We have stayed at a lot of rentals over the years and pictures don’t always tell the story. But they sure did on this occasion. This home is amazing in and out. The home is about five minutes up the hill from the little town center of Ojochal where there are several top notch restaurants, pub, cafe and groceries. The gated home is in the jungle but still offers a good amount of sun and shade. The pavilion with hanging egg chairs overlooking the river and waterfall was one of our favorites in the morning and afternoon. There is a maintained path down to the river and waterfall where we were able to sit in a natural pool just below the falls. There is also a “yoga” deck overlooking the river and jungle which we sat each morning for coffee. The entire back yard space and pool is Very private. We saw toucans everyday and had two different types of monkeys come by 4 of our 7 days. We saw several tree frogs, agouti and other critters which the kids loved checking out. The home is well maintained and has spa like aromas, which was awesome. The house has higher end appointments than the average rental especially in the kitchen. It reminded us more of an owners actual home who was away and let us use it rather than a typical “rental.” The house is extremely clean and airy. There are more than a dozen sliding glass doors throughout. After the first night we switched from using the AC to keeping the sliders and windows open. The sound of the waterfall knocked us out. OSA management was also excellent. We had a few questions and they responded without delay. We will 100% be back.

We loved the house from the moment we arrived.
It is centrally located in Uvita. You can walk to the beach and many eating establishments. We loved Carlitos. Awesome margaritas! Strong and delicious! Also the Le French Café. Lovely breakfasts and lunches. And I believe soon they will be opened for dinner! Check out Gusto up the mountain for sunset and great Italian food. The couple moved from near Tuscany. Home made pastas.
Now back to the accommodations. We absolutely loved the pool. It was just cool enough to cool off and warm enough to walk right in. My favourite spot to hangout. We weren’t there for vacation, my husband was working every day. It has a great outdoor space for him to work and excellent wifi
Things they need to do better. The kitchen needs a few more utensils, but in all fairness this was a brand new Airbnb and it is still getting established. We felt safe and enjoyed the privacy of this house. When you book here you will love your stay. We did!!!

House was perfect for us and the management team went out of their way to assist us! Our review would easily have been a full 5 stars but the lack of generator (with rolling blackouts) had us trapped at the property. Also, perhaps a bidet for the bathrooms would help, given that toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet.

The house was absolutely beautiful with unbelievable views of the mountains and the ocean. Gary, the concierge for the house, made our stay epic! Gary made all our reservations for the private excursions we requested to go on with the absolute best guides as well as made recommendations and reservations for restaurants, he checked in with us daily, was on call at anytime we had questions or needed assistance, he truly made our trip an exceptional one, and we made a friend in Costa Rica. I encourage anyone that stays in this home to tap into Gary, he is warm and friendly and super knowledgeable of the area and will have your best interest at heart.

We loved the house, it was perfect for our family of 11. We had a great time.
On arrival, there was a giant animal poop in the pool. They said they would see if they could get someone to come the next day. The pool guy finally arrived at 10am the next morning, which meant we couldn’t use the pool until noon.
The description is contradictory, in one place it says that you can get to the house in any kind of car and in another it says you need. 4×4. You need at least AWD and a car that is higher up off the road.
The dishwasher only works on Heavy Duty, the other settings don’t clean the dishes properly. We arrived to a dish washer full of dirty dishes that had to be hand washed before dinner.
Although the description of the house includes a butlers pantry, that door is locked and off limits.
The property managers were not at all helpful or responsive. Would return to the house, but would not rent again if they are involved.

Natalie, As advertised the home is next to the jungle and, on occasion, animals will defecate on/near the property and we are not available 24/7 to clean up after them. We are sorry for that. We notified the pool company as soon as you notified us of that. We contacted the cleaning company about the dishes. That is inexcusable and we are sorry for that. We offered to get whatever you needed from the Butler’s Pantry, and we will remove that from the description. I hope the lack of access didn’t ruin your trip as it is used as a storage area.

This property is nothing short of spectacular! Words cannot describe our awe when we arrived – the breath taking views, the modern, open space, that frames the beauty of nature in incredible ways. This is my favorite Airbnb I’ve EVER stayed in. The couch was super comfy, perfect for reading and relaxing. The kitchen was gorgeous and super functional – had everything we needed. The floor to ceiling windows ensure you miss nothing – we even caught incredible views of the resident coati searching for food one evening and another morning. The beds were incredible comfortable. We stayed here with another couple and it was great to have the privacy of the secondary building bedroom. And then there is the pool – perhaps the perfect pool. There are so many ledges to sit and read or watch the birds soaring below you and above you. We saw so many extraordinary birds. You will not regret staying here, unless you can’t handle some bugs. There were some that get inside, but they didn’t bother us.
