We loved the house, it was perfect for our family of 11. We had a great time.
On arrival, there was a giant animal poop in the pool. They said they would see if they could get someone to come the next day. The pool guy finally arrived at 10am the next morning, which meant we couldn’t use the pool until noon.
The description is contradictory, in one place it says that you can get to the house in any kind of car and in another it says you need. 4×4. You need at least AWD and a car that is higher up off the road.
The dishwasher only works on Heavy Duty, the other settings don’t clean the dishes properly. We arrived to a dish washer full of dirty dishes that had to be hand washed before dinner.
Although the description of the house includes a butlers pantry, that door is locked and off limits.
The property managers were not at all helpful or responsive. Would return to the house, but would not rent again if they are involved.

Natalie, As advertised the home is next to the jungle and, on occasion, animals will defecate on/near the property and we are not available 24/7 to clean up after them. We are sorry for that. We notified the pool company as soon as you notified us of that. We contacted the cleaning company about the dishes. That is inexcusable and we are sorry for that. We offered to get whatever you needed from the Butler’s Pantry, and we will remove that from the description. I hope the lack of access didn’t ruin your trip as it is used as a storage area.

FANTASTIC three week stay! This is our 4th trip to Costa Rica and this was a great choice for a large group. W e had new groups each week. The house is minimalist style and really spread out. The kitchen is large and wide open to the living area and pool area. The beds are comfortable and having 5 bathrooms was perfect. The Casita is separate and very private yet only a few steps away. Wifi worked great, washer/dryer were so helpful, and having a backup generator was great when the power went out. There were plenty of towels and dishes, although we did go buy wine glasses and cleaning supplies at the local store, along with extra garbage bags and paper towel. Just FYI. 4×4 car was required but I only put it on once during a storm. The space, the privacy, the location….all 10 stars. The management company helped with an in-house chef, in-house massages on the pool deck(!), and helping us hire the cleaning crew once/week to help. I will be back and ask for this house! PROS: layout of HOME/SPACIOUS rooms-even the bathrooms are large /ROOFTOP DECK views/PRIVATE LOCATION situated ideally between Dominical & Uvita, ANIMALS everywhere: toucans/howler monkeys often get close just right off decks in trees/even spotted the sloth in the tree off the deck/cute white gecko-creatures everywhere/even a JC lizard streaked across the pool, LOVED the soothing waterfall feature of pool CONS: driving in&out of driveway is tight if in a big vehicle, important TIP-be sure to open up ALL doors & windows for the best cros-ventilation or you’ll much prefer to stay in the air-conditioned rooms of house & in the pool (!)—-the only other con is that a full on view of ocean is only from rooftop deck (you get “peeks” of ocean from main level and pool)/a con for some: (Casa is conveniently located off main road-the jungle is so thick that I, myself, couldn’t hear anything at night except nature sounds), but my husband needed his earplugs claiming to hear occasional traffic at night without them. OVERALL WE LOVED OUR STAY-a TREMENDOUS VALUE

The house everything we needed and more. We planned to use it as a base while in the area but the sea views, the pool, the waterfall in the distance and the abundance of wildlife made us always rush to get back!

The property is surrounded by forest and has a beautiful view of the ocean. We awoke each morning to the sound of howler monkeys, and each evening the songs of toucans, Montezuma oropendolas, and other birds filled the air.

Tom and Christine of Jaguar Property Management were very helpful and responsive from the first time we contacted them through our final checkout. (Thank you!)

We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Pura Vida!

The only item to note is that the toilet in the master bedroom is not really “en suite”, but “in suite”; meaning, there is no door.

Magnificent contemporary home in an equally beautiful location. The top floor where I stayed has a breathtaking view, a large room with luxurious bed, a rainhead shower, a large terrace and it’s own private plunge pool. The furnishings and art in this home are not the typical vacation home throwaways. Every piece is beautiful and I would not be surprised to see this home in Architectural Digest. Infinity pool of course and with unobstructed views everywhere you look. Toucans, monkeys and a sloth will all be right there in the trees above you! Its extraordinary. this place is about breathtaking sunsets, laughter with friends, cooking together and making fond memories. I truly cannot wait to go back.

Great stay, great house, exactly how we wanted it, very peaceful and quiet. Great house and would definitely stay again. The hosts were very proactive and responsive.
