Casa Rana Verde is a wildlife oasis! During our time on the property, we spotted nearly as much wildlife as we did while trekking through Corcovado National Park. We saw a yellow-throated toucan, violet sabrewing and lesser violetear hummingbirds, basilisks, a Central American agouti, geckos, a scorpion, howler monkeys, and many bright and beautiful butterflies and frogs. The flora around the property, particularly the avocado trees and pineapples, were stunning (and delicious). We greatly enjoyed the pool, sipping coffee and wine in the many comfy spots on each level’s outdoor patio, eating family breakfasts and playing games at the outdoor dining table. We were a group of 7 guests – two couples and three children and we were perfectly comfortable with the sleeping accommodations. The house was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice for our two families to gather and also to have our own self-contained spaces. The house was well-stocked for all of our needs and the local stores and restaurants offered many and varied delicious food choices. The lower level with the outdoor shower overlooking the garden was one of our personal favorite spots. It is secluded and has extremely beautiful views of the flora and fauna. You truly feel alone with nature here. The surrounding area also offered everything we could hope for. We went on day trips to zipline with Osa Canopy tours, went horseback riding and cliff jumped at Nauyaca falls, trekked Corcovado, and snorkled at Cano Island. Osa Property Management was very responsive and helped us to book all desired tours. We saw unbelievable sunsets at Playa Hermosa, Playa Uvita, Playa Dominical, Playa Ventanas, and Playa Tortuga. We ate at many of the restaurants noted in the property’s guidebook and enjoyed the food and drinks at each one. Our favorites were Citrus and Pancito Cafe. We will definitely be back again and were very sorry when our stay came to an end. We cannot recommend Casa Rana Verde highly enough. It is truly a home away from home and perfect for those who want to connect with all the natural beauty Costa Rica has to offer. Pura Vida!

This condo was amazing! It was outfiited so beautifully. Any issues were addressed immediately. It is an great location. So accommodating!

We had 9 people staying on the property, and had more than ample space. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are amazing and so is the wildlife. We would see reptiles, insects, multiple birds and much more. It exceeded our expectations! We hope to return to the property and enjoy more of what Costa Rica has to offer. De mooiste Airbnb die ik ooit heb gezien. Hoogwaardige kwaliteit handdoeken, beddengoed en keukenapparatuur. Een prachtige infinity pool en als kers op de taart een goed gevulde fruitschaal bij aankomst. Ik zou deze plek aan iedereen aanraden!

Great place to stay in Dominical. Good location close to the beach and stores.

Home was clean and tidy and equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. I still can’t get used to not flushing toilet paper, but this is not the only property where that is not allowed. I wish property owners would install/upgrade their plumbing to allow for flushing of used toilet paper, as I feel it very unsanitary to have soiled TP in the bathroom during a visit. My only other issue with this property is the check-in process was a bit cumbersome. We did not get check-in details until after our check-in time (3:00PM), but the problem was that we arrived a few minutes early to the property and the property manager communicates through WhatsApp (no WiFi or internet service at the property location). So, in order to get the check-in information, we had to drive several miles down the road to get cell service to be able to communicate with the property manager via WhatsApp, and then drive back to the property to access the house. It would have been nice to already have the check-in information (or at least the WiFi info to be able to communicate with the property manager upon arrival) before driving outside of cell service. Other than the above, this rental was good and we would consider staying again in the future.

Regarding the plumbing: that is an issue for the entire country, as Costa Rica does not currently have waste water treatment plants for homes to connect into. Hopefully that didn’t impact your rating that you gave us, as that is entirely out of the control of any property owner in the entire region. In regards to the check in process: You were provided with the check-in instructions via the digital guidebook link on September 30th – almost 6 weeks in advance. On October 1st you acknowledged that you had received all of the information. You wrote back “Perfecto! Appreciate the information.” That information clearly stated to you the check-in and arrival process. On November 10, the day of arrival, we sent a note to you at 7:48 am confirming the information and map location. Again, we’re sorry we weren’t clearer but we were under the assumption it was understood by your comments. Pura vida! Osa Property Management

It was way more than we expected. The location is prime. There are so many things to do, especially if you like to adventure out. I highly recommend this property, and am looking forward to returning.
