The designation of a wetland as of international importance is given due to its biological richness and because it functions as a refuge for a significant number of seasonal migratory waterfowl. This category emerged protected within the framework of the Ramsar Convention, the city of Iran where the Convention was held in February 1971. This Wetland was declared a Protected Site in 1995 by the International Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, which underlines its international significance .
