Villas and Places to Stay in Costa Rica

We loved this house! We had 3 kids and 5 adults, and everyone loved it! So so much wildlife — monkeys, lizards, frogs, spiders, birds, coati mundi….The pool was so nice and everything was very clean! All the AC units worked great, the balcony was breathtaking and it was nice having a 2nd house/pool so everyone could have their own space. We had a few open afternoons and we opted to stay at the house because we loved it so much. You definitely need 4WD or AWD as there is a steep incline on a rocky road to get to the house. By the end of our stay, I enjoyed the drive to and from the house — it was an adventure of it’s own. There is a grocery store at the bottom of the hill that had everything we needed. It was about a 10-15 min drive to Whale’s Tail beach and about 1 hour and 20 minute drive to Manuel Antonio.

Perfect stay. Wonderful property with everything you can imagine. Mexican Restaurant and supermarket only 100-300 meters away. Close to the beach and whale watching excursion. We loved it and would always choose it again

La ubicación del lugar es hermososimo, vale totalmente la pena ir y recomendaría el espacio a cualquier persona, sin embargo aclararia un par de cosas. 1.las fotos dan la impresión de que el lugar es de una planta y muy amplio esto no es así, los cuartos sala comedor y cocina están en un segundo piso (y el espacio de nuevo es bellisimo!) pero para llegar a la piscina hay que bajar gradas. el espacio de la piscina es hermosisimo pero sigue bajo construcción esa área visualmente no fue agradable. Finalmente la puerta del balcon que da a la sala y comedor amanecía inundada y causo un par de accidentes. OSA Property Management is a great Host. We have stayed at several of their properties and twice at this specific one. We will always look for them as our first choice in this area. Everything was awesome! Totally recommend them!

We had a great stay at Casita Catalina, which is walking distance to the beach. It has a great pool, AC, and fast wifi. The two-suite layout works well for a family. Host communication was great, very responsive, with clear check-in instructions well ahead of arrival. Everything went smoothly. We were especially grateful for the host connecting us with a local transportation service we wouldn’t have been able to find on our own. We’d stay again and recommend for families looking for a comfortable spot near the beach.

Nos encantó hospedarnos aquí. La casa es hermosa, muy cómoda y está equipada con todo lo necesario, incluso más de lo esperado. La piscina estaba impecable y el entorno combina tranquilidad, naturaleza y una excelente ubicación, muy cerca de todo en Ojochal. Sin duda, un lugar ideal para descansar y disfrutar. ¡Lo recomendamos totalmente y esperamos volver!

Es un lugar magnífico para vacacionar relajándose observando el mar escuchando las aves con la comodidad de casa .

While the drive in was a little exciting, when we finally arrived we knew we’d made a good choice. This home is in a great location, up above the beach with visits from toucans, monkeys and other animals, but still close to everything beautiful and fun. Our kids loved the pools and spotting wildlife. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and baking. The water pressure can be dicey, especially if multiple showers are going, and my kids did not love the fact that the showers were see-through glass to the outside, but that was my favorite thing to stand in the shower and watch our toucan sit in the top of the trees. (No one can walk around the side of the house where the showers look lit so there is no danger of being peeped by someone while showering, as a side note). You absolutely have to have 4×4 and high clearance to get up the hill past Perezoso wellness and down the road the rest of the way into the property. I would 100% return again. 8 guests, 6 kids and 2 adults.
