A nice house in an area with lots of development. Close (by car)to Uvita, the national park and beaches.

The property is surrounded by forest and has a beautiful view of the ocean. We awoke each morning to the sound of howler monkeys, and each evening the songs of toucans, Montezuma oropendolas, and other birds filled the air.

Tom and Christine of Jaguar Property Management were very helpful and responsive from the first time we contacted them through our final checkout. (Thank you!)

We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Pura Vida!

The only item to note is that the toilet in the master bedroom is not really “en suite”, but “in suite”; meaning, there is no door.

The house was great. Loved the space. Sadly the WiFi did not work but that was beyond their control as something had effected the power station that puts off the WiFi Signal in the neighborhood. The hot water also was not working because the tank was empty but once it was fixed it was fine. But it was great that they had maintenance on it to resolve it. Everything else was perfect. Good experience

We stayed for a little over 4 weeks and very much enjoyed the experience. The house seemed larger than it appeared in the photos we looked at prior to arrival. Everything is modern and the kitchen was better than the average rental house – we prepared many meals while there. We enjoyed walking down to the waterfall for a swim every morning. The sunsets were absolutely spectacular. We paid extra for the cleaning crew to come several times during our stay – wonderful people who do great work, and the price was very reasonable. You do need 4WD, but it’s fun – you feel like you’re on a bit of an adventure😀 We encountered a few minor maintenance issues while we were there – the property management team always responded promptly and the people they sent to the house were friendly and professional. Regarding phone and internet service, the cell signal we got at the house was 1 bar of 3G, and the house has a fast fiber optic and wifi connection, however, the fiber optic connection was not always working (the fiber optic company’s issue, not the property managers). This is perfectly fine for a relaxed vacation but may be a challenge for anyone needing to work or join virtual meetings. We experienced no crime and always felt safe – in fact, the people we interacted with were uniformly friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend.this property.

Die Casita Catalina hat uns sehr begeistert. Die Annehmlichkeiten wie Pool und Aussenküche, 3 WCs, 2 Schlaf- und Badezimmer, Ventilatoren und Klimaanlage, top ausgestattete Küche inkl. Waschmaschine und Trockner sowie 10min zu Fuss zum Meer haben unsere Tage in Uvita zum perfekten Abschluss unserer Costa Rica Reise gemacht. Wir waren mehrmals am Strand (Baden nur bei Ebbe möglich) und haben den Nauyaka-Wasserfall besucht. Winziger Kritikpunkt: Im Pool waren viele Blätter vom Laubbaum vom Garten der Nachbarn. We had a fantastic time at Casa Victoria over New Years. Great house- very clean, great pool, great views. Kitchen well stocked, everything (appliances) worked. Only two small issues: sliding door to pool a little wonky and the a/c in master bedroom- it seems to somehow pull in the septic smell a bit if on for a long time. Maybe the tank needs to be emptied? But really- everything very good. We’ll be back!
