The stay at Casa Ballena was incredible! I stayed with three small kids and the accommodations were amazing! The queen size bunk beds were a real treat for the kids. The private beach access was amazing with beautiful views and the pool was a great way to refresh at high tide. It felt really safe and secure with 24-hour gated security. The amenities in the unit were great and the kitchen is amazing. I love waking up to the howler monkeys and the rainforest coming alive. You are located near all the best restaurants, and the vibe is on point. If you are looking for a place to stay, go no further!

Nous avons vécu une mauvaise expérience dans ce logement Dès notre arrivée on nous indique que malheureusement il n’y a pas de wifi dû à une coupure d’électricité . On accepte car cela peut arriver Le lendemain coupure générale d’électricité et d’eau jusqu’à notre départ du lendemain ! Nous n’avons donc pas pu nous laver , faire chauffer quoi que ce soit , ni aller aux toilettes car plus d’eau dans la chasse d’eau et tout ça dans le noir …. Malgré notre demande de dédommagement d’une nuit et cela depuis 15 jours , nous n’avons eu aucune réponse à cette demande Même si la coupure d’eau et d’électricité n’est pas imputable à l’hôte, ce n’est pas notre faute non plus … Pas professionnel du tout

We absolutely loved this home. The photos do not do it justice at all. It was a beautiful home to stay in, with plenty of space. This was our third time in Costa Rica, and this was the best place we’ve stayed. The only thing I would mention is that it rained pretty hard one night, and the power frequently goes out when that happens. That’s understandable. However, the security gates in and out of the property lost power, and we could not get in or out because of that for about 2 hours. Lastly, the hills to and from the property are definitely a lot steeper, and require a 4×4, as stated in the description. You can use a 4×2, but we did get a flat tire using our SUV. However, regardless of those details, this place is highly recommended, and the property did everything they could to fix and make right any issues we had. We would absolutely stay here again and again!

Truly amazing stay! The location is great, secluded from the rest of the apartments, enough privacy and beautiful views! Yes, there are stairs – a lot of them and quite steep but that comes with the price of waking up in a secluded paradise! Didn’t mind that at all. The apartment, location and sound of jungle were 100% worth it. Driving distance to the town with great brewery, restaurants and about an hour drive to beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park. Highly recommend this apartment! Perfect as a base for exploring the area too.

The location is unbeatable. Steep drive up the mountain estates yields all the benefits. The view is unmatched. It sits in the middle of the rainforest near Tarcoles and has so much wildlife around it, we were astounded! A Tayra right next to the swimming pool one morning (a rare site for mammal lovers), many red macaws flying around the house all the time, toucan, a bird watcher’s dream! All the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Our group was well taken care of by Osa Property Management from beginning to end. Near Jaco for grocery runs if necessary. Great location for daily outings of all kinds. Super bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, and common area! Laundry facilities, so we could reuse clothing and not pack as much. I can’t stop raving about Casa Majestica. My best experience in Central America to date!

Our thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful villa with us for three weeks. The layout with a main master bedroom and two offices suited our work-vacation style perfectly. If we had had other guests, the two separate bedrooms would have been an ideal configuration. The pool was the highlight, however, as the hours we spent there were a great health bonus. The landscaping is lovely and the house was very clean upon arrival. And, it is easy to keep clean. Special thanks to Osa Property Management who were very responsive in addressing any small matters (we can always expect on a longer stay that there will be small issues), and the staff were always helpful with information. We enjoyed the many restaurants of Ojochal and the early morning calls of the howlers. Casa Rosa Blanca would be our choice for our next visit, and hope to be back soon.

Amazing property! Beautiful views, comfortable and exquisite the core. This property is exceptional! Very comfortable for cooking, hanging out, or just relaxation and peace. Definitely worth every penny!

Villa Peninsula is undeniably beautiful. The view of the Ojochal hills is stunning, the bedrooms are spacious with large closets, and the landscaping is top-tier. The 270-degree wraparound deck immerses you in the surrounding jungle. Unfortunately, the management left a lot to be desired. From the start, we were asked to pay a $15 non-refundable Truvi security check fee—which felt unnecessary and was only removed after I challenged it. The lack of attention to detail and responsiveness added unnecessary frustration to our stay. Power outages occurred more than once. The security alarm went off randomly.. The dishwasher was leaking. Several light switches didn’t function correctly. The porch lights were extremely dim, and floodlight didn’t work at all. Customer service and responsiveness from the host were disappointing. Most frustratingly, the listing said no 4×4 required, which was flat-out misleading. The 2km dirt road was challenging. It’s a shame. This house has so much potential.

La casa tiene una ubicación muy conveniente, cerca del centro de Uvita. La comunicación y respuesta de la persona anfitriona fue excelente. El lugar es tranquilo y tiene una vista muy bonita a un bosque que es visitado por monos y pájaros. La casa no es muy amplia y el equipamiento de la cocina es elemental/pobre. La relación precio-calidad no es buena. La decoración muy básica, la piscina es totalmente independiente de la casa (no está integrada) y se comunica por unas gradas externas. En la zona de la piscina no hay baño ni un lugar para tomar agua, tampoco una mesa que permita consumir alimentos o bebidas. You’re correct about there not being bathroom next to the swimming pool. During your stay you made no mention of any inconveniences and, in fact, thanked us for bringing you a kitchen amenity you requested. We wish you the best in the future. Pura vida!
