What a beautiful, magical place! We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it. We were 2 couples with 3 small kids who enjoyed the pool, nearby beaches and towns, wildlife (monkeys! lizards! birds! big bugs!), and sunset swims and dinners. A couple of things to note which we didn’t expect: the power does go out pretty often, which is common for the area. Only once it went out at night for 10 hours which was tough with the heat. There is only A/C in the bedrooms so the main level does get very hot during the day. As other reviews mentioned, you have use the steep-ish outside stairs to get between floors. Not a big deal, but a slight inconvenience sometimes. The road to the property does require 4×4 but was not an issue for us going in and out, we liked it! The waterfall hike is awesome but challenging with kids (steep). House is beautiful and clean with no bugs inside at all. Overall we had a fantastic, memorable stay and would love to come back again! Thank you for everything!

Vi bodde i dette huset den siste uken av vårt 3 ukers opphold i Costa Rica. Det var den perfekte plassen å slappe helt av på før hjemreise. Huset var vakkert og utsikten enestående! Masse håndklær og fersk frukt ved ankomst. Barna elsket bassenget! Vi handlet på mini markedet rett nedenfor huset ved behov. Et stort og bra supermarked ved Dominical. Vi hadde en fantastisk opplevelse ved Burgerplassen i nærheten av huset (ned bakken og 2 min kjøring til høyre). Vi drømmer oss tilbake til disse magiske dagene av vår ferie! Merk at man må gå ut av hoveddøren og ned en trapp for to av soverommene. Takk for oss!

My friends and I stayed for a week and LOVED the location and the privacy and being surrounded by the lush nature! The jungle is loud and there are some bugs but it’s fine. We spent a lot of time at Playa Linda which is an amazing beach about 12 min away from house. We stopped at good coffee about 9 min up the road often. We had fun eating at the local sodas and cooking at the house. Everything was stocked as we could’ve needed including fresh fruit upon arrival. We appreciated that the house was secure with two gates getting in and effective locks on doors in windows. You will 100% need a 4×4 vehicle to get up and down the road leading to house but as long as you’re going slow, we had no issues coming and going. The value of the house was great considering all it offers, pool was the perfect size, AC worked, no bugs in house, great layout, lots of space. Would recommend visiting the local waterfalls nearby and surrounding towns Uvita and Quepos. Would love to come back!

Unfortunately, there’s no other safe way to fix an A/C unit without entering the home due to the electrical nature of the repair. Peaceful jungle retreat with incredible nature. The home is private and surrounded by beautiful jungle—a bumpy 4x4 only driveway, safe but slow and steep climb common to this area. We loved relaxing in the pool, cooking fresh fish (Pescaderia Brisas Del Mar) , and listening to the sounds of nature.
The location was perfect for exploring Manuel Antonio, Quepos, Dominical, Uvita, waterfalls, and stunning beaches. We saw monkeys and birds from the house. The private waterfall is beautiful and larger than we expected, but we only hiked down to it once because of biting flies. We should have put on bug spray before the hike.
We would absolutely stay here again. One consideration for families with younger kids is that you have to go outside between upstairs and downstairs. A large toad and cicadas on the lighted outside stairs.
For couples, we highly recommend booking a sunset dinner reservation at Le Papillon Restaurante.
