Gary was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. We had a couple of problems with the house: at one point, the power went out, at another point the water went out, and then the fountain over the pool went out. But the thing that bothered me, the most was the three texts and the 11:30 PM phone call that I got regarding the level of noise in our house. We were two elder ladies, and we weren’t making any noise and they told us this was a glitch in the system.. the bathroom door was hard to open and close because it came off the track, otherwise it was a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it highly to other people

Beautiful home. Great pool. Good value.
But there are management issues as all communications with the host are through a management company that is unfamiliar with the home. On day one we were missing a key to the secondary door to the back of the house and it was a game of telephone to figure out what was wrong. To be fair, the next day maintenance was sent out in the morning and switched out the keys, but we had to go day 1 without a main door opening.
The first night we also alerted the host about the advertised pool water jets, fountain, and circulation features not working. The next day we were told they were on a timer but they were not. The next day maintenance was sent to us and told us they would need to go back to the office to get the key. They never returned.
Overall, it is a luxurious property with good amenities and you get nice fruits when checking in. Just be aware this is a management company host and you may have to make peace with certain smaller frustrations.

Wir waren für drei Nächte in der Unterkunft und haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, insbesondere zum Kochen war alles da was wir brauchten.
Uns hat besonders der Pool und die Terrasse gefallen. In der Wohnung wurde es sehr warm, im Hauptschlafzimmer gibt es jedoch eine Klimaanlage, so dass es dort sehr angenehm war.
Wir hatten ein Problem mit einem Schlüssel, der einen Tag vor der Abreise abgebrochen ist. Es wurde sich zeitnah um eine Lösung gekümmert. Die Kommunikation war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert.
Auch die Lage der Unterkunft ist gut, in der Nähe gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und auch der Nationalpark Ballena ist zu Fuß erreichbar.
Wir können die Unterkunft sehr weiterempfehlen!

L'endroit correspondait exactement aux photos. L'appartement est très bien équipé avec même des éléments de base comme de l'huile et des épices. Très bel accueil avec panier de fruits frais (très apprécié). La piscine est un bonus formidable, parfait pour terminer votre journée en relaxant avec votre drink. Plusieurs oiseaux exotiques (Toucans, perroquet et autres) sont passés par notre court arrière, c'était génial. Ce n'est pas à distance de marche des principaux points d'intérêt, mais facilement accessible en voiture.
Nous n'hésitons pas à recommander cette endroit.

We really enjoyed our stay in Uvita! The house was very clean and well stocked. We especially loved the pool and the convenient location close to the beach and restaurants. The only downside was that there was only AC in the downstairs room. The upstairs can get pretty warm, even with fans. It did cool off a bit at night, but adding a second AC unit upstairs would make this place perfect

Tout d'abord parlons de la maison: très jolie, moderne, bien équipée mais à quel moment dans sa conception, au soleil et plein sud, on ne prévoit pas de rideau occultant ou une climatisation dans la pièce principale? La "chambre" a l'étage est sous les toits, petites fenêtres sans vitrages et donc une chaleur limite insupportable! Selon les réponses de l'hôte la clim serait installé...un jour.
Siphon de la douche non nettoyé, bouché par des cheveux, traces sur les vitres, poussière sur la clim de la chambre (filtre très sale), les marches de la piscine sont abimées manquent de joints, ça nous a troué un short de bain. J'en ai fait part on m'a répondu "désolé mais nous n'offrons pas ce type de couverture" (pour un remboursement). Je l'ai obtenu en faisant une réclamation en fin de séjour via Airbnb.
On a voulu arriver plus tôt que les 15h comme indiqués dans l'annonce, on pouvait demander... jamais eu de réponse avant...15h.
Donc maison bien dans l'ensemble, contact commercial à revoir.

