We Love the place!

The house was perfection. What a gorgeous setting. The layout was perfect for us, two couples. We had plenty of privacy and enjoyed each others company in the living room, kitchen and back deck. The pool was lovely and there were three separate seating areas outside. We loved it!

Muy cómodo el alojamiento, limpio, de fácil ingreso y con piscina, muy cerca de la playa.

Excelente ubicacion, se puede ir caminando al Parque Nacional al sector de playa chaman, de las mejores playas de la zona. Muy seguro para ir con su mascota. La cocina muy completa con todos sus utensilios y todo funciona correctamente. La piscina esta perfecta. Excelente comunicacion, siempre atentos a que todo estuviera en orden. Todo estuvo super bien.

View of the house and amenities were good.Our checkin was not easy, we were told that if we arrive between 8-10pm there is an additional $50cash fee and check in after 10pm was not an option!We were traveling from another city and asked for waiving the extra fee if we arrived at 9pm and were told no!
We had to meet in a gas station and drive for another 10-15 minutes uphill following a guy to the house which made us skip dinner to make it before 8pm only to find out that they key that the guy had was not opening the door and had to drive back down go eat and then drive back up again while waiting.
After all of this we got into the house around 11pm and the house alarm went off and there was no instructions to turn it off and when contacted the host they told us there was smoke detection without any apology (nobody had smoked). We were only there for 2 nights and all of this was our first night experience. Drive up to the house is not an easy one either. Overall not a great experience.

Sara, The listing clearly indicates the time of arrival and that if a Guest chooses to arrive after the normal arrival times (3 pm – 8:30 pm) there is an additional fee. In terms of arrival times, we send every Guest the location to meet an Osa Property Management / Costa Rica Las Villas Representative so we can escort you up to the home. This was sent to you several times, including on the day of check-in. You chose to ignore those instructions. Additionally, the listing clearly states our check-in times and the additional ‘late-check-in-fee’. We also ask every Guest at least twice to verify their arrival time to ensure everyone is aware of the process. We encourage all of our Guests to read the information about this amazing property (and all of the others we manage) before booking so there are no surprises. Potential Guests can feel free to send us any questions they may have prior to booking. Unfortunately, you failed to either read the listing information, or you knowingly ignored the information. Our cigarette smoke detector was triggered during your time in the house. We do not allow smoking in any property we manage you violated that rule.

Casa Big Sky is advertised as having ocean view, well, it doesn’t have. It is advertised being a five minute walk from the beach, count for 10-15
It is located directly at the road, therefore noisy
All the rest is perfect, interior design, equipment of the kitchen, very clean and very friendly local staff

Super schönes Haus in den Ridges of Potalon, man kann rund ums Haus Kolibris, Tukane, Aras und viele andere Tiere beobachten. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist super, wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern dort und haben nichts vermisst. Auch liegen schöne Strände in nächster Umgebung und Ausflugsziele wie der Manuel Antonio Nationalpark oder die Nauyaca Wasserfälle sind in 45 Minuten erreichbar.

The property was beautiful. This is a perfect property for a family. It’s situated far enough from noise pollution and close enough to get in some trouble at night ;). The grounds are exactly what you dream of Costa Rica looking like. Monkeys in the morning, colorful birds/lizards in the afternoon, and frogs calling at night. Awesome!

Our overall impression: cute property, older but well kept. A few things were worth noting.

1. The road noise can be bothersome at night considering there is no air conditioner so there is no way to shut out traffic noise.
2. very hard mattresses and pillows. We slept on camping gear we put on top of the mattress to make it a bit more comfortable.
3. Impossible to regulate the cold/hot water-it is an extreme of either one.
3. The rooster next door seems to have not gotten the message about crowing only at daybreak. He starts about 3:30-4:15 each morning-again no way to dampen the noise as the windows must stay open. Of course, there is probably little that can be done about that!

Overall the house was clean and conveniently located. The management company is super responsive and we enjoyed our stay. Dog friendly is a definite plus.
