Attention toutefois à ne pas négliger l’arrivée au Air bnb : la route est une piste rocailleuse avec une très forte pente, avec des virages importants. N’envisagez pas d’y arriver de nuit et 4×4 obligatoire bien sûr, mais malgré ça, la route est difficile.
Mais on l’oublie vite une fois sur la terrasse 😉.

Honu Iki Casita ofrece una experiencia auténtica de conexión con la naturaleza. La propiedad es luminosa, ventilada y cómoda, ideal para descansar y desconectarse. La piscina tiene una vista preciosa, y dormir con los sonidos del bosque fue un verdadero privilegio. Durante la estancia vimos y escuchamos monos, además de guatusas y muchas aves. La ubicación es estratégica, cercana a playas y parques nacionales (Marino Ballena y Manuel Antonio entre otros), con excelente oferta gastronómica, y permite escaparse de compras a Golfito o Paso Canoas con solo 2 h de manejo. Además, el entorno transmite paz y armonía, ideal para quienes buscan una pausa del ruido citadino. El equipo anfitrión fue atento y profesional en todo momento, con comunicación clara, seguimiento oportuno y actitud proactiva. Como anfitrión, valoro profundamente ese nivel de dedicación. El detalle de bienvenida con frutas frescas fue un gesto sencillo pero muy apreciado. Volvería sin dudarlo. ¡Pura vida!

The home is very remote and directions were not completely accurate. I’d recommend arriving in daylight to avoid losing your way. Better landmarks would have been helpful as the ones identified in the guide were never located. The home is stunning, surrounded by nature with monkies and birds galore. The pool is also wonderful. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in nature.

We had a fantastic stay. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We loved sitting on the balcony looking out at the trees. We saw beautiful birds, howler monkeys and white faced monkeys. The communication was great. We had no complaints. We highly recommend this place for your trip to Uvita.

We could only stay 1 night. There was an issue with the water pump that could not be fixed because of the Easter holiday. They refunded our stay without issue.

Our stay was spectacular. Everything was extremely clean, and as described in the listing and photos. The host was easy to get in contact with and communicated at our arrival late at night. The place is difficult to find in the dark, and would recommend a day time check in. Photos were provided for directions, however we still had difficulty due to time of day. My only suggestion for directions would be to indicate that there is a wooden property directly infront and this listing is to the left once through the gate.
Our only complaint was the hot water tank was broken on arrival, and there was a leak upon inspecting. It was fixed day 2, however someone needed to come the next day and replace the whole tank. Between it being replaced, the hot water was inconsistent and would not last for a 5 minute shower. Someone came and replaced it, however 2 of 3 nights was without consistent hot water.
Overall, we were extremely happy and would stay at this property again.

Près du centre de Uvita, des épiceries, des plages et de parcs nationaux.
Excellent emplacement pour visiter la région au alentour.
Hôte très réactif, nous avons eu un problème d'eau chaude et ils ont fait leur possible pour régler le problème le plus rapidement possible.

Our stay at the Honu Iki Casita was nothing short of perfection! Nestled in the lush jungle hills of Uvita, this stunning home provided the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience—just minutes from town and breathtaking beaches.
The house itself is beautifully designed with an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows, and gorgeous jungle views that made us feel truly immersed in nature while enjoying all the modern comforts of home. The Owner’s Suite was a dream with its vaulted ceilings, en-suite bathroom, and access to a private patio.
A huge highlight was the private swimming pool, a new addition that made our stay even more special.
One of the most thoughtful touches was the fresh fruit and the beautiful flower left on the table upon our arrival—it was such a warm and welcoming gesture that made us feel right at home.
We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Beautiful stay! Would definitely recommend. We had a great time and the host was very responsive and helpful leading up to our stay and during. Would echo other reviews for the need for a 4x4 car but we got the hang of it easily. Uvita is beautiful and this was the perfect stay. We used the pool and found the place exactly like the photos. Can’t speak highly enough about the experience! Had absolutely no issues during our stay. We saw 2 different types of monkeys and toucans from the balcony and enjoyed watching the nature around us. Would book with them again!

