Sehr schönes Haus. Sehr komfortabel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kolibris schwirrten jeden Morgen vor der Terrasse. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es ist eine ganz wunderbare Unterkunft. Abgelegen und umgeben von wunderschönen Pflanzen und sehr vielen Tieren. Für Stadtkinder ist es aufjedenfall eine Herausforderung, insbesondere bei dem ersten Stromausfall in der Nacht, aber man gewöhnt sich schnell an die schöne Natur. Es sind einige Tiere – wie Geckos – im Haus. Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist etwas sperrig, neben einem Allradwagen wird auch ein höheres Fahrzeug benötigt. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. We had 9 people staying on the property, and had more than ample space. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are amazing and so is the wildlife. We would see reptiles, insects, multiple birds and much more. It exceeded our expectations! We hope to return to the property and enjoy more of what Costa Rica has to offer. House and property exactly as described. Worked great for us and the location. Only problem we had was lack of hot water in mornings..
We arrived late but Jeremy gave us the info required.

El Rey de Portalón villa is absolutely breathtaking. This is definitely the most stunning and magical villa we’ve ever stayed in. Surrounded by jungle, with layers of mountains, and breathtaking ocean views spanning the entire front/sides of the house! The saltwater pool and waterfall are so refreshing and peaceful! Tastefully furnished with super comfy beds, nice hot showers and excellent internet access. The kitchen is a chef’s dream! We hired private Chef Mario one night and the dinner he made was five-star. We highly recommend him! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Butterflies surround the house while seeing toucans and parrots nearly every day—with a few surprise visits from a coati—was magical. The drive up the road in our 4×4 was a piece of cake! We will definitely come back with our family next time! Siempre soñé con quedarme en una de las casas tradicionales de la época de la bananera y he quedado muy satisfecha. La casa es muy hermosa; amplia, limpia y de muy buen gusto. Siempre al inicio debe uno adaptarse a la casa pero cuando se requirió de apoyo siempre estuvieron atentos a resolverlo!! Espero regresar en alguna momento!

Everything about this Ojochal home was perfect. My husband and I loved every moment. Warm pool, beauty view, immaculately clean, great kitchen for preparing meals but also close to many delicious restaurants and grocery shops. Citrus, Halyconia, Mosaic, Las Alturras were some of our favourites. Also short drive to Playa Tortuga and Playa Ballena. Don’t hesitate to book this great home! Super hosts Tom and Christine helped us with all our questions. Could not have been a better experience!

Everything was perfect! It was quite the adventure to get there up the mountain! 4×4 required for sure! Hard to communicate via online messages only. And just wished they would’ve replaced three of the 5 broken chairs on the patio. Clean house and big home.
