The house itself was ok. There was only place to eat for 3 people which was a problem for us as a family of 4. But it was quite well equipped. It was more than a 5 minute walk to the beach but it was convenient to many places in Uvita.
Our biggest problem was with the property management company. They were absolutely unresponsive to problems we had and when/if they did respond it was to let us know that nobody else had problems so it must have been just us. The master bath has some plumbing issues – standing water, immensely slow shower drain and as a result there was a massive mosquito infestation in the master bath. We killed a minimum of 30-40 mosquitos in the bathroom on a daily basis. We reached out to property management to let them know and never heard back. If I could offer advice, find a different management company to use that may be actually respond to issues.

When you contacted us about how your son was bitten by a spider on tour, we immediately sent you the location of the nearest medical center in relation to where you were. In addition, we asked if there was anything else we could do to help. We told you, “Call us if you need help on translation” [hospital] and you responded, “Great.” Regarding the mosquito issue: You contacted us on Sunday, December 26, at 5:27 pm and we responded at 5:52 pm. That evening (the same day – within hours of being contacted by you) a Property Manager visited the property to ascertain the situation and to resolve it. After the property manager left, you never contacted us again for the remainder of your trip. The day before check-out, we sent you a message wishing you a “Hope you are enjoying your stay” and you never responded. We provided you with quick service, and we apologized for the situation you encountered.

Great spot if you like to get away from routine, window ocean view, great place!

We had a great stay. The place looks exactly like the pctures – beautiful. The host gave us an entire guide with shopping, restaurants, activities, etc to choose from. They also gave us fresh eggs every morning! We loved everything about the stay.

This place is just lovely and awsome!

Everything about this Ojochal home was perfect. My husband and I loved every moment. Warm pool, beauty view, immaculately clean, great kitchen for preparing meals but also close to many delicious restaurants and grocery shops. Citrus, Halyconia, Mosaic, Las Alturras were some of our favourites. Also short drive to Playa Tortuga and Playa Ballena. Don’t hesitate to book this great home! Super hosts Tom and Christine helped us with all our questions. Could not have been a better experience!

This house was perfect for a multiple day stay- it was great to be in the town, walking distance from everything, but also come back to a home that felt cozy and comfortable. The pool (unheated) is a refreshing bonus after a day of surfing. Towels are a huge plus because no one wants to have to waste luggage space on towels. The kitchen was stocked with local made cups and plates. We loved that the art in the house gave you a feel of where you are. The property team was extremely helpful and responsive, even followed up half-way through our stay to check if we needed anything else. We already can’t wIt to come back with some friends next time to enjoy it together. We also enjoyed coming this time of the year, as it wasn’t so busy in town.

Nicely situated near civilization, but off the main drag. Well appointed for the price point. Already booked another week!

Unfortunately, the main living areas are not habitable and enjoyable due to the excessive heat/poor circulation. No wind and not far enough up in a mountain. Broken fans. baby was sweating profusely. People coming to CR for vacation want to relax and have certain amenities. Simply add A/C.
The Osa Property management failed to meet our expectations. Poor communication. Did not solve ANY problems and were dismissive.
-house not ready, waited over an hour
-never brought more fans. Sent tech but nothing improved
-asked for blankets. Never received.
-wifi not for working. Low mega
-5 min lukewarm shower don’t expect a romantic experience
-ripped screens along roofline
-kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity damaged/in poor condition
Don’t really need 4×4, mostly paved and not too steep.

Beautiful home in great location. Could be amazing with improvements and better company or simply a person without a brand to uphold.

House and property exactly as described. Worked great for us and the location. Only problem we had was lack of hot water in mornings..
We arrived late but Jeremy gave us the info required.

We looked at a lot of larger and more expensive homes, before deciding on Casa Trogon. We are extremely pleased we chose this home. It was everything we wanted – good WiFi, Satellite TV, private pool and great location, all at an affordable price. Hat tip to Osa Property Managemetn for making our trip so enjoyable. We hope to be back!
