Sans hésiter 5 étoiles pour Osa Property, mais seulement 3 pour le logement lui-même pour les points ci-après; ceci étant, nous ne regrettons pas notre séjour, nous recommandons cette maison et n’hésiterons pas pour y retourner.
– les ustensiles de cuisines ont bien vécu, certains nous ont manqué; la vaisselle n’était pas impeccable (1er couteau plein de pâte à tartiner)
– les espaces sont plus petits qu’il n’y parait sur les photos
– une table à manger en intérieur serait la bienvenue (mais manque de place pour)
– des prises électriques au niveau de l’îlot central et du canapé seraient les bienvenus (notamment pour pouvoir établir un camp de base pour ceux qui ne voyagent qu’avec 1 adaptateur)
– la chambre à 3p devrait être convertie en chambre à 2 (peu de place pour ceux qui dorment en-dessous + pas d’espace repas pour 7)
– la queue de baleine n’est pas visible de la maison
Nous avons adoré la tranquillité et passer de longs moment le matin/soir à observer la faune passer

We had a wonderful stay at Honu Kai from May 11, 2026 to May 15, 2026. The home is stunning , very clean and well equipped. It truly is in the middle of the jungle and home of amazing wildlife. We saw several capuchin monkeys playing in the trees, a three toed sloth eating his lunch, a basilisk lizard that hung out by the pool with us, numerous birds and butterflies and a group of howler monkeys sitting in a tree near the house. The property lost a star due to the lack of railings on outside stairs and pool stairs. We would definitely stay at Honu Kai again. It was a vacation to remember!

They are not exaggerating when they say 4×4 vehicle required! It was 100% worth it though. We saw so much wildlife while swimming in the pool, including sloths, toucans, and howler monkeys. Great stay.

We loved our stay! So quiet and secluded (except for the animals!). We saw monkeys, toucans, iguanas, and geckos right by the pool. The host was also extremely helpful and responsive. Would love to come back again. Thanks!

The house is amazing and exactly as pictured. Communication with the rental company was very good from the point of the original reservation throughout our stay.
Lovely outdoor space
While the interior is a bit dated and tired, the outside space more than makes up for it. This villa is nestled in the rainforest and surrounded by lush vegetation. Yes, the cicadas are very loud in Jan/Feb, but you it doesn’t take long to get used to it.
The management was very responsive and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. I’d choose to stay in this villa again.

Beautiful, clean and spacious. As mentioned in the listing, a 4 wheel drive vehicle is needed. The drive up was a little tough but worth it! Lovely outdoor spaces with lots of wildlife.

Schöne Lage im Jungel, wir konnten viele Tiere beobachten.
Küchenutensilien waren etwas schmutzig. Im hinteren Zimmer im EG war der Geruch etwas muffig.
Der Rest war sauber und wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

It was a beautiful location with a responsive team. The pool was cleaned regularly and sparkled. The biggest challenge was that the WiFi was spotty and made working remotely difficult.

Fantastic location, remote, quiet, private, surrounded by nature. The house isn't the newest, but it is clean and provides all amenities required for a family/group of six.

Très beaux extérieurs pour cette villa au coeur de la jungle où nous avons eu la chance de voir et d'entendre des animaux.
Quelques petits bémols qui sont la difficultés l'aménagement des pièces du rez de chaussée offrant peu d'intimité pour la salle de bain et l'humidité importante au sein du logement.

In terms of humidity - all of the bedrooms have A/C and the home is located in the tropical rain forest of Costa Rica, during the rainy season, so humidity should be expected this time of year and throughout the year really. Beautiful home and location. You're fully in the middle of the jungle. FYI there is only a curtain (no door) for the downstairs bathroom which is next to the 3 bedrooms and living room.

The place was just like it looked in the pictures. It's set in the jungle with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean in the distance. We loved all the outdoor seating areas and listening to the wildlife. The house was clean and well furnished and the pool was clean also.

