Osa Property management team was fantastic. We loved our stay in this beautiful home and this town is so very special but it was also full of excitement. The house is on a gravel side road Calle La Pista. We had a bit of hard time but if you see Cabinas de Castro it’s across the street from Calle la Pista. We lost power upon check in and the Osa team were quick to help us locate flashlights and report the outage. Luckily the safe is battery but the exterior gate is electric so I asked for a manual override key so we could still get out & they came the next morning to help. After all that when we came back from the beach the following day we were locked out due to loss of power w/ the manual override key inside the property. Lol! The power typically returns in 20 minutes. Hot water is wonderful and solar powered so be sure to shower before doing laundry. Even set to cold the wash machine used hot water. We absolutely loved our stay and Osa was super helpful. We would return.

I am very happy with our stay. I felt safe on the neighborhood very private and easy to get to. As a visitor from other parts of Costa Rica I was very impressed with the beautiful town of Ojochal. Beaches, Restaurants and supermarkets are very close to the house around 15 min drive. One little inconvenience I had was a power outage which they are no very common in the neighborhood but I was not prepared. Power outages are outside the host control and I understand but I felt overwhelmed without knowing if I had to moved to another town so it’s good to buy an insurance make sure it covers power outages. I was able to communicate with the host and they responded promptly.
I recommend to download Whatsup to communicate. Pura vida!! Overall

Kingfisher was a great stay. The team were also very helpful at accommodating a last minute request. The house itself is on the smaller side but had everything that we needed to feel like home. It was clean and the pool was awesome and refreshing after work. They also came to do maintenance while we were there. A/C, TV and internet all worked properly. Two adults were working remotely during the weekdays that we were there so it was critical that internet was reliable and it was, even though there were some small dropouts, they were barely noticeable and weren’t really an issue. We only had a minor issue with the main bathroom and it was promptly fixed the same day while we were out. The house is a few KM from the main road but we never felt unsafe while staying at the property. We did have a car though and you’ll probably want to have one as the closest beach was about a 15 minute drive from the house. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely consider this house (or others managed by OSA Property Management) when we’re in the area in the future!

The house itself was ok. There was only place to eat for 3 people which was a problem for us as a family of 4. But it was quite well equipped. It was more than a 5 minute walk to the beach but it was convenient to many places in Uvita.
Our biggest problem was with the property management company. They were absolutely unresponsive to problems we had and when/if they did respond it was to let us know that nobody else had problems so it must have been just us. The master bath has some plumbing issues – standing water, immensely slow shower drain and as a result there was a massive mosquito infestation in the master bath. We killed a minimum of 30-40 mosquitos in the bathroom on a daily basis. We reached out to property management to let them know and never heard back. If I could offer advice, find a different management company to use that may be actually respond to issues.

When you contacted us about how your son was bitten by a spider on tour, we immediately sent you the location of the nearest medical center in relation to where you were. In addition, we asked if there was anything else we could do to help. We told you, “Call us if you need help on translation” [hospital] and you responded, “Great.” Regarding the mosquito issue: You contacted us on Sunday, December 26, at 5:27 pm and we responded at 5:52 pm. That evening (the same day – within hours of being contacted by you) a Property Manager visited the property to ascertain the situation and to resolve it. After the property manager left, you never contacted us again for the remainder of your trip. The day before check-out, we sent you a message wishing you a “Hope you are enjoying your stay” and you never responded. We provided you with quick service, and we apologized for the situation you encountered.

Villa Peninsula is undeniably beautiful. The view of the Ojochal hills is stunning, the bedrooms are spacious with large closets, and the landscaping is top-tier. The 270-degree wraparound deck immerses you in the surrounding jungle.
Unfortunately, the management left a lot to be desired. From the start, we were asked to pay a $15 non-refundable Truvi security check fee—which felt unnecessary and was only removed after I challenged it. The lack of attention to detail and responsiveness added unnecessary frustration to our stay.
Power outages occurred more than once. The security alarm went off randomly.. The dishwasher was leaking.
Several light switches didn’t function correctly. The porch lights were extremely dim, and floodlight didn’t work at all. Customer service and responsiveness from the host were disappointing. Most frustratingly, the listing said no 4×4 required, which was flat-out misleading. The 2km dirt road was challenging. It’s a shame. This house has so much potential.