This may be the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. It had everything you need and even things you didn’t know you needed!
Located in a quite area near Uvita National Park (beach). The apartment was spotless, the shower was the best we had in Costa Rica and the utility room was super handy.
Of course the private swimming pool was the icing on the cake.
Parking was private with a locked gate.
Aircon is only in the main bedroom which was more than fine if you’re just two sleeping in that room.
We would more than happily stay here again.

This is really a great place to stay in Uvita if you want to be able to park after a bunch of traveling and not have to drive for a few days. There is so much within a 30 minute walking distance that it allows you to settle into the area. We only had three days but we made the most of it. Surfing, exploring the waterfalls and walking to the point.
There are a tremendous amount of food options available nearby. Every restaurant we tried was great, however, even the sodas were priced accordingly for a tourist town. Cooking for yourself will save you quite a bit.
I feel like this location is ideal for an active couple. We traveled with our 3 year old and our 9 month old. I took the loft and I found it to be a bit noisy. Between the fan provided (which was needed), and the AC in the room below, there was a lot of mechanical energy taking place. Regardless of that we loved our stay and we are already planning our next trip back. I'll just squeeze in the bed downstairs this time

Das Ferienhaus in Uvita ist eine tolle private Oase. Einfach fantastisch: der hauseigene Außenpool und die Terrassenmöbel draußen.
Küche super, sehr gut ausgestattet, moderner großer Kühlschrank.
Manko ist, dass das Schlafzimmer oben nicht klimatisiert ist. Die warme Luft steigt nach oben...
Ansonsten alles fein! Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Uvita sehr genossen.

The little pool was a good option to cool down. You could reach restaurants and the Nationalpark by foot.

Private oasis, but you can walk to the whales tail! Might be warm to sleep upstairs but the open air place makes you feel right with nature. Pool is perfect cool off after hot day!

It was a nice stay. All communication was quick and well organized. Very clean and well furnished house, bright and cute kitchen with all things needed. Thanks for offering small bbq grill outside! Swimming pool was clean and comfortable. We liked the stay!

We hebben een mega fijn overnachting gehad. De locatie is goed te bereiken met de auto. Het nationaal park is op loopafstand. Daarnaast zijn er restaurants, koffiezaakjes en een bakker op loopafstand. Het huis is geweldig! In de keuken is alles aanwezig en alles is schoon.

La maison est tellement bien équipée et spécialement chaleureuse. Tout y est pensé. La cuisine surtout avec poêle au gaz, couteaux affilés, bbq a convection dehors, tout inspire à cuisiner.
La piscine ajoute que du bonheur. Et elle est beaucoup plus grande qu’elle ne paraît sur les photos.
Une note spéciale pour la visite de 2 Toucans a notre jour 1 directement dans notre cour!!
Un grand panier de fruits frais, un sac de café et des fleurs taillées nous accueillaient sur la table.
A 2 rues de la queue de baleine et d’excellents restaurants.
C’était absolument la Pura vida !

An incredible value. Beautiful, elegant, wonderful ceiling fans and well-appointed kitchen. Good location for central access to town and the reserve main gate a few blocks away, but beach access right near the house (or after 5 pm when the official entrance closes) is not easy.
That said, we felt like royalty at the house with lots of wonderful touches: excellent blender, hot water, delicious fruit and coffee as welcome gifts, and great patio and pool situation. I stayed with my two young adult children and we all loved it

Beautiful property in close proximity to great restaurants/coffee shops and Marino Ballena National Park. However, the house does get very warm during the day due to the lack of curtains to keep the heat out and the lack of air conditioning that was not installed in any room but the main bedroom on the ground floor. So as long as you don't plan on being home during the day, great. Just note, that the heat renders the upstairs loft bedroom rather useless. Our family of 4 all packed into the main bedroom with the AC to sleep every night.

