Featured Costa Rica Vacation Rentals

Location: on the Pacific Ocean side in the hills of portal on. House is perfectly surrounded by nature providing wonderful views of both the sunrise and sunset. The scenery is absolutely stunning. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms making the space suitable for groups up to 6. The house provides plenty of privacy while offering plenty of areas to gather. One of my favorite community spaces in the house is the indoor out door breakfast bar perfectly placed between the kitchen and front patio. Additionally, I believe the office nook is the most overlooked yet vital asset during my stay.

It’s the perfect villa for an intimate family vacation, a couples’s group trip, a business or wellness retreat, or even a content creation trip like my own. The staff is wonderful; Ronny is the property manager who welcomed me upon arrival. He was very pleasant and attentive to detail, and handled all my requests with grace.

Loved our stay! Property management was extremely communicative and the property was exactly like the pictures. As others have mentioned, a 4×4 is required but the drive is worth it. Incredible location and grounds. Birds and wildlife abound. All amenities needed. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay. The pool is great for cooling off any time right at your doorstep. Patio area was lovely to hang out in, rain or shine. Host was very responsive and helpful. Short walk to the national park beach. Restaurants in the area were great and walkable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

++Positive: The accommodation has a fantastic view, the customer service is very good, quick to answer questions, minimalist, top — good to know: – You can still see and hear the main road, but it’s not too disturbing – There are other flats next door, it is not quite as cut off as the marketing pictures sell it, but it is not bad either. ! After booking via Airbnb, you are contacted by a number via mobile phone and have to sign another rental contract via a website. At the same time, additional insurance cover costs another 40 dollars or 3-400 dollars are blocked on your credit card. The American way. I didn’t like that, and I made a comment straight away. However, I received reminders almost every day after booking to do this. The rental price was therefore immediately 10% more expensive. – Small things in the flat, such as the TV not being set up, unstable WLAN did not bother us. So only a small star deduction for a few little Things! Response: Hola Stephan! Sorry for the inconvenience. That is in the House Rules, but as an Airbnb Guest had you brought that to our attention that you didn’t want to take advantage of the additional damage protection we would have removed that requirement. That is a mandatory requirement for our Guests who book directly with us on our own website, but it is an option on Airbnb. Next time please let us know if there are any inconveniences and we would have resolved it immediately. Pura vida! Osa Property Management

The Casita Quetzal is a brand new house in a very quiet area 7 minute’ walk from Parque Marino Ballena. The pool is lovely and overall we enjoyed our week vacation very much. Highly recommended!

Great value. Great location. Nice pool. Constant security.

The property was as described. Very clean, the pool was nice and relaxing. The down part was, the directions that are on the app take you to 3 different locations. It was very frustrating. I finally asked the property management folk to just text me a pin, in which they did. Took us right to the property, unfortunately we were on the other side of town from their apps directions. The next morning we found several roaches in the kitchen and there were some sort of worms all over the floor. This was brought to the management team’s attention, to which they replied, “it’s Costa Rica, there’s bugs”. My thought was “no kidding, is that where I am?” The previous 2 nights we stayed in a jungle villa with no roaches in the kitchen. After all that, the night before checking out we were pressured NOT ONCE, but TWICE for an exact check out time. This experience will definitely make me rent from actual owners and not management companies. I’ll NEVER go back to this property. Would not recommend!!! As you may recall, you did not use the Digital Guidebook we sent to you 3 times prior to your arrival, which provides photos and turn-by-turn directions. Regarding the roaches – that is DEFINITELY not something we expect any Guest to endure and we have already sent the fumigators there. We are very sorry about that! In terms of confirming your check-out time, as we asked (once in the evening before and once on the day of, since you didn’t respond) “Do you know your check-out time. This helps us schedule the cleaners. Feel free to stay until 11 am, but if you’re leaving earlier, could you do us a favor and let us know” We’re sorry you found that frustrating – we’ve never had anyone complain before. This property was very clean and the grounds were well maintained. We loved being semi secluded with so much wildlife around to listen to while relaxing on the multiple decks. While driving up the mountain seemed challenging at first it is well worth it and easy to get used to. The surrounding areas are full of activities and the beaches are beautiful. We would definitely recommend this property.

Everything about this Ojochal home was perfect. My husband and I loved every moment. Warm pool, beauty view, immaculately clean, great kitchen for preparing meals but also close to many delicious restaurants and grocery shops. Citrus, Halyconia, Mosaic, Las Alturras were some of our favourites. Also short drive to Playa Tortuga and Playa Ballena. Don’t hesitate to book this great home! Super hosts Tom and Christine helped us with all our questions. Could not have been a better experience!
