We loved most everything about this place, it was a great place to just get away and relax. It is very private and beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as a BBQ. It was also great to be able to wash and dry our clothes. We also got to witness a mom sitting on her eggs and she had 3 little chicks following her around. I do recommend that AC and a second lounge chair by the pool would be great additions, as it is quite warm. We would definitely return.

Das Haus ist, wie beschrieben, sehr abgeschottet im Wald. Man hat viel Privatsphäre. Für die Anfahrt braucht man, wie beschrieben, ein Fahrzeug mit Allrad Antrieb. Uns hat der Willkommenskorb mit den Früchten super geschmeckt.

The house itself was ok. There was only place to eat for 3 people which was a problem for us as a family of 4. But it was quite well equipped. It was more than a 5 minute walk to the beach but it was convenient to many places in Uvita.
Our biggest problem was with the property management company. They were absolutely unresponsive to problems we had and when/if they did respond it was to let us know that nobody else had problems so it must have been just us. The master bath has some plumbing issues – standing water, immensely slow shower drain and as a result there was a massive mosquito infestation in the master bath. We killed a minimum of 30-40 mosquitos in the bathroom on a daily basis. We reached out to property management to let them know and never heard back. If I could offer advice, find a different management company to use that may be actually respond to issues.

When you contacted us about how your son was bitten by a spider on tour, we immediately sent you the location of the nearest medical center in relation to where you were. In addition, we asked if there was anything else we could do to help. We told you, “Call us if you need help on translation” [hospital] and you responded, “Great.” Regarding the mosquito issue: You contacted us on Sunday, December 26, at 5:27 pm and we responded at 5:52 pm. That evening (the same day – within hours of being contacted by you) a Property Manager visited the property to ascertain the situation and to resolve it. After the property manager left, you never contacted us again for the remainder of your trip. The day before check-out, we sent you a message wishing you a “Hope you are enjoying your stay” and you never responded. We provided you with quick service, and we apologized for the situation you encountered.

Our stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The location was definitely a highlight, offering easy access to the beach. Check-in was also a breeze, which was a welcome start to our stay.However, there were several maintenance issues that impacted our experience. We encountered a problem with the oven display not working, and while maintenance did come to address it once, the issue wasn’t fully resolved. Additionally, the refrigerator filter clearly needed changing, but this was never taken care of during our stay. We also had initial trouble with the washing machine, which only started working after we ran a full cycle, seemingly resetting it.Beyond the in-room issues, the elevator was out of service for the duration of our visit. This was particularly inconvenient as our room was located on the third floor, a detail that was not mentioned in the hotel’s advertisement. Finally, the hotel listing indicated a private pool, which was not available.While the location and check-in were positive aspects, the unresolved maintenance issues, the non-functioning elevator (especially given our third-floor room and the lack of prior notice), and the inaccurate information regarding the private pool detracted significantly from our overall experience.

The house was great. Loved the space. Sadly the WiFi did not work but that was beyond their control as something had effected the power station that puts off the WiFi Signal in the neighborhood. The hot water also was not working because the tank was empty but once it was fixed it was fine. But it was great that they had maintenance on it to resolve it. Everything else was perfect. Thank you