Beautiful location. Short ride into town. Saw many different birds, frogs, and howler monkeys on 2 occasions. Howler monkeys came right along the house and up the driveway.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was paradise. The minute we arrived my son spotted a sloth up a tree and a group of monkeys in the jungle. He was shaking with excitement! It was so lovely just sitting on the balconies watching all the wildlife and looking at the spectacular views. The house was amazing too. Definitely one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in and we were all sad to leave.

AMAZING Property! Was the primary stop on our visit to Costa Rica. The home felt like our own resort. Backyard is amazing, just like the pictures. First heard a howler monkey on day one. Then saw him climbing the tree behind pool. AMAZING. Saw many more animals including a Coati. We named him Oscar. Friendly guy that might get within 15 feet of you but then runs off. Saw toucan, parrot, many more including an owl. Bring your 4x4 and maybe let Grandma have a downstairs bedroom. The master bed is AMAZING. I did not want to leave. The host is super helpful too. Visit the bakery at the bottom of the hill. Not market well, but super good. We did not try the new American looking bakery next to the old one. We wanted an authentic experience. Bring sun screen. You will burn much quicker than in Denver, Florida, etc. The famous whale tail beach is about 10 minutes away.

This property was very clean and the grounds were well maintained. We loved being semi secluded with so much wildlife around to listen to while relaxing on the multiple decks. While driving up the mountain seemed challenging at first it is well worth it and easy to get used to. The surrounding areas are full of activities and the beaches are beautiful. We would definitely recommend this property.

Absolutely wonderful stay. We loved the setting, we were able to thoroughly relax and enjoy our surroundings. We got good use of the pool, saw a pack of monkeys this morning right outside, and the view and surroundings were wonderful. The host was very responsive and helpful. The house had great provisions - beach towels and mats, great hang out space, great kitchen.

Love this place so much. The wall to ceiling windows make you feel like you are up in the trees. The pool is private and is a lovely place to relax in the jungle. Love to watch the monkeys, sloth and toucans from the pool and the upper patio. We will be back for sure!

We stayed 8 nights, it is a very beautiful property surrounded by lush jungle. We had tons of wildlife daily. The house its self is beautiful, very clean, lots of amenities and everything you need. The pool is nice and clean. You also have a great view of the ocean. Definitely need a 4x4 to access, the drive up to the property is all up a steep hill on a gravel road. Grocery store right at the bottom of the hill is very convenient, also The bakery is a MUST go to. The only minor issues were no curtain in the bathroom that has a big window, so getting in and out of the shower felt a little exposed (there is another rental at the beginning of the drive way) the gate wasn't working during our stay so it was all manual to open and close, and some of the windows don't lock well and can be pushed open, but easy fixes. All in all highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. it's truly paradise.

I highly recommend this place for a group of 5-6 people with no children under 5 because of steep sides of the house going into the jungle. That being said... It's super private, you see amazing wildlife around you. I would really book this place again and Osa Property mgmt have the house fully decked out with anything you need. You better have a 4x4.

House was perfect for us and the management team went out of their way to assist us! Our review would easily have been a full 5 stars but the lack of generator (with rolling blackouts) had us trapped at the property. Also, perhaps a bidet for the bathrooms would help, given that toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet.

The location was beautiful and the house well supplied and comfortable. We did have a 4 x 4 car which was needed with the steep, rough road. There are sharp drop offs on both sides of the house so I would not bring small children here but it was a very peaceful, beautiful retreat.

fantastic location, the driveway is a bit steep but with a 4x4 there will be no issues. the house is very private and has wonderful views of the ocean, monkeys swinging through the trees all around you and lots of beautiful trees and flowers making for a relaxing atmosphere. The house is in a great location offering privacy and convenience - there is a market at the bottom of the hill and lots of places to eat very close.
Osa Property Management was also excellent to deal with. They took great care of us and quickly replied to any questions we had.
