Welcome to Casa Rana Verde, a spectacular private paradise in Ojochal, Costa Rica. This beautiful, secluded, 3-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home is nestled into the jungle hillside at the end of a gated, private driveway lined with fruit trees, banana plants, coconut palms and bamboo hedges. 

As you approach the house, the wonder of the ocean and jungle canopy views unfold before you, stretching out below the large outdoor terrace that encircles most of the house. There is covered parking for three vehicles. To help you feel right at home, Casa Rana Verde has keyless locks and easy self check-in. 

Casa Rana Verde is the perfect Costa Rican vacation home with air-conditioned bedrooms and living space, indoor and outdoor kitchens, highspeed Starlink internet, reliable cell service, an infinity edge pool, and three levels of terraces. You will enjoy exclusive use of the entire two-acre property, which is also home to monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, toucans, hummingbirds, and coatis. Guests are welcome to enjoy the seasonal fruit growing on the property, such as avocados, bananas, mandarins, starfruit, and pineapples.

The home is located only five minutes off the main highway, within 10 minutes of several beautiful beaches and some of Costa Rica’s finest restaurants.

The infinity pool is part of the outdoor living space and is a refreshing way to cool off after a day at the beach, hiking in the jungle, or enjoying one of the many exciting excursions in the area. In addition to the pool, there is an outdoor kitchen, gas grill, ample comfortable seating, and an outdoor shower. Soak in the pool or relax in one of the hammocks while you marvel at the expansive views of the ocean and fiery sunsets.

The main outdoor terrace is graced by a grand, Guanacaste wood table that seats eight, and oversized comfortable chairs and couches. Ceiling fans and ocean breezes ensure comfort even on the warmest days. With multiple terraces there is plenty of space for guests to spread out. Originally designed as a three-unit dwelling, the house is ideal for multi-generational families, parents with adult children, or several couples.

The main level has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, ensuite bedroom, and a bodega where you will find a washer and dryer, beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards, and pool toys. The living room features a comfortable couch, a sofa bed, and a TV that connects to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and other streaming services.

The second floor, accessed by a grand, outdoor tiled stairway leads to a shared deck with separate doors for two suites. Each bedroom has air conditioning, a Queen bed, work desk, and an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. The upstairs bedrooms share a large, covered terrace above the pool with expansive ocean views, comfortable
outdoor seating, and an outdoor kitchenette.

The lowest level of the house has an outdoor, blue tiled shower facing the jungle, a bathroom, and a small terrace to enjoy morning coffee or evening sunsets.

This home is located in the wonderful town of Ojochal and just down the road from a new exercise and fitness center (free weights, machines, lap pool, classes = extra entrance fee required).

After breakfast, enjoy an invigorating stroll on Calle Perezoso, a four-mile loop street, that meanders through dappled shade, hills, and sunny areas, with views of the ocean to the west and the rugged Talamanca Mountains to the east. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with friendly neighbors and a peaceful vibe. This loop is a great way to get exercise, enjoy nature and birdwatching and take in the changing views as you climb further into the hills and then descend toward the main highway. This hike will take you on a small stretch of the coastal highway, a safe route that will return you to the entrance to Ojochal.

Ojochal is known as an international destination for world-class restaurants, and you will be thrilled to explore the different cuisines, including local specialties, fresh seafood, Asian fusion, Mediterranean, European, and Middle Eastern flavors. These restaurants are nestled in peaceful settings, and you will be delighted to see that this quiet town full of wildlife also boasts more than twenty diverse restaurants right in town. Each serves delicious food, many with evening live entertainment. There are five restaurants on Calle Perezoso alone.

Costa Rica’s Southern Zone extends from Dominical to the Osa Peninsual and is a special place where , the mountains come right down to the ocean, and there are many spectacular rivers, waterfalls and mountain hikes. Several beautiful waterfalls in Ojochal and Uvita are easily accessible with a short walk from the parking areas. A visit to the Nauyaca Waterfalls about thirty minutes from Ojochal should not be missed. Swimming in these waterfalls is divine; Catarata Uvita even has a natural slide that you can use to plummet into the pool below. Seven beaches are within a short drive; the closest, Playa Tortuga is
just a five-minute drive from the house. Each beach has a different vibe; some are undeveloped and attract only small numbers of tourists and Ticos. Others are bustling with locals and tourists alike. The beaches of Dominical are famous for their surfing and lively beach scene with bars, restaurants, local artisans, and vendors right at the beach. All the beaches are amazing places to see birds, monkeys, and the gorgeous sunsets this area is famous for.

Ojochal is just north of the Osa Peninsula. From here, you can arrange day trips to Corcovado National Park, Terraba Sierpe Wetlands, Cano Island for snorkeling and dolphin watching, the Costa Ballena National Park, zip lining, horseback riding, ATV tours and more.

internet is available throughout, and cell phone service is available and reliable. On the main level is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need to prepare meals and snacks.

The kitchen looks out on the garden and front entrance. A wide bar area is perfect for eating, and seats
four people. The home is designed for outdoor living with the main dining table on the terrace and
other smaller tables on the upper and lower terraces

The living room features two comfortable couches and a TV that connects to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon
Prime and other streaming services. A main level bedroom has air conditioning, a Queen bed and an
ensuite bathroom with walk-inshower.

The second floor, accessed by a grand, outdoor tiled stairway leads to a shared deck with separate doors for the two second floor bedrooms. Each bedroom has air conditioning, a Queen bed, work desk, and an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. Hair dryers can be found in each bathroom. The upstairs
bedrooms share a large, covered terrace above the pool with expansive ocean views, and outdoor
seating. There is an outdoor kitchenette protected g with a sink, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator,
toaster, and kitchenware, perfect for preparing breakfast, drinks, or snacks. The ocean-side bedroom
features an additional private terrace that looks out over the jungle canopy.

The lowest level of the house is a private office with a large worktable, ensuite bathroom, and screened
windows. This bonus room is perfect for getting away to attend a work meeting, answer emails, play
with the kids, or work on a puzzle together. This room has an outdoor, blue-tiled shower facing the
privacy of the jungle.

A 4x4 vehicle is required to access Casa Rana Verde.
The area does not have UBER and private taxis are not always available.
