue excelente. El lugar es tranquilo y tiene una vista muy bonita a un bosque que es visitado por monos y pájaros. La casa no es muy amplia y el equipamiento de la cocina es elemental/pobre. La relación precio-calidad no es buena. La decoración muy básica, la piscina es totalmente independiente de la casa (no está integrada) y se comunica por unas gradas externas. En la zona de la piscina no hay baño ni un lugar para tomar agua, tampoco una mesa que permita consumir alimentos o bebidas.

We experienced multiple maintenance and cleanliness issues upon arrival, which were reported immediately. While the property management team was responsive, many issues persisted throughout the stay, resulting in repeated disruptions. Kitchen appliances were difficult to use, plumbing issues occurred in multiple bathrooms, and overall cleanliness fell below expectations. Power and water outages occurred multiple times, including a prolonged outage during our only full day at the home, which ultimately forced us to leave. Due to the ongoing interruptions, we declined further service visits.

Meine Frau und ich hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in der Villa. Der Unterkunft und der Pool waren sauber. Der Pool hatte eine sehr angenehme Temperatur. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche und sehr hochwertige Einrichtung. Das absolute Highlight ist die Lage, die Aussicht und die Tierwelt in der direkten Umgebung. Wir haben verschiedene Affenarten, Nasenbären, Aras, Toucans, Agoutis gesehen und wurden von Brüllaffen an einem Morgen direkt im Baum neben uns geweckt - wirklich magisch. Wir haben die Unterkunft so sehr genossen, dass wir gar nicht mehr viel in Uivta unternommen haben, denn durch die Lage fühlt man sich wie im Nationalpark.
Für den Weg ist zu 100% ein 4x4 notwendig. Aber der Weg ist absolut machbar.

I went here for my 30th birthday with three other friends and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The house was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning enjoying coffee watching the wildlife. We saw macaws, monkeys, and many more critters. Check in and check out was extremely easy and the host was great at communication. Ten out of ten stay and we would love to come back some day!

Overall the place is a good place to crash. Loved the green surroundings. Had some cleanliness issues when we got there, but they came and took care of them very quickly. Management company is really responsive. My major concern with this listing is the water. Power in Costa Rica can go out - it comes with having lots of greenery and power lines. The problem is the water is run off a pump - no power, no water. That's a problem when the power is not always available. Gravity fed systems in other places I've stayed solve this problem. I can live without the lights, but it's a little harder to accommodate not having water. Otherwise enjoyed the place. If the power would have stayed on, I wouldn't even have noticed! Saw wildlife and enjoyed the area a lot.

We took a holiday of two weeks to run away from stress, the house and location were exactly what we need . Reclusive, in the middle of the jungle with a very relaxing pool and still close to the town and the beeches, but an 4×4 vehicle is requiered.We were visited by monkeys,copaibas and white nose coati's, a lot of birds it felt like having a our personal nature park.The house and pool are just like in the pictures. And the personal from Osa help us with everything we need it..from suggestions and links for reserving excursions, to things that we need it. They were very prompt answering to our requests. For us was like a home away from home. We will always be happy to return to Casita Honu Iki. Thank you for an unforgetable holyday. Pura vida!!!!

Superbe maison . Un havre de paix et une vue magnifique sur la jungle. On y a vu des toucans, des coatis, des agoutis…
Environnement calme et paisible, on y entend les sons de la nature.
L’omniprésence des vitres est un vrai plus.
La maison était hyper propre.
Attention toutefois à ne pas négliger l’arrivée au Air bnb : la route est une piste rocailleuse avec une très forte pente, avec des virages importants. N’envisagez pas d’y arriver de nuit et 4x4 obligatoire bien sûr, mais malgré ça, la route est difficile.
Mais on l’oublie vite une fois sur la terrasse 😉.

