Casa De Pastores was in the most ideal location possible for our family vacay to Uvita Costa Rica! Just a short walk uphill is a gorgeous waterfall/swimming hole/butterfly garden, down the road are amazing restaurants, excursion start points, shops and a grocery store. Minutes from some of the most gorgeous beaches I’ve ever seen! The house was well equipped, felt incredibly clean, and had everything you might need to go tooling around town. The bunk bed had a hidden third trundle bed that we didn’t even realize existed before we arrived, and the outdoorish shower/tub was so cool! The pool was well kept and a wonderful way to wind down from the adventures of the day. We felt incredibly safe with the security features of the house, and the hosts were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We’re already dreaming of returning to Casa De Pastores as our home base for the next adventure!

We had such a great time, the house was super beautiful, very roomy too. And they went all out with the AC units. The house is in a great location, super peaceful. Lots of macaws flying over the property. We will be coming back.

My group of friends and I came to Jaco to learn how to surf and Launa’s place served as one of the best locations to do so. We had direct access to the beach that were lined with board rental tents. The house is located in a gated community with a gym and cafe close by. Launa was great at communicating and ensuring we had an amazing stay.

This home is beautiful. Located at the top of a mountain, the drive is steep (must have a 4×4!!) but doable (even in the night/rain). Breathtaking rain forest views!! Like nothing I’ve ever seen. The pool is amazing. Kitchen is amazing. Every bedroom in the home is a beautiful master bedroom with nice bathrooms and beautiful view. Note – rooms are very separated in the home, accessible by separate staircase. Great for a group of adults wanting some gathering and some privacy. We had wildlife visit right at our windows… 2 kinds of Monkeys, Macaws, a Toucan and of course the Sloth liked to hang in the tree above the pool. Lots to do in the area. Quick 5 min drive to Manuel Antonio or to Quepos where you can find anything you need. Had the most amazing dinner at Mangata! Went on a fabulous 10 in 1 rainforest tour with Amigos Del Rio, they picked us up right from the home! Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely gorgeous house and surroundings. Loved having a pool and a private waterfall. Very attentive and kind host. This place is just lovely and awsome!

We loved most everything about this place, it was a great place to just get away and relax. It is very private and beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as a BBQ. It was also great to be able to wash and dry our clothes. We also got to witness a mom sitting on her eggs and she had 3 little chicks following her around. I do recommend that AC and a second lounge chair by the pool would be great additions, as it is quite warm. We would definitely return.

The place was great. The Host was wonderful. We arrived a bit late and they helped us find the entrance. We had a small pool problem and that same day they sent someone to fix it right away. We will definitely visit again

One of the better locations in that area and beautiful views from the room or private pool. Shout out to the hard working and badass cleaning crew.
