Muy muy muy privado! Breathtaking views of the ocean in an ultra private setting. The stairs from parking to the villa and back are no joke—very steep and lots of them. But it’s totally worth it for this villa. We fell in love with this place—the location can’t be beat. At this price, the amenities are tough to beat: VIEW, pool, washer/dryer, and kitchen. The entire villa has a glass wall overlooking the ocean. 5 STARS and definitely recommend!

Thank you so much, Samara, for the absolutely glowing 5-star review! Muy muy muy privado indeed — and we couldn’t agree more! 😄 We’re so thrilled to hear that Esquinitas in Dominical swept you off your feet with that breathtaking ocean view through the glass wall, the ultra private setting, the pool, the washer/dryer, and the fully equipped kitchen all at an unbeatable value. You are absolutely right about those stairs — they are no joke and quite the workout — but as you perfectly put it, totally worth it for what awaits at the bottom! We love that you fell in love with this place and we will absolutely hold you to a return visit. Amazing stay, beautiful view of the ocean, very clean and just like the pictures. The hosts were very helpful and very quick to respond. The only small issue was no iron machine as written, but overall it was one of my best Airbnb experiences ever!

If you are looking for a private space surrounded by nature and with incredible ocean views, then this is the perfect stay for you! The pool and views were incredible, and the property as a whole was extremely clean. The team was extremely responsive and helpful the entire time, even checking in throughout our stay. The in-unit laundry was a huge plus given that we were near the tail end of our trip. This was not an issue for us, but note that there are many steps to get to the unit from the parking area as the property is on a steep hill. Overall, highly recommend this property and already looking forward to our next stay!

Wonderful stay! Osa Management is incredibly responsive! We asked for a clothes drying and dish drying rack, and the next day we had them. The view is priceless, the bed very comfortable, and the small pool was perfect at sunset. There are occasional power outages due to work nearby, but they are quite short. Yes, there are many steps down to the villa and back up where you park the car, but the steps are worth the peace and view!
Response:
Thank you so much, Sara, for the wonderful 5-star review! We're so glad to hear our team's responsiveness stood out — getting you that drying rack the very next day is exactly the kind of attentive service we strive for with every guest.
It's also great to hear the view, the comfortable bed, and that perfect sunset by the pool made Esquinitas such a special experience.
We appreciate you graciously mentioning the occasional power outages and the steps down to the villa — your positive perspective on both is a great reminder to future guests that the peace and views at the end of it all are absolutely worth it!

Response:
Thank you so much, Clémentine, for the beautiful 5-star review! We're so thrilled to hear that your three nights at Esquinitas were truly amazing — waking up to the ocean view from a king-size bed, watching the sunsets, spotting wildlife, and enjoying that perfectly private pool sounds like the ideal Costa Rica escape. We're also glad the little extras like the washing machine and dryer made your stay even more comfortable! And we couldn't agree more — Pura Vida! 🌿 Thank you for the helpful reminder about the steep access and 4x4 requirement for future guests. The house is even better than the photos! This stay offered the most incredible sunset views we’ve ever experienced, plus a nice little pool and local wildlife. The house is top-tier: a huge, comfy bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and laundry machines.
The property management team was highly professional and communication was seamless.
Note: The drive is steep and there are many stairs. It’s a workout in the sun even for fit people, but the reward at the top is 100% worth it. Highly recommended!
Response:

Very beautiful property! I felt very safe (2 gates to enter + a security guard) and it was very private and peaceful. The view is stunning and looks even better than photos. Hosts were amazing & very responsive.
My BIGGEST issue and reason for 4 stars instead of 5: THE LIZARDS! I understand this comes with the territory, but there were 4 lizards in the unit my entire stay! I wouldn’t mention this, except that there was a huge rip in the screen that I didn’t notice until day 2. Had I known, I would have kept the glass closed the entire time! The pool attracts bugs and lizards, so I don’t mind seeing them outside but properly sealing the entrances would help keep them out.
Also, ALL of the towels had stains on them. The white towels as well as the beach towels.
The location is up in the hills, which I liked. I had a rental car so it was perfect, but walking may be a challenge if you’re looking to get food or do some shopping since it’s quite a hike to nearby restaurants/ supermarket.
Response:
We're sorry you didn't have a 4-star stay Colby. You never mentioned any of this issues while you were with us - please let your Host know if there's ever anything we can do to help. In terms of lizards, I'm assuming you mean geckos. Those are quite common in Costa Rica - especially for homes like this that are embedded in the jungle. In terms of the towels - we are very sorry about that. We would have definitely replaced those had you mentioned something - we will talk this over with our cleaning crew. Pura Vida