Amazing place, they took care about every detail to make our stay comfortable. They were also very responsive whenever we have questions, the location is great near the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. I recommend this place a 100% I would stay here again when I come back to Uvita for sure. Thanks again! 💕

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Le lieu est très bien situé à quelques minutes de marche seulement de La Queue de la Baleine. La piscine était très rafraîchissante. Nous avons eu un problème avec l’air climatisé, mais l’hôte a immédiatement envoyé qu’un pour réparer. Le Airbnb est vraiment très beau à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur et très bien équipé pour cuisiner.

De locatie van het huis en de faciliteiten in de woning waren heerlijk. De keuken was goed uitgerust en van alle gemakken voorzien. Enig verbeterpuntje: in de slaapkamer zijn geen verduisterende gordijnen waardoor wij steeds vroeg wakker waren.

Per you private message and requesting a digital access - the home has digital locks and no keys are required to enter the home. The house is beautiful, exactly like the photos and so close to the beach. There are walkable restaurants and stores close by. Everything you could need was available, it's fully stocked with all necessities plus some. There was even fresh fruit upon our arrival. We felt right at home. The pool was an amazing added bonus and we saw macaws flying over in the mornings!
We did have some issues with the AC on our last night and unfortunately since it was late no one got back to us until the morning. Then the power went out at 2am causing an annoying beeping and lights turning on that luckily only lasted a few minutes before coming back on. The AC in general is loud, there's a dripping and gurgling sound constantly so if you are a light sleeper be prepared. There are also barn doors for the bathroom which doesn't lend much to privacy since there are gaps. Overall it was a great stay, just a few nuisances.

Thank you for the review AliMarie. We are sorry for the issue with the electricity going on and off - unfortunately that can happen from time to time in a developing country. We do provide service from 7 am - 10 pm, but we do not have staff members able to visit properties after 10 pm (and there are no 24 hour stores to purchase supplies from if there is an issue). Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt. Es war alles genau wie auf den Fotos zu sehen. Egal was für Fragen wir hatten, uns wurde sofort geholfen und nach einer Lösung gesucht. Die Lage ist einfach perfekt um den Parque Nacional Marino Bellena und Umgebung zu besichtigen. Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit, wir kommen gerne wieder. 🤙

Dit huis heeft ECHT alles wat je nodig hebt en meer. We voelde ons gelijk thuis. Het ontbrak aan niets. Je kunt het zo gek niet bedenken of het was aanwezig. Het was netjes en schoon. Het zwembad was heerlijk om even af te koelen. We zijn bang dat we niet meer zo’n mooi huis gaan treffen tijdens onze reis.

Beautifully designed and probably one of the most well equipped place I’ve ever stayed. Everything was clean inside and out. Pool was slightly bigger than expected and shown in the photos. About a 5/10 minute walk to the beach (national park) + a couple of smaller shops. Nice bakery a couple of minutes walk from the property which was great for breakfast and lunch. Bigger supermarket was about a 5 minute drive.
Not the properties fault but streets around Uvita could have better lighting on the streets but never felt unsafe.
Overall great stay and would have to say this is one of the best AirBNB I’ve stayed in for a long while.

Eine schöne, große Unterkunft in Strandnähe in Uvita. Die Küche ist wirklich hervorragend ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts. Die Unterkunft war zudem sauber, die Kommunikation schnell.

Wat hebben we het heerlijk gehad in deze woning. Met twee tieners op reis is het sowieso fijn om een zwembad ter beschikking te hebben.
Er waren genoeg handdoeken. Een uitgebreid handboek met uitleg en suggesties. Een keuken voorzien van alle gemakken. En de organisatie reageerde snel als er toch iets was.
We hadden een eekhoornenfamilie in de palmboom in het huis, overvliegende ara’s en dicht bij het nationale park. Supermarkten en een bakkerij in de buurt en allerlei plekken waar je lekker kan eten.
We hebben genoten !

Ein wirklich super ausgestattetes und sauberes Haus es hat an nichts gefehlt. Es wirkte so als würde man bei jemanden zuhause übernachten, mit vielen kleinen Akzenten und Details. Alle paar Minuten sind Aras 🦜 über uns hinweg geflogen.
