We took a holiday of two weeks to run away from stress, the house and location were exactly what we need . Reclusive, in the middle of the jungle with a very relaxing pool and still close to the town and the beeches, but an 4×4 vehicle is requiered.We were visited by monkeys,copaibas and white nose coati’s, a lot of birds it felt like having a our personal nature park.The house and pool are just like in the pictures. And the personal from Osa help us with everything we need it..from suggestions and links for reserving excursions, to things that we need it. They were very prompt answering to our requests. For us was like a home away from home. We will always be happy to return to Casita Honu Iki. Thank you for an unforgetable holyday. Pura vida!!!!

Casita Catalina is an incredible place to stay while visiting Uvita. We enjoyed the pool. We walked to restaurants and the beach every day. The house felt private and safe. We recommend staying here. Gorgeous views and your own personal zoo! You will not be sorry. The rooms are large and comfortable. Many of them had little kitchenettes with mini fridges. The patios and balconies all had fantastic views. Be aware that The swimming pool and jacuzzi disappointingly are not heated. And the main living room, dining and kitchen are not cooled. Also know that the home has many many steps up and down just to get into the home and then up or down to your rooms, patios and pool areas. You will definitely see animals! Monkeys, sloths, toucans and parrots were there everyday. We ran out at sunrise and sunset each day to see our animals and it was so exciting to come home and unwind knowing this. Make sure to wear bug spray on your exposed areas lol. We found ourselves being nibbled on by who knows what just walking around in the jungle but never really seeing what they were. This is for Costa Rica in general. We also asked and were given the what’s app link to a personal delivery service who picked up groceries or meals for us so we didn’t have to leave the house. But if you do, everything you could need was just minutes away. Make sure to watch the sunsets from the bedroom at the very top! Oh also there’s no dryer but there is a washer. In a house this big we expected this. The driveway up the mountain to the house was scary at first. Try to come in the daytime the first time you come. It is steeply pitched, has sharp turns, uneven pavement and not good signage. Make sure your phones are on Google maps and Waze. But even then, know that the directions fall short to get to the house. You will go over a tiny bridge and just continue to head up. At night you will not see this very well. A 4×4 is REQUIRED! But let me assure you it all adds to your adventure… this home and the experience you will leave with are both ONE OF A KIND! We will be back!

This place almost feels like home. We stayed for 10 months and we would come back anytime!

Unfortunately, the main living areas are not habitable and enjoyable due to the excessive heat/poor circulation. No wind and not far enough up in a mountain. Broken fans. baby was sweating profusely. People coming to CR for vacation want to relax and have certain amenities. Simply add A/C.
The Osa Property management failed to meet our expectations. Poor communication. Did not solve ANY problems and were dismissive.
-house not ready, waited over an hour
-never brought more fans. Sent tech but nothing improved
-asked for blankets. Never received.
-wifi not for working. Low mega
-5 min lukewarm shower don’t expect a romantic experience
-ripped screens along roofline
-kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity damaged/in poor condition
Don’t really need 4×4, mostly paved and not too steep.

Beautiful home in great location. Could be amazing with improvements and better company or simply a person without a brand to uphold.

We have rented a lot of vacation homes in many countries and this home, and its location is an experience within itself one of the best homes I have ever rented. If i could give six or seven stars I would, simply an experience my entire family will not forget. Would love to return to Costa Rica and stay in this home again.