Honu Iki Casita ofrece una experiencia auténtica de conexión con la naturaleza. La propiedad es luminosa, ventilada y cómoda, ideal para descansar y desconectarse. La piscina tiene una vista preciosa, y dormir con los sonidos del bosque fue un verdadero privilegio. Durante la estancia vimos y escuchamos monos, además de guatusas y muchas aves. La ubicación es estratégica, cercana a playas y parques nacionales (Marino Ballena y Manuel Antonio entre otros), con excelente oferta gastronómica, y permite escaparse de compras a Golfito o Paso Canoas con solo 2 h de manejo. Además, el entorno transmite paz y armonía, ideal para quienes buscan una pausa del ruido citadino. El equipo anfitrión fue atento y profesional en todo momento, con comunicación clara, seguimiento oportuno y actitud proactiva. Como anfitrión, valoro profundamente ese nivel de dedicación. El detalle de bienvenida con frutas frescas fue un gesto sencillo pero muy apreciado. Volvería sin dudarlo. ¡Pura vida!

The home is very remote and directions were not completely accurate. I’d recommend arriving in daylight to avoid losing your way. Better landmarks would have been helpful as the ones identified in the guide were never located. The home is stunning, surrounded by nature with monkies and birds galore. The pool is also wonderful. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in nature.

We could only stay 1 night. There was an issue with the water pump that could not be fixed because of the Easter holiday. They refunded our stay without issue.

Our stay was spectacular. Everything was extremely clean, and as described in the listing and photos. The host was easy to get in contact with and communicated at our arrival late at night. The place is difficult to find in the dark, and would recommend a day time check in. Photos were provided for directions, however we still had difficulty due to time of day. My only suggestion for directions would be to indicate that there is a wooden property directly infront and this listing is to the left once through the gate.
Our only complaint was the hot water tank was broken on arrival, and there was a leak upon inspecting. It was fixed day 2, however someone needed to come the next day and replace the whole tank. Between it being replaced, the hot water was inconsistent and would not last for a 5 minute shower. Someone came and replaced it, however 2 of 3 nights was without consistent hot water.
Overall, we were extremely happy and would stay at this property again.

Our stay at the Honu Iki Casita was nothing short of perfection! Nestled in the lush jungle hills of Uvita, this stunning home provided the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience—just minutes from town and breathtaking beaches.
The house itself is beautifully designed with an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows, and gorgeous jungle views that made us feel truly immersed in nature while enjoying all the modern comforts of home. The Owner’s Suite was a dream with its vaulted ceilings, en-suite bathroom, and access to a private patio.
A huge highlight was the private swimming pool, a new addition that made our stay even more special.
One of the most thoughtful touches was the fresh fruit and the beautiful flower left on the table upon our arrival—it was such a warm and welcoming gesture that made us feel right at home.
We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Beautiful stay! Would definitely recommend. We had a great time and the host was very responsive and helpful leading up to our stay and during. Would echo other reviews for the need for a 4x4 car but we got the hang of it easily. Uvita is beautiful and this was the perfect stay. We used the pool and found the place exactly like the photos. Can’t speak highly enough about the experience! Had absolutely no issues during our stay. We saw 2 different types of monkeys and toucans from the balcony and enjoyed watching the nature around us. Would book with them again!

El lugar es muy bonito y tranquilo. Esta alejado de las carreteras principales y en medio del bosque por lo que es genial para relajarse. En unos cuantos minutos se llega a la calle principal y se tiene fácil acceso a restaurantes y comercios. Lo único importante es que si se necesita vehículo 4x4.

Dès notre arrivée, une personne nous a accompagnés jusqu’au logement et nous a fourni des explications claires. L’hôte s’est montré extrêmement réactif et attentionné tout au long du séjour.
Le véritable point fort de ce lieu est son cadre idyllique : un environnement calme et apaisant et des équipements parfaits pour une déconnexion totale. La piscine et le balcon offrent une vue magnifique sur la nature 💚

This was a great place for a get away. The house is beautiful, private in the middle of nature. I definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Uvita. just make sure you got a 4x4. it's necessary, there is a very long and steep hill to get to the Airbnb

Gorgeous villa nestled in the jungle with close proximity to Uvita. Property clean, well equipped and good communication with management company. Need 4x4 or high clearance vehicle to access.

