What a beautiful, magical place! We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it. We were 2 couples with 3 small kids who enjoyed the pool, nearby beaches and towns, wildlife (monkeys! lizards! birds! big bugs!), and sunset swims and dinners. A couple of things to note which we didn’t expect: the power does go out pretty often, which is common for the area. Only once it went out at night for 10 hours which was tough with the heat. There is only A/C in the bedrooms so the main level does get very hot during the day. As other reviews mentioned, you have use the steep-ish outside stairs to get between floors. Not a big deal, but a slight inconvenience sometimes. The road to the property does require 4×4 but was not an issue for us going in and out, we liked it! The waterfall hike is awesome but challenging with kids (steep). House is beautiful and clean with no bugs inside at all. Overall we had a fantastic, memorable stay and would love to come back again! The minor problems we did have were fixed quickly by Osa Property Management. The water went out twice and was fixed within hours. The shower did not get very warm, but they knew that now! The house was clean and comfortable, the pool delightful and cleaned twice a week, and the air conditioning in the bedroom made comfortable sleeping possible. This is a perfect location to be able to reach the far SW of CR; car necessary. Pura Vida

Here’s what you wrote to John: It was absolutely amazing. It was our 35 th wedding anniversary. Sooooo special. One of the best vacations we’ve ever had. Girls want to move to CR. Casa de Guacamaya Roja is absolutely beautiful. Perfect in every way. And we had everything we needed down to laundry detergent. We absolutely can’t thank you enough!!!!!

La casa está genial, con detalles muy bonitos, es más amplia de lo que se puede apreciar en las fotos. La ubicación es un entorno natural con un paisaje increible, al fondo el mar, rodeado de naturaleza y a los que les gusta el birdwatching, es una gran opción por la variedad de aves.

I am giving 3 stars because we were not able to stay at this place. A day before we were supposed to stay here, the owners told the property managers that they didn’t want people staying at the home. Luckily, OSA Property Management was very helpful in arranging another place for us to stay nearby and that fit everyone comfortably. I would highly recommend booking a property through OSA either through Airbnb or their website. They communicate well and make sure you have everything you need. We ended up having a great stay in Costa Rica with a big thanks to them.

Una casa enorme, comodísima, con todo lo necesario para pasarla muy bien. Gran cantidad de utensilios de cocina y vajilla. Las habitaciones muy cómodas, con camas confortables y baños limpios. Las vistas maravillosas, tanto hacia el mar cómo hacía la montaña. La piscina muy limpia y de un buen tamaño. Sin duda volveríamos a este magnífico lugar.
