Very extended introduction material and a lot of automatic messages before arrival. The house was comfortable and clean. WiFi was very slow and the host didn’t respond to that, among other things. But at the same time, we got a lot of automatic robot like messages about their service. That didn’t really match. We didn’t like the impersonal feeling we got during this stay. But the house itself lived up to good standards, except for the problems with ants in the kitchen.

Great house, great hosts, great location!

The host was amazing ! She was very communicative and always responded quickly whenever I had questions. She really went out of her way to help me find solutions and even gave recommendations for taxis and things around the area, which made everything so much easier. I truly felt comfortable and at home during my stay—it was very peaceful and exactly what I needed. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend her!

Our stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The location was definitely a highlight, offering easy access to the beach. Check-in was also a breeze, which was a welcome start to our stay.However, there were several maintenance issues that impacted our experience. We encountered a problem with the oven display not working, and while maintenance did come to address it once, the issue wasn’t fully resolved. Additionally, the refrigerator filter clearly needed changing, but this was never taken care of during our stay. We also had initial trouble with the washing machine, which only started working after we ran a full cycle, seemingly resetting it.Beyond the in-room issues, the elevator was out of service for the duration of our visit. This was particularly inconvenient as our room was located on the third floor, a detail that was not mentioned in the hotel’s advertisement. Finally, the hotel listing indicated a private pool, which was not available.While the location and check-in were positive aspects, the unresolved maintenance issues, the non-functioning elevator (especially given our third-floor room and the lack of prior notice), and the inaccurate information regarding the private pool detracted significantly from our overall experience.

We had a wonderful stay at casita Quetzal. The location is great, close to the supermarket and the beach. The house is brand new and everything worked. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely come back

La propiedad era cómoda, bien ubicada en un barrio tranquilo. Las comodidades necesarias para nuestros intereses, una casa sencilla pero funcional. Un lugar silencioso y accesible, cercano del centro de Ojochal. La piscina es excelente, bien mantenida, las instalaciones del aireo acondicionado funcionan bien, la cocina bien equipada, un garaje amplio. Si bien el espacio compartido no tiene aires acondicionados, los ventiladores y las puertas hacen agradable estar en la propiedad. Las camas tamaño Queen, correctas y lo necesario para pasar unos días en este bonito pueblo descansando y visitando lugares. Volveríamos sin duda.

We’ve loved everything ! From the road to get to the house, the house itself (Ultra clean and perfect with the kids), the amount of restaurants around, the AMAZING VIEW of the jungle and the sea……WOW ! is the word all my family will use…..

We spent three nights at Maggy’s place in early February. If you are planning to visit, put Eden Estate in google maps, works great. *Pros* Spectacular views in a unique location Very quiet (except for the many birds and bugs) Spacious and clean Beautiful refreshing pool Laundry was very helpful We saw two toucans! *Cons* This was a big one for us – there is no air conditioning on the main floor – only in the three bedrooms upstairs. We hadn’t understood this from the listing. The house was uncomfortably hot and humid downstairs most of the time, even with all of the doors open. There wasn’t much breeze during our visit and we ran all of the fans we could. Also, none of the rooms in the house have any curtains available to block out the sun, so especially in the afternoon, the sun would blaze in the many windows and heat up the entire lower level. As other reviews have mentioned, the drive up to the house is rather crazy, steep and bumpy. 4 wheel drive is needed.