Le véritable point fort de ce lieu est son cadre idyllique : un environnement calme et apaisant et des équipements parfaits pour une déconnexion totale. La piscine et le balcon offrent une vue magnifique sur la nature 💚

This was a great place for a get away. The house is beautiful, private in the middle of nature. I definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Uvita. just make sure you got a 4x4. it's necessary, there is a very long and steep hill to get to the Airbnb

The property is really secluded and as has been said by others, you MUST have a 4x4 vehicle - not AWD and the property manager had us meet at her at the office and she lead us to the property. The cleaning lady was leaving as we were arriving and both the manager and cleaning lady were very sweet and helpful. It's right in the center of the rainforest with floor to ceiling windows. We were visited by every single giant sized insect that existed, but they didn't actually bother us. We could hear the howler monkeys, but never saw them as much as we wished we had. The house has a lot of stairs to enter, but well worth it. The house was a great size, was as beautiful as the pictures and was well stocked with everything we would need. I would highly recommend getting everything you might want to cook or snack on before going to the house because it's quite the adventure to get to.
Amazing place
We've stayed at a lot of VRBO residences and this might have been the best of them all. It's legit that you're truly immersed in the middle of the rainforest - secluded and so peaceful.
Just be sure to pay attention to the need for a 4x4 vehicle. That's very legit. But if you have one, you'll be fine.

This was a great home with wildlife everywhere. Huge walls of glass overlooking the jungle and a great outdoor space to hear and see some animals/birds. About 5 minutes from Uvita and some restaurants, coffee shops. Definitely need a 4x4 but the drive is simple. Another great experience with Osa Property Management
Perfect house in jungle, Highly Recommend!
Best parts of the house:
Jungle adventure driving to and from the property.
The full wall of windows and porch gives spectacular views of the trees.
Morning wake up calls from the howler monkeys.
Lack of bugs in the home 🙂 very clean
Isolation, far enough away from the city to v be avoid all noise and passers by but close enough to have everything you need within 10 minutes.
Variety of wildlife seen from the house/porch. Howler monkeys, Spider monkeys, Agouti, frogs and toads, Toucans, and other birds.
Perfect Jungle Home
We loved the short 4x4 jungle adventure driving to and from the home into Uvita. Daily Monkey sightings, tucans, Frogs and other birds was a bonus. Home was clean and bug free. Close to everything that we needed/wanted.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing this place was! We spent two nights here and wished we could have spent a whole month at Honu Iki Casita! The property was beautiful and super clean. It had air conditioning units in every room so we could easily regulate the room temperatures. Both bathrooms have large walk-in stone showers and plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean and fresh. We loved how they thought of every little thing we might need. We took a trip to the beach and they had beach towels and mats, which we didn't think to pack.
There is a recommendation/requirement that a vehicle with 4-wheel drive is needed and we absolutely agree with that requirement! We appreciated that we met at the OSA Property office and then followed someone to the property as we would probably have gotten lost trying to find it on our own. Great location that we are looking forward to coming back to someday!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The setting is beautiful, we watched a three toed sloth meander around for a few days and couldn’t keep up with the number of beautiful birds that we saw. The water for showers can be a bit tricky from time to time but overall this place is secluded and perfect for a nice getaway.

Beautiful hose for sure. Response from host was bad. We didn’t get much help getting there. ( I only have WiFi so have to stop a lot and the didn’t always answer. Also the TV was in French and everyday for 3 days they said they would send someone to fix it. They never did. Power went out for 6 hours in the middle of the night leaving us in pitch black darkness with no WiFi or light. Washing a load of laundry too 2 hours during which time you cannot use the water anywhere else. The $$ is for the view…. That’s all.

I'm sorry you felt you didn't receive much help. We sent you check-in instructions several weeks before your arrival. On the day of your scheduled check-in we sent you 5 messages between the hours of 9:32 am and 6:05 pm without any answer.
We weren't notified of the issue with the TV - that's simple setting change.
In terms of not having WiFi when the power is out in the region - again, we are sorry, but WiFi needs electricity and the entire region was without power at that time.
Perhaps you would prefer one of our other 40+ properties we manage. We're sorry you did not enjoy this one.

4x4 indispensable pour accéder au logement. Nous avons été accompagné par quelqu'un de l'agence.
Seul bémol, bruit des cigales extrêmement fort du levé du jour au coucher du soleil. Difficile de rester dehors. Peut être est ce seulement pendant une periode de l'année..