The property is really secluded and as has been said by others, you MUST have a 4x4 vehicle - not AWD and the property manager had us meet at her at the office and she lead us to the property. The cleaning lady was leaving as we were arriving and both the manager and cleaning lady were very sweet and helpful. It's right in the center of the rainforest with floor to ceiling windows. We were visited by every single giant sized insect that existed, but they didn't actually bother us. We could hear the howler monkeys, but never saw them as much as we wished we had. The house has a lot of stairs to enter, but well worth it. The house was a great size, was as beautiful as the pictures and was well stocked with everything we would need. I would highly recommend getting everything you might want to cook or snack on before going to the house because it's quite the adventure to get to.

We've stayed at a lot of VRBO residences and this might have been the best of them all. It's legit that you're truly immersed in the middle of the rainforest - secluded and so peaceful.
Just be sure to pay attention to the need for a 4x4 vehicle. That's very legit. But if you have one, you'll be fine.

This was a great home with wildlife everywhere. Huge walls of glass overlooking the jungle and a great outdoor space to hear and see some animals/birds. About 5 minutes from Uvita and some restaurants, coffee shops. Definitely need a 4x4 but the drive is simple. Another great experience with Osa Property Management

There are not enough words to describe how amazing this place was! We spent two nights here and wished we could have spent a whole month at Honu Iki Casita! The property was beautiful and super clean. It had air conditioning units in every room so we could easily regulate the room temperatures. Both bathrooms have large walk-in stone showers and plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean and fresh. We loved how they thought of every little thing we might need. We took a trip to the beach and they had beach towels and mats, which we didn't think to pack.
There is a recommendation/requirement that a vehicle with 4-wheel drive is needed and we absolutely agree with that requirement! We appreciated that we met at the OSA Property office and then followed someone to the property as we would probably have gotten lost trying to find it on our own. Great location that we are looking forward to coming back to someday!

Perfect house in jungle, Highly Recommend!
Best parts of the house:
Jungle adventure driving to and from the property.
The full wall of windows and porch gives spectacular views of the trees.
Morning wake up calls from the howler monkeys.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The setting is beautiful, we watched a three toed sloth meander around for a few days and couldn’t keep up with the number of beautiful birds that we saw. The water for showers can be a bit tricky from time to time but overall this place is secluded and perfect for a nice getaway.

Beautiful hose for sure. Response from host was bad. We didn’t get much help getting there. ( I only have WiFi so have to stop a lot and the didn’t always answer. Also the TV was in French and everyday for 3 days they said they would send someone to fix it. They never did. Power went out for 6 hours in the middle of the night leaving us in pitch black darkness with no WiFi or light. Washing a load of laundry too 2 hours during which time you cannot use the water anywhere else. The $$ is for the view…. That’s all.

I'm sorry you felt you didn't receive much help. We sent you check-in instructions several weeks before your arrival. On the day of your scheduled check-in we sent you 5 messages between the hours of 9:32 am and 6:05 pm without any answer.
We weren't notified of the issue with the TV - that's simple setting change.
In terms of not having WiFi when the power is out in the region - again, we are sorry, but WiFi needs electricity and the entire region was without power at that time.
Perhaps you would prefer one of our other 40+ properties we manage. We're sorry you did not enjoy this one.

Maison conforme aux photos. Isolé dans la fôret, ce qui nous a permis d'entendre les singes hurleurs dans la nuit et même de les voir le matin depuis la terrasse.
4x4 indispensable pour accéder au logement. Nous avons été accompagné par quelqu'un de l'agence.
Seul bémol, bruit des cigales extrêmement fort du levé du jour au coucher du soleil. Difficile de rester dehors. Peut être est ce seulement pendant une periode de l'année..

Excellent 30th Birthday Trip
I went here for my 30th birthday with three other friends and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The house was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning enjoying coffee watching the wildlife. We saw macaws, monkeys, and many more critters. Check in and check out was extremely easy and the host was great at communication. Ten out of ten stay and we would love to come back some day!
