We were initially scheduled to stay at another house, but two days prior to our trip we were notified by OSA that the house was no longer available. We booked this vacation 4 months prior and we were traveling with a toddler and an infant so the timing was not good. OSA offer us an alternate location in the same area and the minute we walked in the house we loved it. There are a couple of things that can be done to improve the total experience, ie: the outdoor furniture, although is looks great with the decor it is not practical and can potentially be an issue. And although we had an issue our first night there OSA was quick to respond. Our host Henry was the best! He was very informative and provided us with information of the local area and he was quick to stop by whenever we needed his assistance. All in all my family and I enjoyed our stay at The Lone Star Hacienda and we would definitely stay there or at other locations that are manage my OSA Property Management.

Excelente lugar. La ubicación es privilegiada y la casa es exactamente tal como aparece en la descripción y en las fotos: una estancia de lujo, cómoda y rodeada de naturaleza. Durante las mañanas tuvimos la hermosa experiencia de observar monos aulladores (“congos”) y cariblancos que llegan a alimentarse cerca de la propiedad, lo que hace la experiencia aún más especial.
La casa es amplia, cuenta con aire acondicionado en todas las áreas y la piscina se mantiene muy limpia; es perfecta tanto para niños como para adultos que disfrutan nadar, con una profundidad máxima aproximada de 1.5 metros. Sin duda, le damos un 10/10 y recomendamos el lugar al 100%.
Como observación útil para futuros huéspedes: la entrada es de lastre y un poco empinada. Un automóvil bajo podría tener dificultad para ingresar. Nosotros llegamos en dos mini SUV (Volkswagen Crossfox y Audi Q3) y pudimos subir y bajar sin necesidad de 4×4; sin embargo, en época lluviosa consideramos que lo más recomendable es utiliza

Nuestra estancia en esta casa fue absolutamente excepcional. Desde el momento en que llegamos quedamos impresionado por el impecable orden y el lujo que se respiraba en cada rincón. Cada detalle estaba cuidadosamente dispuesto, creando un ambiente de sofisticación y confort inigualable. Los acabados de alta calidad y el mobiliario elegante contribuyeron a una sensación de tranquilidad. Fue un verdadero placer relajarnos en un espacio tan hermoso y bien cuidado. ¡Definitivamente, una experiencia para repetir!”

Out stay for the three of us was very nice. The house was clean, well equipped and was a great Uvita location with easy access to an number of places to eat and very close to the beach! OSA was helpful with little items we needed assistance with. Thank you Team OSA!

We had a great stay at this beautiful modern home! The ocean and rainforest views were absolutely incredible, especially from the infinity pool, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The house was well equipped with dishes, cookware, and a grill, which made it easy to enjoy meals at the house.
The hosts were also very helpful and provided local recommendations for grocery stores, restaurants, and other nearby spots, which made getting around much easier.
A 4×4 vehicle is absolutely necessary to get to the property. We initially thought this might be exaggerated because a previous Airbnb we stayed at said the same thing and it ended up not being needed, but in this case it definitely is. The road to the house is long, steep, bumpy, and unpaved, so be prepared for that drive.
Just keep in mind that because the home is surrounded by rainforest, there are quite a lot of bugs, so come prepared for that. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the scenery made it unforgettable!

I want to thank you for rentiing this home, it was truly a blessing. We were previously going to stay somewhere else but more family decided to join the group last minjte and we needed a big home. This was perfect!! It is a very nice home with all accomodations including the private massage room! What an extra! Everythin from a nice scenery in the front yard and swimming pool, to Mcaws flying up above, was the true Costa Rican experience. The host was very responsive to anything I needed fairly quickly and you could walk a very short distance to get some food. We will definitely rent this home again if it rises to the ocassion.

The house itself was ok. There was only place to eat for 3 people which was a problem for us as a family of 4. But it was quite well equipped. It was more than a 5 minute walk to the beach but it was convenient to many places in Uvita.
Our biggest problem was with the property management company. They were absolutely unresponsive to problems we had and when/if they did respond it was to let us know that nobody else had problems so it must have been just us. The master bath has some plumbing issues – standing water, immensely slow shower drain and as a result there was a massive mosquito infestation in the master bath. We killed a minimum of 30-40 mosquitos in the bathroom on a daily basis. We reached out to property management to let them know and never heard back. If I could offer advice, find a different management company to use that may be actually respond to issues.

When you contacted us about how your son was bitten by a spider on tour, we immediately sent you the location of the nearest medical center in relation to where you were. In addition, we asked if there was anything else we could do to help. We told you, “Call us if you need help on translation” [hospital] and you responded, “Great.” Regarding the mosquito issue: You contacted us on Sunday, December 26, at 5:27 pm and we responded at 5:52 pm. That evening (the same day – within hours of being contacted by you) a Property Manager visited the property to ascertain the situation and to resolve it. After the property manager left, you never contacted us again for the remainder of your trip. The day before check-out, we sent you a message wishing you a “Hope you are enjoying your stay” and you never responded. We provided you with quick service, and we apologized for the situation you encountered.