We loved our stay here - you can’t beat the view. It is private and hidden away in a gated community, and the directions on how to get there are super clear. The supermarket and restaurants in Dominical are less than a 5 min drive away. We were welcomed with fresh local fruit upon arrival. The flat was clean and the interior was to a high standard, the bed in particular was very comfy. There was a helpful guidebook for the property. We’d definitely come back!

Nous avons passé 3 nuits exceptionnelles. Tout était très propre, le lit est très grand et très confortable. La piscine est idéale et la vue à couper le souffle, on voit directement les vagues qui se jettent sur le sable et on est bercé par le bruit des vagues. Great place to stay! My girlfriend and I enjoyed and liked it a ton! We were surprised with fresh fruits on the table… this was really a nice surprise and appreciated as we felt welcomed.
The facilities and amenities of the house are outstanding! We even took advantage to workout by going up and down few times in the stairs!
One opportunity is to provide a more friendly description of which entry needs to be used to enter into the property… the location provided by message took us (Waze) to the entry of another property so the code did not work because we were in the wrong gate, that was a bit confusing considering we were not having good connection to access the tutorial.

Truly amazing stay! The location is great, secluded from the rest of the apartments, enough privacy and beautiful views! Yes, there are stairs - a lot of them and quite steep but that comes with the price of waking up in a secluded paradise! Didn’t mind that at all. The apartment, location and sound of jungle were 100% worth it. Driving distance to the town with great brewery, restaurants and about an hour drive to beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park. Highly recommend this apartment! Perfect as a base for exploring the area too.

Insgesamt ein perfektes Erlebnis – wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Such a gorgeous little getaway! Private and perfect with a wonderful ocean sunset view. OSA was quick to respond to any questions or needs we had. Property was clean and well maintained. Private pool was wonderful. Easy to access nearby towns and good place to base from for exploring the area. Quick drive to Dominical from rental. Lots of stairs down to access the property as described in the info so be sure to be prepared for that. Will definitely be returning.

Nice apartment with sea view. Very secluded and clean. Be aware to take some steps to access the property. In addition the furniture and equipment could need some update and is not the newest. Nevertheless we appreciated our stay - the host is very responsive and helpful.

The property was amazing, everything was beautiful from the view to the cleanliness of the house. The only reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star is because of the amount of stairs to get to the house. It was about 100 stairs, so it was a task carrying luggage, groceries, and just the commute coming and going to access the property. Maybe make a lift gate or something to make it easier for luggage and grocery purposes . So besides the stairs I really enjoyed my stay
Response:
Joshua - thanks for taking the time to leave a review. However, the property description clearly indicates the exact number of stairs required so it is too bad you left a 4-star review when you knew in advance what to expect. For future stays, please be sure to read the information in the listing as it is unfair to be penalized as a Host for a Guests unwillingness to read the property description.

This place is absolutely incredible! Exactly like in the photos, the surroundings are stunning - if you’re looking for a true Costa Rican nature immersion in the area, hugged by the jungle overlooking the ocean, this is it 🌴☀️ the property was clean and well looked after, modern and equipped. The bed is huge and the views from both the bedroom and living space are so beautiful, we couldn’t get enough of them. I usually get bit like crazy, but because of the elevation, there were no mosquitos at all - and we visited during rainy season. The management company has been helpful and responsive and made sure we had a wonderful stay. This is my new go-to for rentals in Dominical. Highly recommend!! 🙌
